It is a wood structure trunk and frame with smooth me tal(black) and woven pattern metal riveted overlays with beautiful beading to ta ck in metals and curved and straight gorg eousl y grained wood slat s. Here's what I stated about it s condition: Metal overlay surfaces have been repainted and restored. Some scratches and scuffs marks on beautifully grained wood slats. Leather handle missing on left side. Flip up side locking latches both flip up into locking position. But only one catches to keep it lock closed and the other is missing its catch. Center locking latching closes in position but does not lock and there is no key. Interior lining shows foxing and staining and has some t ares due to great age. But smells clean with nice scent like cedar inside. Truly a rare beauty of extra large size that has great looks and craftsmanship on evident in these earlier era pieces of exceptional beauty. Old advertisements for this ... moretrunk can be found from the 1918s! This trunk is close to 100 years old! The hinges on the lid are still in good condition and workable. The flip-down locks on the front are stiff but open and close well. The center lock no longer works- looks like someone had to"break and enter" as it is slightly bent and the lock mechanism is missing. There are heavy leather handles on the side that are still in very good condition. Above these handles are eye hooks to attach and hold the trunk still. There are decorative rivets holding the steel in place on all the edges. It looks like a few of them have been replaced over the years. All the outside hardware has rust on it. The black outside material is canvas-leather like. Not sure what it is but there are some rips and showing underneath is wood.There are small holes on the sides and bottom. Maybe this was used for bootlegging at one time? It looks like the bottom could have been nailed down to something as there are small nails that stick up on the inside. Neat old black and white wallpaper type material on the inside of the lid and in the three cubby-holes on the right side. Very spacious measuring approx. 29" long x 15" high. The largest space on the inside measures 24" wide x 11" Each of the cubbyhole spaces measures approx. 4" x 3 1/4 to 3 3/4" with the center space being the smallest. The inside is lined in a canvas type material. I will say there is a very strong mildew smell on the inside. It is dirty inside too- this is definately in need of some TLC! It looks like someone added leather and snaps to the inside of the lid to hold things.the leather is light colored and newer looking. One of these straps is broken. The original leather strap that holds the lid open is scuffed and worn but still works for the purpose. Overall this is a nice vintage trunk with a condition commensurat

Vintage Industrial Metal Trunk Chest Box Storage Locker Antique
This is a great solid steel chest. It is 42"long. 21" wide and 18" deep. It has 6 handles so it can be lifted from any side. It is thoroughly weathered and has no outer finish left. I took a wire wheel to it to get all the loose rust and debris off. This is going to be a great coffee table for somebody. There are two hinged front clasps, and a snap front"lock" closure. There is no key. The Handle is plastic. There are silver metal reinforced corners and trim. The inside has a covering similar to wall paper. You can see that behind the outer metal casing, there is wood underneath as the base. Very sturdy piece. PATTERN: White with Red Stripes and Silver Metal ... moreTrim CONDITION: Very Good used condition. Notes: The inside is very clean- very minimal wear to the surface. NO Cuts. Tears or Stains. The outside has some minor scuffs/ scratches to the surface- great shape for its age. There is some discoloration on the bottom- it looks like it sat on something and absorbed the color from it(see pictures 9& 10) NO Rust or Corrosion. The front lock clasp is hard to release sometimes. There are two lower prongs that do not fit well into their holes- this can be fixed, but I will leave it up to the new owner. 2 Vintage Small Metal Drawer Pulls Trunk Handles Hardware Chrom Oval Plate
Here are two small. Metal pulls. These appear to be made from stamped steel. They have oval shaped backplates and trapezoid shaped pulls. The backplate measures about 2 9/16" long and 1 1/8" tall. Get these for your project! These are used. The backplates are bent and will need shaping/straightening. These do not include mounting hardware. They have scratches. Wear and light rust. Vintage Small Metal Covered Steamer Trunk Chest w/ vtg TRAVEL STICKERS - unique!
Unique small travel chest. Not sure of the history of this but it is certainly a unique piece! It measures 18x10x10.5" Has a metal skin over wood construction. Metal corner guards protect it from drops and damage. It has some age to it and shows character! It has old travel stickers on it like they used to plaster on luggage back in the day. It has a Bassett lock that is locked. I dont have the key. It does not feel like anything is inside. Feels empty. I am leaving the lock intact versus breaking it open. If you are using it for display the lock does not matter anyway. Part of the fun might be sourcing a key and opening it up! The other two latches operate fine. Looks like it had two leather strap handles that are missing. A top edge guard is also missing. Genuine original. Antique Wooden& Metal Chest/ Trunk Est. circa mid-1800's Size: 21.5" long x 15" wide x 14.25" high This chest is well worn. But it looks great! The metal banks and plates have a nice rusted surface patina; the wood is in good shape but with a complimentary aged surfaces. The canvas has faded and has been torn& patched in places. The hasp for the locking mechanism is missing, and someone added some wooden"feet" to it which can be easily detached by removing the screws. Please scroll down under this description for additional views. Small cube-shaped trunk. 12" high, 13" across the lid, 12" front to back. Made of plywood with silver colored metal strapping on all edges, strap style hinges, handles on the sides and two closures on the front. I am not sure about those two metal strap pieces mounted vertically on the front unless this was a means secure the trunk onto a vehicle. Inside is painted a dark Army green and the outside is painted flat black. This would be fun to repaint or even to wallpaper and clean up the metal hardware. It's a nice size to use in your home- you can keep any number of things inside and it's a nice accent as a table, footstool or extra seating. It is really solidly made and weighs about 13 pounds. This vintage doll trunk is 12" high. 6" wide, and 6" deep. It is made of wood covered with paper. The outside paper has scratches. Stains and tears. A leather handle is on top and decals decorate the outside. Inside paper is good. But has some stains. There is a drawer in the compartment above the clothes hook. A tie is on the opposite side. This listing is for a metal hanger. This is a great very well designed hanger that may date from the 1920s-40s. It has marked Hutchins Manufacturing Buffalo New York. It has a very simple efficient design with a metal clasp on the end which closes the hanger tight possibly on the end of pants to hang them straight upside down. In my research I have not been able to find anything similar so my best guess is that it was a travel accessory or possibly for a trunk. The hanger is 10 inch long and 1 inch wide with the hanger part folded down. Condition as per pictures. This would make an excellent addition to any collection.
