Up for auction is this really lovely vintage holy water font. It is made of silver metal and depicts St. Anne De Beaupre. There is a glass cup which attaches and you can take out if you would like. There looks like there is a straw mark in the glass- I do not think it is a crack but not sure as it doesn't go all the way through and looks like a straw mark. It is approx. 5" from top to bottom and 3 1/2" at widest point. Some light discoloration to the metal in areas but nothing major. Great addition to your collection.

Vintage Wooden Wall Crucifix Sick Call Last Rites Cross Holy Water Bottle Candle
This Last Rites/Sick Call Crucifix for the wall is pretty nice. Not the oldest I've ever owned. But I think it has some age to it. It's just over 13" tall and inside is the Holy Water Bottle and 2 candles(one of which is bent probably from heat) The glass bottle has a rainbow/carnival glass irredescence to it when you hold it in the light, and looks like the old glass, especially at the bottom. There is a 7, then a circle mark with FF? inside in script and 1480. I don't know if that helps to date this or not, and it's difficult to make out very well. This highly embossed and decorative bottle is clear in color and stands 3-1/2" tall by 2" wide. It is crude in appearance with hand tooled tapered ring lip, elongated neck with lower collar, squared side panels and amazing, detailed high relief embossing. The back side has a recessed cross. The front side has four smaller crosses in each of the four corners surrounding a large central leaf within a larger cross. Collectable Vintage Clear Holy Water Bottle with Decorative Metal Cap
This is a very authentic bottle for holding holy water. It's a true vintage. It belonged to my grandfather who has passed away back in the late 1960's and was about 78 years old. It looks to be made in the US with a mold as there is a seam on the sides of the glass. It is 6" in diameter and 3.5" from top of cap to bottom of bottle. Embossed on one side of the glass is a cross and on the other the words HOLY WATER. The cork on the cap is somewhat worn but in tacked. The glass is cloudy from age. The top looks to be pewter. FATIGUED FRENCH FINDS fatiguedfrenchfinds This is a beautiful little late 19 th century French. Hand carved meerschaum holy water font. It shows the miracle at Lourdes; so intricately carved for such a small item. The ebonized wood cross is also hand carved but in a much cruder fashion. It is finished off with a small porcelain shell shaped holy water font. The meerschaum carving is enclosed in a small brass frame with bombé glass. The back cover which would have enclosed the meerschaum carving has gone but the piece is still held firmly in place with the original fixings. It has part to the original label still affixed to the wood and I can make out part of the name Soubirou and the date Juillet 1876& Mai 18? There is hand writing along the bottom edge of the carving and I can just make out the words Lourdes but I am unable to decipher ... morethe rest. Pair / Set of two antique brass Holy Water fonts Catholic Mass Altar
This auction is for a set of two small. Used, antique wall-mount Holy Water fonts from a Catholic Church. This set is probably best for a chapel or small Church. The back-plates are solid brass and quite heavy. The back-plates measure 8"H x 2.5"W x 1/4" thick and the cup-rings are 3 3/16" diameter and about 3" tall. The back-plates and rings were also in pretty tarnished condition, so we stripped the lacquer, polished the metal, re-sprayed with 4 heavy coats of lacquer. This was not done by a professional, so it is not perfect, but it looks pretty good. The other pieces of this set(plastic liner-cups and base metal cups) also needed work. The inner plastic cups are perfectly fitted for the base aluminum cups. The base aluminum was somewhat rough and oxidized. Because it looks like they may have put the holy water ... moredirectly in them for a while because the plastic cups were so corroded with hard water deposits. The plastic liner-cups cleaned up nicely with some simple vinegar. With the metal base-cups, we painted over the base aluminum metal to protect it and make them look a little better(the oxidized aluminum looked pretty dirty and bad with the brass) We used a hammered-copper Rust-Oleum paint. After all of this cleaning and re-finishing. This set didn't work well in our setting when mounted, so we never even used them. We ended up changing and using a different(larger) set for our church anyway(because the cups on this set are kind of small- most church fonts have more of a 5" diameter cup) Certainly not"new" or"original" Or perfectly re-finished, but a pretty good set. We just want to get something out of them now, because we won't be using them. New fonts are often $300 each($600/pair) so we'll start bidding on these at $250 with free shipping.
