Chinese Celadon Glazed Stoneware Small Vase with modelled Temple/Shrine Scene
This is a very attractive little Chinese stoneware vase. It is hand modelled with a three dimensional temple or shrine on one side- this is left unglazed. The rest of tvase has a celadon glaze. Rather a lovely little thing- a very nice piece of work. But no makers marks, and I can'tdate it exactly, but certainly pre 1960. Size: 3 1/4 inches high(8.5 cm) Weight: 127 grammes Condition- good- ther emay be a little chip to one edge of the modelled temple: it looks like a tiny piece of foliage has broken off- this is not obvious damage.see the photos.

Delightful Japanese Travel Shrine with Buddha Figure Gold Interior 1850-1900 Presented is delightful small travel shrine and Buddha figurine. Made in Japan. This shrine is made of black painted wood with two opening doors to show a gilded lining and Buddha figure. The Buddha sits on a lion or foo dog. And is a typical Japanese style Buddha, somewhat less portly than is often seen. We would date this shrine to about 1850-1900. This shrine is in good shape overall. The door is cracked. Here is a spiritual old Mexican prayer offering box I believe it dates to the early 1900's It is wood painted in a turquoise green color over an older periwinkle blue It has a glass front with a print of the Virgin Mary and cloth flowers. The coin slot in in front and a drawer opens in the back to retrieve the coins The back has a latched door. It opens to reveal hand written names on paper. The drawer has a lock and key but it does not lock properly. The lock does not lift high enough into the wood to hold it closed. This charming old historical piece measures 10.75" high. 5.25" wide and 5" deep. Condition is as shown.
