Approx 3" from mouth to tail, approx 1-3/4" from front to back feet, approx 1-1/4" from front to front foot and back to back foot. The eyes look hand painted white. There are some signs of age/use/wear. The elephant has one tusk missing as shown in pictures. The tusk could be removed to match the other side but I will leave that up to buyer if so desired. Great old vintage hump back trunk in excellent original condition. It has 2 different patent dates on it. One on the center latch and another on the outside latches. It is 18 inches wide, 13 inches tall and 10 1/2 inches deep. One leather side handle is missing the metal piece that goes on the end(see picture) and someone has replaced 2 screws on one of the back hinges.

Probably was stained years ago but with no protective finish(polyurathane) Solid wood and is in very nice condition. It has lots of character and the finishing touches are very nice. Black hinges and has a wood handle piece to open lid. What I call a slat top which is strips of wood that run horizontal to form the dome(hump chest) and is a light to medium stain. Measures 23" wide and depth is 12 1/2" Height is 14 1/2" tall to top of dome. Has tray which sets on rails inside for miscellaneous items. Antique? Vintage? Black forest? Large Carved Wood Trunk Chest
Not sure of age or origin of this truck. But looks too be pretty old. Close look at carvings and some imperfections can bee seen, so i believe hand carved. Looks too have been painted an off white and then a dark stain over it in the past. Quite a few nicks and scuffs reveal this history of paint and stain. Back has a split and a piece missing from a previous repair. Some screws on the hinges look too be old flat heads and some are newer phillips heads. Has oblong round ball legs. Lid does not completely close, has a quarter inch gap in front, maybe from warping from age. Inside has removable tray insert. Wood has a strong, but pleasant smell almost like cedar, but not sure what type of wood it is. Trunk measures 30 inches wide, 18 1/2 inches tall, 16 inches deep. Please study pics too see imperfections in the piece. Could use a good cleaning ... moreand some stain touch ups. Trunk is very heavy and large, and i will keep at local pick up. Vintage Carved Wood Doll Trunk or Chest, possibly Salesmans Sample
This beautiful trunk is 5" tall. 7 1/2" wide and 3 3/4" deep. It opens from the top. As a trunk, the carved doors on the front are for show only and don't open. Possibly a salesman's sample. It's a walnut color. But I think the wood is mahogany. There is a small chip on the tip of one of the front feet. I see no marks to indicate who made it or where it came from. Vintage Dark Wood Painted Rasied Relief Asian Design Wooden Box Chest Trunk
Very nice vintage painted raised relief Asian design wood chest. It measures approx. 18" long by 10" wide x 10" deep and weighs over 8 lbs. It has a crack on the lid that goes all the way across and has been repaired with a leather type tape. There is also a crack on the bottom of the chest. But neither of these affect the stability of the chest. There are chips out of the wood on the front where the raised relief is. The hardware may have been replaced at one time, but I'm not positive of that. It does show wear, but overall a great solid chest. I purchased this item at an estate sale and have tried to describe it as best I can. Vintage redwood mini chest in good pre owned condition. There are some tiny paint splatter specks on it and the finish is crackling. No other damage. It is 3 1/4" tall, 5 1/4" long and 3" wide.
