These pipes were recently removed from a fully-functional pipe organ. We picked them up for a job that has since changed directions so the pipes are surplus. While we can't say with any certainty as to their source. The voicing and construction style appears to match that of Robert Noehren, who did a few instruments in the area that yielded these pipes. They are in good shape with only minor(and easily repaired) cosmetic damage. They need very minor cleaning just to be sure no dust remains. And they will be ready to play again! We can do both the cleaning and repair at extra cost if you'd like. Since there are many missing tuning sleeves and some are not properly fit, those should ... morebe replaced also. These would speak the equivalent of the top octave(notes 49-60) of a 4' rank. Trim them down very slightly and they would work for notes 50-61. They are voiced on about 3" wind pressure give or take. Pipe organ 12 pipes Austin Rohrflute trebles top octave of 4'
This is the top octave of a 73 note Rohrfloute rank from Austin opus 1148 which was in Seattle. They are unused in my installation since the rank is straight. The top octave is open metal. While the rest of the rank was stopped wood. It is a beefy sound, being the great flute in contrast to the swell flute, and these pipes are large in scale for their pitch. They are in nearly mint condition. Rare Vintage WICKS Organ Co. Display including Custom Wooden Display Stand with Two Organ Pipes and One Draw Knob. The two pipes are very close in tone. Marked on the pipes E& F(though they sound the same to my musically untrained ears) and the stand is made very precisely such that the slightly larger pipe does not fit in the smaller hole(the larger of the two will not touch bottom in the improper hole, thus making a clear display of the great precision going into the making and tuning of Wicks organ pipes. 8' Dopple Flute wooden pipe rank with 49 pipes. All pipes have double mouths. One one each side of the pipe. This is a TC(tenor c) rank and starts at 4' C pitch. Pipes are in generally good condition though dirty and will need cleaning a possibly some minor repairs. The leather on the stoppers is older and probably should be redone. I would guess these originally played on approximately 4" wind pressure. The longest pipe measures 38" in length. One pipe in the top octave is a replacement.

58 pipes in all. All consecutive,bottom 49 reed, top 9 open metal oboe. There are several pipes that need repair, 1 mitered joint has separated and there are 3 I noticed that the foot had split at seam, damage easily repairable( see pictures) Asides from that and a few minor dents, they are in pretty good shape. Overall height of the cc pipe is 58.5' Sorry but I do not know exactly what wind pressure these were used with. Local pick up preferred. I could ship these. They are dull and dusty so I have given several of them a light polish. By hand, just to bring them back to life- and what a difference it makes! Its difficult to date them, but I would guess about 20s or 30s, looking at the box. The phone no of A M Lock with four digits might help to indicate age. This is the top octave of a 73 note Dulciana rank a Hillgreen-Lane rebuild of a Johnson and Son organ in Mount Vernon Ohio. Which I removed twenty years ago. Hillgreen-Lane made these pipes to extend the rank for a supercoupler. They are unused in my installation since the rank is straight. They are very mild and quite flutey, but could no doubt become much brighter if the toeholes were opened up. They are in nearly mint condition. The original pressure was four-five inches.

This is the top octave of a 73 note Melodia rank from Austin opus 1148 which was in Seattle. They are unused in my installation since the rank is straight. The top octave is open metal. While the rest of the rank was open wood. They are moderately scaled and a little brighter tone for a flute. They are in nearly mint condition. The original pressure was seven inches, although they will speak fine on five.

Six by nine speakers located in the wooden base. Each speaker has an impedance of eight ohms and the four of them are wired in series/parallel so the impedance of each pipe is eight ohms. The tone is produced in a common manner, but the only way for the tone to be heard is through the pipes, each of which is permanently tuned to resonate at a different frequency of the musical scale. The column of air in each pipe acts as a cushion on the tone and has to be put in motion before the sound can escape resulting in the volume building up gradually before the tone blossoms out the top of the pipe in all directions. Secondly. The metal walls of the pipes, which ... moreare tuned to the frequencies being played, will begin to resonate. Then the pipes which are tuned to the harmonics of the pipes being played will also resonate. The result of all this resonating and pneumatic action within the pipes is a wall of sound totally lacking in the undesirable beam effect produced by ordinary cone speakers alone. When the signal ends, the column of air within the pipes does not come to rest immediately, allowing the tone to linger for an instant before dying away completely. But I have no way to tell, so I listed them for parts or not working. The longest one measures approx. 17 3/4 inches long and the shortest is 11 1/2 inches long.
