Offered here a vintage 1950's/1960's? Sacred Heart Shrine. This stunning piece of religious folk art looks to be all handmade by a wonderful unknown artist. A wide variety of materials were used to create this shrine: fabric. Metal, wood, moss, ribbon, and cardboard. All these items were crafted in an elegant and professional way. On each side of the piece is a picture one of Jesus, the other Mary, both have the Sacred Heart image. The center contains an alter/shrine made of metal, wood, and dried flowers with a crucifix hanging above. The frame is made of hammered metal with a bubble glass front. The back of the is a solid sheet of metal- which does have rusting. Frame measures 11" x 18" This item is being sold in used vintage condition. It is in wonderful shape, but is NOT perfect!
