I've been investigating for more than 50 years and have worked with numerous police departments and agencies across the United States and abroad. With my children grown. We moved to a smaller home. Due to space limitations, I began selling off some of my extensive collection from my years of investigating. Friends suggested that Ebay would provide a venue for these items. I am not an antique expert and am describing this item from what I see and with the information provided to me and learned in our investigation. I have this item in my collection, and all other items I list, strictly due to their association with paranormal activity. The item up for auction is a 1942 military missal that was given ... moreto a soldier in World War II. The missal was taken into combat and used by a soldier that was a devout Catholic. He prayed with this missal and used it daily. It provided great comfort to the soldier. Giving him not only a connection to God and his faith, but also to home. The young man wrote home to his parents and to his priest, a close friend of his family. He wrote about mixed feelings. He was proud to serve his country but felt horrible about killing other young men that still had their whole life ahead of them. They were as proud as he was, to serve their country. Jimmy hoped that God would forgive him for taking the lives of others and he wrote about this to the priest and explained that he used the little missal each day in the few minutes he got here or there- usually in a fox hole or a building that had been blown up. Jimmy didn't make it home from the war. Like thousands of other soldier he fought alongside with, he was killed and buried in the American cemetery in France. The little pocket missal up for auction did make it home with some of Jimmy's other belongings. The missal measures 4 1/8 inches by 2 3/4 inches. It has 129 pages and is 1/4 of an inch thick

Saint Joseph Missal Completely Revised Edition. Copyright 1961. Catholic Book Publishing, New York. Wonderful missal that is clean and well preserved. The Bible comes with a nice protective case over the hard covers. The inside of the Bible has a few vintage holy cards dispersed throughout. Which I will leave intact. The outside edges(pink) of the Bible have some staining/ circular marks. I have seen this age issue on many of the missals from that time. The inside pages appear to be quite clean and vibrant. There may be a minor stain or imperfection here and there. But overall, it is quite nice. Slightly older smell. Very nice missal!

Here we have a St. Joseph Sunday Missal. Edition 1961. This is a VINTAGE ESTATE treasure. This missal is in EXCELLENT condition. There is a dedication page dated Christmas 1963. According to the note it was given as a Christmas gift. Holy Mass is in Latin and English. There are many color plates depicting many of the parables of the New Testament. In addition. There are color plates in the pages, the stations of the Cross and so on. The missal is in excellent condition: the binding tight. The gold pages in excellent condition, the color ribbons as well. Other than the dedication page there is no other writing. The pictures speak for themselves. There is really no wear or tear on this missal. Measures: 6.0 x 4.0 x 1.5 inches.

It is full of specific prayers for every need and occasion. I'll give a partial list of the prayers at the bottom of my description so that you can see what I mean!
