This is a rare version from the late 1860s which is growing quite scarce in the market. This sample is a well used and worn but contains all the necessary examples when the salesman needed them for influence on his customers. The covers are the original binding. They have sadly nearly det ached with the spine leather suffering much damage and loss; the interior binding is worn. With a few pages detached, many chipped. There is a slight indentation at the sound-hole area, but it looks to be only at the finish level. There is also a blip on the top side on the upper bout that you can see in the last picture, but it is not as bad as it looks in the picture, the light is scattered in the picture through the crack in the finish. This is a large 1903 Crams map of the Holy Land. It measures 14 1/2 X 22 inches. This map is genuine. Not a copy or reprint. It may have a few handling flaws as to be expected in a map this age and large. Please enlarge upper scan for condition of map. Map was taken from the Cram's Modern Atlas which is near impossible to obtain. We take special care in shipping these maps as there are no replacements. This is what's referred to as the"Holy Grail" of Kent electric guitars. The rare and elusive model 742 solid body 4 pick-up. This guitar has been in my collection for some time. And I was planning on a complete restoration at some point(though it doesn't need much) but due to the unforseen theft of my truck and the ensuing expenses, I have to sell off a great deal of my collection. The guitar is a rare"natural" finish. The body has had new clear at some point to protect it. And from the looks of it, it did a great job. These are usually beat to#$! but this one is definitely not. The binding is nice all the way around.No chips or gouges.no cracks in the clear or the wood.the flamed maple stands out very well, and the tortoise pickguard is really deep and shiny in appearance. No dirt or grunge to deal with. The clear ... moreis such that in my professional opinion. It could be finish sanded with 600 or finer, and buffed to a mirror finish. it's just not something I'm going to get into at this point. The neck has not been refinished. And the clear shows some wear, but overall it's nice. The original vibrato arm was missing, but the vibrato works great with your'palm'I made a custom chrome plated vibrato cover for it. That can be drilled easily for the original arm. Looks great. All 4 pick-ups work correctly, and their corresponding switches.all volumes and tones work as well.a couple of the knobs have been changed through the years. And is evident in that a couple of the little"V" or"T" symbols aren't right.One V is a T, and vice versa.No biggie, and the colors of the knob arrays are correct which is a miracle in itself on this guitar. The original mute option is there and works with the original pad. Adjustable bridge works great and is clean. The guitar is literally a"plug and play" vintage piece. No repairs needed. And it's properly set-up too. The fretboard has been painstakingly leveled. And all of the frets have been freshly crowned
