As well as a piece that sits in the bottom drawer(see pictured photo) There is also a piece thats used to secure the hangers farther back that is pictured. The hinges are all working however need to be cleaned. The locks appear in very good condition. No keys. These trunks were the very best. Right at the top with Louis Vuitton, Goyard, M. M. Secor, etc. This trunk was one of Hartmann's top models of the time, costing close to $200.that's over $2500 in today's market. Only a well-to-do gentleman or lady would have owned something this expensive and of this quality. This particular trunk is a cushion-top model, and is also gibraltarized, patentened process in order to make the trunk frame very strong. This is all steel-frame construction. The trunk features a velvet cushioned top to protect clothing during travel. All original"unbreakable hangers" a garment bag for clothing worn, all hand riveted, and featered a patented locking mechanism that actually hooks so your trunk would never open in travel. From the hangers to the cloth lining, and cloth ties, this was made for an entire wardrobe to moved about without putting a wrinkle in any of your items. This item is a very nice rare vintage wooden flattop steamer half trunk. It measures 24" x 18" x 20. Trunk companies made these small trunks as samples to display the workmanship and the hardware that could be used on the larger trunks. These are very rare. We have been restoring trunks for 17 years and this is only the 4th one we have seen. It does have some small cracks on the top. It has the new leather handles. The latches are in good working order which close securely. It has very heavy hardware with 3 hinges across the back. Red trunk box was re-glued. Probably by my father, back in the day. Glue residue is visible inside the trunk, on the underside and a small spot on the blue fender. VINTAGE STEAMER TRUNK - CIRCA 1920'S - 1930'S - WONDEROBE SEWARD
This is a upright Steamer Trunk by"Seward Trunk and Bag Company" The plaque says"Wonderrobe" Estimated that it was made during the 1920"s or 1930's. The original trunk color was olive green but has changed over the years to a soft brown. It has all of its accessories including the hat form that snaps in and out to hold a fashion hat in place which was a bonus during it's day. There are six hanging racks. Two for dresses. Two for coats and two for slacks. They are held in place by a stabilizer bar. The bottom of the left side of the trunk has a pop out drawer. The top drawer is sectioned and has the lock but no key. The top of the trunk lifts to allow easy access to the racks. See photo#5. Two of the drawers have the tie down straps to hold clothing in place. The lock is missing as well as the leather handle. ... moreAll of the metal(brass? edges are in excellent shape. No dents. No missing bullets and it has all of its corner pieces. Most of these trunks are missing the leather handle but I do have the handle which is not attached. All of the hardware is in good condition not rusted or broken. The main lock is missing. The only damage is to the top which is cracked mostly on the edge which lifts up. see photo#8) The fabric on the drawers shows some wear but just to the right edges. See photo#1. For your information I received this trunk from the woman we bought our first house from 38 years ago. She told us that her husband traveled across the ocean with all his belongings in this trunk. He came over to the US to marry her. They lived in the house for about 50 years so this trunk is at least 88 years old with a history. Vintage Military Officer's Footlocker/Steamer Trunk
This is a wonderful old steamer trunk/footlocker. I found it at an estate sale where there was a bunch of WWII memorabilia. However, the sale was run by an outside agent who knew little about the items so I was not able to learn much about the age or history of this item. It would make a nice coffee table with lots of storage room inside. It measures 31" X 16" X 13" and is constructed of wood and wrapped in thin. Dark green painted metal with brass-tone hardware/corner guards. From what information I have been able to gather, the date and manufacturer information are beneath the printed paper lining the inside of the trunk but I will not pull it up to check as it is original to the trunk. This item is used. The exterior has a nice patina of travel scuffs. Scratches and light dings but is still a sturdy piece with no structural ... moreissues. Both leather strap handles are intact and in good condition(all of the ones I found online were missing one, if not both, of the strap handles.The two outer latches work properly and keep the lid secure. Some of the hardware have rust spots. The interior paper has become brittle and is peeling in a few spots and there are some light stains here and there. There does appear to be some corrosion stains where the paper touches/touched the metal detailing. As for the lock, I do not know if it works. I do not have a key so I don't want to chance having to break the lock. I have more detailed pictures. If you would like to see them send me a message. 19th Century Golf Painting on Vintage Wooden Storage Trunk
This is a rather unique vintage wooden storage trunk that has been painted with a vintage 19th century golf scene of two well dressed gentlemen engaged in the“olde” sport of golf. The box with a dome lid measures approximately 20 X 14 X 18 and is secured with a clasp closure on front and carried using a set of handles on the side. The box is lined in brown suede on the inside. The box originates from an area near Augusta. Georgia, home of the Masters tournament that was co-founded in 1934 by legendary golfer Robert Jones, a course of his design. The potential historical significance of the box is only outweighed by the attractive addition it makes displayed with any vintage golf collection.

Offered is an early 1900 Trunk which measurers 13 inches high. 36 inches wide and 22 inches deep. It has a center lock labeled"Eagle Lock Co. 178, Terryville, Conn. U.S. which is slightly bent. No key. There are two leather straps originally with the trunk which are not complete. The side handle leather grips are in good condition. The wood slats appear to be oak type of wood, but not positive. The interior is original with no restoration, lid lock needs reattachment, and the truck interior is wooden construction with an extra metal base evident from the outside base. There is one dent in the metal base, which is black color in the photos. The trunk is wrapped in oil cloth or a canvas type of material, with metal corners and metal edges. One metal trim edge on the back of the trunk, near its base, is loose. Original labels on the side ... moreof the trunk and a partial label is on the top. We believe this is from the late 1800's to early 1900's but are unsure of the actual age. There is some very nice ornate designs on the riveted corners and the black metal on the tops and sides. These 3 marble white faux leather on wood Samsonite Streamlite suitcases and trunk are in great shape from the 1950's and 1960’s! RARE TRUNK! These trunks are very hard to find. THrough research I have found that a lot of these were just made for display and very few were made. The largest trunk measures roughly 30L" x 16W" x 12.5H” The carry-on/wardrobe measures roughly 21L" x 9W" x 19H” The smaller train/make-up case measures close to 13L" x 8.5W" x 9H" You can see from the pics the color of the exterior and interiors as well as the various pouches and straps. These are all Samsonite and there is a key for the entire set. These cases could be used for a number of things besides luggage. A very popular use is for camera equipment or speciality tools. By installing foam packaging and cutting it to fit ... moreyour camera or tools is a stylish and less expensive way to protect and transport. These type of cases can also be used for decor such as end tables. Shipping includes insurance and a delivery confirmation. Delivery confirmation is not a tracking number. It is there to prove delivery. I usually ship suitcases by wrapping in shipping paper and taping. This cuts costs by not using boxes. These cases are sold as is. Vintage T47 Long Lock Steamer Trunk - Lots Of Charachter!!
You are bidding on a vintage. Model T47 Long Lock Co. Steamer Trunk in Black and Chrome. Dimensions 36" X 19.5" X 13.5" Trunk is in good shape for it's age. There are some rust spots on the hardware and a few dings in the body. Lock is functional but we do not have the key. They are readily available on Ebay though. Please see photos for specific condition. Offerin local pickup in Cincinnati due to size. Vintage Antique Louis Vuitton Trunk 1910 Calfskin Special Order Leather France
Very nice. Solid Louis Vuitton calfskin trunk dating from between 1909 and 1915. Excellent patina to the leather, with no major spots- just an overall golden honey aging. It was found in a well-kept old barn, and all I've done is dust it off- I'll let you condition and polish it how you see fit. The trunk is an elegant size measuring 25" wide, 11"high, and 13" deep. The brass hardware is in excellent condition. The lock inscribed'BTE S.G.D.G. PATENT, LOUIS VUITTON, 1. RUE SCRIBE PARIS, LONDON 149. NEW BOND STREET, MADE IN FRANCE' and numbered 028224. Louis Vuitton is stamped on the larger bolts and LV on the two outer latches. The beautiful label has the first 4 shops' addresses, dating it to post-Lille(1909) and pre-Champs-Elysees(1915) The two sides are embossed with the owner's letters"McL" ... moreThe calfskin trunks are rare because they were more expensive, and all special orders, meaning they didn't make them and have them hanging around the shop- they were custom made, so the initials were embossed on the leather before it was made, as it would be impossible after, unlike painted initials. The interior is lined with ivory linen, with fittings for one removable tray. Interior stamped with number 168673. There are overall scrapes, and chipping to the top edges, where some leather has worn away. The handle looks to be not original- my guess is the original one wore off and this one fit, so it was strapped on. This was likely a very prized trunk from the early days of the golden age of travel. Perfect for the discerning decorator. Very solid and the lid operates smoothly, and there are no problems with hardware- although I've never fully pressed in the center lock clasp for fear it would stay locked. VINTAGE polished BRASS GOLD steamer TRUNK CHEST cedar lined COFFEE TABLE storage
This is a fantastic vintage cedar-lined brass trunk with wooden feet. It stands 18" high. Measurements of the trunk without feet are 30.5" x 16" x 16" The lock is no longer operational and stays closed with a magnet for convenience of use. It is heavy. Strong, sturdy and very usable. This is in used-vintage condition. The brass shows wear and use with scratches and tiny dings. Mostly concentrated on the top. The top looks to have been heavily used, but this adds to its vintage charm. The lock, metal handles and wooden feet also show wear. Overall, this is a great, hard to find vintage piece! One side of Metal piece on top has lifted about 1/4" needs to have a small nail put in or rivet. Has been Painted Blue over the Metal/ Wood and Leather Handles. There is one snap closer Broke on right side. The Box that sits on top top is in good shape except has cracks in the paper liner and one stain. The paper liner inside of trunk is cracked around the edges and the wood ledge where top box sits paper is cracked. You have to Look at the Pictures. This was a Estate Auction Finding. Vintage steamet trunk in good conditioin solid and straight with no odor and is missing one handle on one side. No keys for locks but opens without a problem.Trunk is wood covered in canvas with metal strapping. At some time trunk was painted and has cracking all over. Measures 32"w x 20"d x 29"h.
