Antique Gold Roman Chasuble Fiddleback Vestment for Catholic Priest, Clergy
Gold Colored Roman Chasuble/Fiddleback Vestment for Low Mass This beautiful Chasuble is in very good antique condition. It has been recently refurbished and can once again be employed for Divine Worship. This particular vestment was originally made in France and is very substantial and heavy. Although I am not certain of the material. It reminds me of cloth of gold and feels almost metallic. The Chasuble. Maniple, and stole have been completely relined with red satin fabric. There are no rips or tears in the shell of the chasuble although there is some faint spots of mild discoloration. The chalice veil and burse were constructed from a dalmatic that was beyond repair, which is why there is a unique pattern formed with the galloons. I should note that the burse cannot be opened. All pains have been taken to salvage the beautiful lamb on the ... moreback of the vestment. Some of the metal parts of the lamb's legs were lost to time and have been replaced with thread. New longer strings were added to the inside front of the chasuble that help to secure the vestment to the waist of the priest. This set includes: Chasuble. Stole, Maniple, Burse, Chalice Veil. The dimensions of the chasuble is approximately: Back: 39" from shoulder to hem; 25" across. Front: 34.5" from shoulder to hem; 22" across at widest point. Please note this is an antique vestment that I believe is close to 100 years old. There will be signs of aging; yet despite its age. It has held up quite nicely. If you should have any questions. Antique St. Phillip Neri Style red Chasuble
Here is an antique Chasuble. In the style of St. Phillip Neri(Due to large proportions. The back is in beautiful shape except for the trim on the edges, does need some loving care. The Front is more worn, see photos. In the center of the front, one can see the wear of it rubbing against the altar of many times. Also looks like someone replaced a section in the center of the front long ago, from the middle to the bottom(all the sections in this section appear either newer or mismatched) From the back, measures 28.5 inches wide and 48.5 from bottom to the bottom of the neck line. The Front measures 27 inches wide at the widest point towards the bottom. The cloth used has an extremely soft and luxurious feel to it. Maniple = is slightly worn. But wasn't used as much as the rest of the set. Fringe at the bottom is beautiful shape. Stole = ... moreis more worn than the maniple. But relative to the chasuble, is in better shape(pattern wise) although portions of it are somewhat faded. Typical slight soiling to the trim around the neckline. Backing is still intact, but could be replaced to freshen it up. Measures 48 inches from the cross made of trim to the start of the fringe at the bottom. 3 inches wide. Like the Chasuble, 3/4ths of the trim appears to have been replaced at some point, but is identical to the original. Suspect it was replaced because it is brighter with not as many signs of wear. However, I don't think it was anytime recent- even it is soiled and shows some wear. Backing on all 3 pieces feels like it made of a linen broadcloth. Now faded with age. Soiled, threadbare in some areas along the edges, but overall intact. Overall. The set is usable now and is striking in appearance. If this was re-worked, and re-backed, with some love and care, could serve another couple generations! SEE photos to complete the description. If you want any additional photos. Antique Green Chasuble and Stole for Catholic Priest, Clergy Vestment for Mass
Beautiful Antique Green Chasuble and Stole for Mass This is an antique green chasuble and stole set for the celebration of the Mass. It is in good condition with very little wear. The material is of a kelly green that is much more Roman than the darker forest green color that is often produced today. The back is embroidered with a cross that is composed of flowers with the iconic IHS in the center. The front is a simple pillar composed in the same theme as the back. There are two strings that are used to secure the vestment around the waist of the priest. The matching stole is in very good condition and its adorned with metallic fringe on the bottom. It has a sewn cloth around the neck to absorb any sweat that may damage the material. The only sign of age and wear is found on the front between the embroidered part of the vestment. The cloth ... moreis slightly distressed and is beginning to fray. This can be seen in the photos 6& 7 provided above. Aside from this. The lining is in excellent condition for its age. this is a gorgeous colored catholic vestment. Deep salmon color with red ribbon and gold embroidery. There are two small flaws +please see photos+ the first is 2 small holes on top piece of fabric.But hardly noticeable because lining piece is intact. The second is some smudge marks on lower back near hem(I think these can be washed out but I didn't want to mess with it) garment measures 43" inches from back if neck to lower hem and is made from a rayon/ poly material with a sheen. This is a beautiful vintage monastic style purple and blue chasuble and stole set by C.M. Almy. The chasuble is purple color with a full blue monastic rolled collar and a large. Blue St. George's cross on the front. The chasuble has a maker's tag which reads,C.M. Almy& Sons, Rye, New York Made in U.S.A. The stole is a matching purple with a blue cross on the neck and a white lace neck protector sewn on. Each end panel has a matching 3 inch blue stripe. The stole is mitered and contoured at the neck for proper fit. There is a little light sweat staining on the white neck protector. Otherwise the chasuble and stole are in very good. Late 19th century hand sewn Fiddleback Chasuble(from Casula. Meaning little tent) with matching Chalice Pall and Stole. The items are all handsewn, top surface is crushed velvet(purple) and the reverse is silk. The orphery is a gold colored brocade with metalic thread interwoven, hand stitched. All three pieces, the Chasuble, Chalice Pall and Stole have similiar material, stitching and broccade except the Stole has metallic spring-like fringes. Vintage Custom Made Redwork Chasuble Vestment with Stole "In Memory Of" Catholic
This item is from a local church that closed down. It has been recently dry cleaned and is ready for immediate use! Please see my other listings for more items from this closure. This Chasuble with matching stole is white with a beautiful redwork type accent. I have shown both the front and the back. As you can see. The redwork is on both sides. The only tag on this garment reads"In Memory Of" What a wonderful way to remember a loved one during church services! The chasuble measures 40 inches along the entire length of the redwork from neck to hem. The accent is 4 1/4 inches wide. It is in very good vintage condition. The only issue I noticed is a tiny black spot about the size of the tip of a ball point pen. The matching stole measures approximately 98 inches in total length. It measures 4 inches wide. The stole is also in very ... moregood condition. I see no issues with the stole. I see no other signs of holes. Rips, stains, etc. on either item. Additional photos available upon request.
