Is a private co-educational college-preparatory institution in Hawai ʻ i. The original Kamehameha School for Boys was established in 1887 on the site which is currently occupied by Bishop Museum. Kamehameha was established in 1887 under the terms of the last will and testament of Bernice Pauahi Bishop. A direct descendant of Kamehameha the Great and last of the House of Kamehameha. Bishop's will established a trust currently called the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Estate, the largest private landowner in the state of Hawai ʻ i. Income from the trust is used to operate the schools. This item is original from the 1890s– 1910’s era that was passed down from a relative. It is an Original Wave Crest hand painted bishop hat mold dresser box jar. The brass ormulu bands are detailed and the brass hinge and catch clasp work perfectly. Gorgeous detail on this piece featuring a lady sitting on a fence in a field with a picnic basket at her feet. Bottom is marked WAVE CREST. Very good condition with no chips. Cracks or flaws. I would say the condition is pristine but the silk lining material is missing. The hand painted design is not faced in any manner. This is the harder to find larger size. Old Bishop Babcock Brass Cast Iron Air Shallow Dive Diving Air Pump Steam Punk
Nice. Definitely a project. It is in need of a cleaning. Retains some of the decorative original stencil on the cast iron pieces. The round cylinders and tops are brass. Caked grease and oil, light rust on the cast iron pieces, etc. Leathers are worn inside, greasy inside, so it is a little stiff when you run it, no handle. One of the rocker arm pins is not original. Marked The Bishop and Babcock Company, Cincinnati Ohio. This probably had multiple uses from an air pump for shallow diving to pumping liquids such as beer, oil, gas, water, etc. Nice Project, restoration or an awesome steam punk table lamp. Just in time for the holidays I'm offering this wonderful Staffordshire pottery TURKEY PLATTER. It was made in England around 1890 at the Bishop& Stonier(BISTO) factory. The pattern is"Lincoln" The platter is just over 21" long and 17" across. The back is marked as pictured. This piece is in remarkable estate condition with no chips. Cracks or even crazing of the glaze. There are a few paint rubs around the rim-not at all excessive but mentioned for accuracy. Rare 1586 Paraphrasis In Psalmos by Cornelius Jansen, Bishop of Ghent
Collectors and scholars alike will enjoy this offering of a rare early printed book by Cornelius Jansen(1510-1576) The Elder, Bishop of the See of Ghent. The book was printed in 1586 and contains 2 distinct parts. The first part is a paraphrasing of the Psalms and annotations with additional explanation of the texts and is 336 pages. The second part is a Commentary on Solomon’s Proverbs and is 583 pages plus an Index. The book was published at Lugduni by the typographer Theobaldi Ancelin. And edited by Peter(Petrum) Landry. The Latin title from the first title page is as follows: Paraphrasis in Psalmos omnes Davidicos cum argumentis et annotationibus Itemque Inca Veteris Testamenti Cantica. Quae per singulas ferias Ecclesiasticus Vsus obseruat Cornelii Iansenii episcopi Gandavensis Eivsdem In Proverbia Salomonis& Ecclesiasticum accuratissima ... moreCommentaria The binding is of fawn calf with 6 nerves along the spine. The center of the front and back boards have a faded embossing. Possibly the arms of Henry III; the upper right corner of the front board also has embossing, possibly of a fleur-de-lis. The book has stamps from the Convent of St. Salvatore in“Limerici” predominantly on the end papers and title pages, but also on a few pages in the book itself. Research does not yield the exact location, but possibly this may have been a Convent in Limerick, Ireland. There are also hand notations on the title dated 1589, 1593 and 1680. The notations are in Latin and indicate a library and past owners, but the writing is difficult to decipher. For those who have such an aptitude, the photos show close-ups of those areas. The book is in good condition with light yellow/foxing at edges of the parchment pages and particularly on the endpapers. The bottom corners of the book. Opposite the spine are worn off and the top of the spine is similarly worn with a tear halfway across the leather, visible in the photo. The outward facing edge of the pages has 1 ½” x ½” writing which seems to be crossed out or was otherwise

All of these Lefton lighthouses are from the Lost Lights series and are in their original tin boxes, their presentation boxes and have their certificates of authenticity. You can see its name and date of 1857 on the brass plate attached to the front of the cherry wood base that is included. Research of family members. Military history, Montana history, etc. would suggest that the items described and presented in this lot are of this story line. They all were part of his personal possessions. Kept together in his humidor-type box. They left Kalispell with a parade that lead them to the train on May 5. 1898 and the events that occurred up to this day as written in the Inter lake newspaper.
