Misty Forest" is an early Peter Lik image taken in Queensland with 50 ASA 6 x17 fuji velvia format slide film(1958 Linhoff camera) It was released as a limited edition of 100 with 10 AP's. This is a gallery display that was created for Lik's Kona gallery. And then given to me as a gift from the company when the Kona gallery closed. It has been handled very little, and is in great condition. It is a 1 meter panoramic silver halide photograph mounted and framed by Peter Lik Gallery, printed and signed"N.F.S"in the bottom right corner. It is framed in Lik's signature Italian olive wood moulding(charcoal color) made by Roma, with an acid free black linen. The plexi/lexan has some very minor scratches that are hard to find, and the frame itself is in great shape. Up for auction is a very unusual page turner/bookmark. Which can also be used as a letter opener. The page turner is made of olive wood and is 8 3/4" long. The blade is 1 1/4" at its widest. The abstract Fleur De Lis handle has a painted word Nice. Which is for Nice, France. There is also a beautiful hand painted bird on the blade. The condition of the page turner/ bookmark is very good with some loss to the paint on the bird. There is no damage or repairs. Not sure of the age. But it is quite old. Very rare collectible. DESCRIPTION& CONDITION In this auction is a pair of green and tan/brown wood MEXICO salt and pepper shakers! They both measure around 4 5/8" tall by a little under 2" wide at the base. They have great carved floral designs. And the tips can be uncapped to fill them with salt and pepper(I'm not sure if these are food grade, though, or just meant to be decorative? There are some notable cracks and scuffs/scratches or chipping to the designs, as well as maybe some stray marks, roughness to the wood(especially in the caps) and light sticky residue on the bases from the price sticker. Overall, though, they're a really unique and lovely little pair, just waiting to go to a new home! I can't vouch for their life before me. But my home is smoke-free. This set includes the following: 2-24x14 bass drums.6x9 power tom,8x9 power tom,10x9 power tom,12x11 power tom, 13x12 power tom, 14x13 power tom, 15x13 power tom, 16x15 power tom and a 18x16 floor tom. All drums are chrome sheet metal riveted to 6 ply maple shells with trim rings on the bottom. All drums have the blue/olive badges. The hardware that is included will be the 2 bass drum tom mounts, bass drum spurs, floor tom legs and a partial tom stand missing top half for the 15& 16 inch toms. All drums are in good played with condition showing scratches, dings, blemishes and some discoloration. The 6" tom is wrapped in a chrome plastic covering which matches the other drums. Antique Victorian Olive Wood Book # Jerusalem # Painted Views & Pressed Flowers
This lovely old book has an olivewood cover with a carved depiction of the Dome of the Rock shrine on the front. The title is"Flowers and Views of the Holy Land" and is written in English. German and French. Inside are 12 painted views of the Holy Land with original pressed flowers from each place. The flowers are real and NOT prints and are in very good condition although there is some slight deterioration as you would expect. However. The colours are still vibrant. The views are very colourful and the colours are still bright. There is some damage to the surface paper on a few pages but the cards are in very good condition. There is a little foxing. The cover is in very good condition but the spine has partially detached from the pages. The book is 6.25in/ 16cm x 4in/ 10cm. Very long piece. Nice grain but shifted in the mill so it is about 2" on one side and about 1-1/4 on the other. Wax sealed. Width is fairly uniform 10" or so. Mostly heartwood. Live edge on both sides. Borers did some damage to the sapwood. Mostly to the blond and a little to the purplish layers. They rarely go into the pretty wood. Wood is free of wood destroying organisms. If you want to make a table. Bench etc, I have dry branches available from 2" 8" in diameter(2.50/lb) Can cut to order($50.00 min order plus ship) Sorry, cannot combine shipping with branch material. If you want the plank cut down,if I could box the order, I could then combine shipping. Olive wood is very hard and slow to dry. It requires sealing of all sides with wax as its grain is very irregular. This wood was salvaged from the Santiago Fire of ... more2007(Orange County. California) and was part of the olive groves originally planted by Helena Modjeska in the early 1900’s. Most of these pieces were slab sawn, sealed and dried for more than 2 years. They were then heated to 130 degrees for 3 weeks to kill off beetles and any other wood destroying organism. From these dry slabs I cut a variety of pieces, trying to select for the best grain. There are often many splits and checks in rough wood, and as much as 50% of a log ends up as firewood as a result. Particularly if pieces larger than pen blanks are desired. In larger pieces there will be splits and checks. The yield for any board always depends upon the desired use. If you are making one of these slabs into a slab cutting board your loss will be near zero. On some of these there is what I would consider an“A” side. This wood burns(by saw blade/ jointer planer. Etc. fairly easily. The burns present would be best sanded out. It is VERY hard and prone to tear-out, so don’t expect finish grade from jointed or planed surfaces; even with fresh blades. Don’t expect HHS blades to hold an edge long. Sanding and hand scraping may be the only way to get down to a fine finished surface.

Judaica Jewish Vintage Olive wood Etrog BOX Bezalel Jerusalem
Hello. I picked up this old box from the thrift store. It has such a lovely feel that I couldn't pass it up even with some of those flaws. As you can see from photos that this box is quite old, there are a few small aged hair line cracks in the wood all around but the box is still intact& feel solid. One repair on the bottom looks like an amateur job with a bit messy glue that needs to be sanded off. Apart from that repair, I don't mind all that cracks in the wood at all. I think it shows the age and gives out a good vibe somehow. The hinge is in good condition, opens and close fine. No Key with it.
