The torso and sleeves are fully lined. There is a row of wooden buttons down the front. There may be 1 or 2 missing ... moreat the bottom, but there is an extra button in the pocket. The buttons are on a placket that conceals a full length zipper so no need to deal with buttoning up those many buttons. There is a snap covered by a button at the top. The collar is padded as are the shoulders. There is an inside breast pocket. Concealed pockets are combined with a slit so that you may put something in the pocket of the vestment or be able to reach your pants pockets. The bottom hem is reinforced on the reverse side with a fringed trim so that the fringe hits the floor and not the bottom of the hem. This also weights the hem down. Some of the buttons on the front appear to have been replaced as although the fronts look the same, the backs are different. Overall nice condition on this vintage cassock. Vintage priest vicar church long black vestment cassock fine wool chest size 42"
This is a vintage cassock. In fine black wool- probably dating from around 1950s. In black- the cassock fastens down the front with black buttons. There are two side pockets with two side slits to allow access inside the cassock. There is a pleated vent at the back and two side pleats. The cassock has a cropped collar to allow wear with a white(dog) collar. In good condition- there is no obvious damage on this item. Some slight wear around the edges on the collar but nothing too serious. The sleeves and the hem have been taken up to make shorter and could be let down again. There is no makers label. Size- size 42. Chest size 42 inches. From armpit to armpit is approx 22 1/2 inches. Length from nape of neck to hem is 51 inches- a large hem has been turned up so could let down 3 inches. This is a vintage cassock. In black cotton- probably dating from around 1950s. In black- the cassock fastens down the front with black buttons. There are two side pockets with two side slits to allow access inside the cassock. There is a pleated vent at the back and two side pleats. The cassock has a cropped collar to allow wear with a white(dog) collar. In fair condition- there is no obvious damage on this item but some signs of wear and age. Some wear around the button holes and some buttons are missing or odd so may need to be replaced. The hem has been turned up using cellotape! and needs to be re-hemmed. The cassock needs cleaning and pressing as it is creased and needs freshening. Size- size 38. Chest size 38 inches. From armpit to armpit is approx 19 1/2 inches. Toomey Jesuit lightweight Cassock and cincture
Well used but not worn out this is a Summertime Jesuit Cassock from Toomey with a cincture(sash) with fringe(Velcro and snaps on waistband part) This is made of a washable poly-cotton fabric with triple pleats in back and slits on the sides to reach your pockets. It is 58 inches long(which comes with 33 inch sleeves) With a 15 inch neck and 40 inch chest. There are slight discolorations in the armpit areas. R. J. Toomey Summertime Cassock This is a very nice cassock. It is a summertime cassock. Meaning it is very light-weight. It's in great condition. It has all 21 black plastic buttons. Nice collar on it. Nice at the ends of the sleeves and the bottom of the cassock. No signs usage there. Length of the Cassock form the bottom of the collar to the end is 4 feet 8 inches.
