You are bidding on: Vintage 1940's First Communion Rosary. Complete except for the Crucifix. The Center Medal is marked"Sterling MVM" I think the chain is Sterling also but cannot verify this. A section of 5 crystals is missing that connects the crucifix. I have included a bag of 21 genuine crystal faceted beads that are the same shape for you to add to this rosary. There are more than enough. You only need 5 and I have 21 crystals for you. The detailed connecting medal and crucifix are both signed Chapel Sterling. Gorgeous rosary well worth the inexpensive repair! The rosary weighs 41.4 grams and the bag of crystal beads weighs 24.6 grams for a total weight of 66.0 grams. Just wonderful. Approx. measurements of the rosary is 34" long with the medal and cross piece measuring an additional 7 1/4" Laid out flat on a ruler. It measures 24 3/8" long. The cross measures 2 3/8" tall and 1 1/4" wide while the faceted beads measure 1/4" wide. Approx. weight is 66 grams. The rosary is in excellent condition. It has been polished lightly but could use a bit more. The Cross is marked Sterling on the back along with a maker's mark of a M inside a triangle. Really a wonderful Sterling rosary. This is a beautiful vintage rosary made of faceted 12mm Swarovski crystal beads and Sterling Silver; some of the beads are capped. The rosary ends with an ornate and detailed Sterling Silver Crucifix. The sterling centerpiece is equally detailed with the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the front and a smaller image of the Madonna with a burning heart on the other side(mark sterling) The rosary measures 27-1/4" from the tip of the crucifix to the back bead(really long) The cross alone is 2.36 x 1.57" 60mmx 40mm) The chain sections and the wires that string the beads have been tested and they too are sterling. This Vintage Sterling Silver and Faceted Crystal Rosary Beads is in its Original White Satin and Blue Velvet Box. It measures 21-1/2" long and weighs XX grams. The Colorless Crystal Beads have flat tops with a slightly smaller waist and link together with Sterling links. The Scrolled Cross measures 2" tall and 1-1/4" wide and is stamp marked. STERLING" The Center Medal measures 7/8" and has an embossed picture of the Virgin Mary and on the other side is Jesus; it is also stamp marked, STERLING" This Rosary was used and several of the Crystal Beads have tiny flea bites.
