Old advertisements for this ... moretrunk can be found from the 1918s! This trunk is close to 100 years old! The hinges on the lid are still in good condition and workable. The flip-down locks on the front are stiff but open and close well. The center lock no longer works- looks like someone had to"break and enter" as it is slightly bent and the lock mechanism is missing. There are heavy leather handles on the side that are still in very good condition. Above these handles are eye hooks to attach and hold the trunk still. There are decorative rivets holding the steel in place on all the edges. It looks like a few of them have been replaced over the years. All the outside hardware has rust on it. The black outside material is canvas-leather like. Not sure what it is but there are some rips and showing underneath is wood.There are small holes on the sides and bottom. Maybe this was used for bootlegging at one time? It looks like the bottom could have been nailed down to something as there are small nails that stick up on the inside. Neat old black and white wallpaper type material on the inside of the lid and in the three cubby-holes on the right side. Very spacious measuring approx. 29" long x 15" high. The largest space on the inside measures 24" wide x 11" Each of the cubbyhole spaces measures approx. 4" x 3 1/4 to 3 3/4" with the center space being the smallest. The inside is lined in a canvas type material. I will say there is a very strong mildew smell on the inside. It is dirty inside too- this is definately in need of some TLC! It looks like someone added leather and snaps to the inside of the lid to hold things.the leather is light colored and newer looking. One of these straps is broken. The original leather strap that holds the lid open is scuffed and worn but still works for the purpose. Overall this is a nice vintage trunk with a condition commensurat

Similar ones seem to be from the late 1800's but this is unique in the fact that it is covered in metal with wood trim. It has a flat top. Removable tray and wheels that I placed coasters over. They are easily removed. It smells like a cedar lined trunk. I do not have the key for the center lock but have seen them offered on eBay. Local pick up free of charge. 34.25"x19"x22" Dimentions.

Welcome to my ebay store! this awesome piece came from an estate sale of an elderly local antiques collector. I purchase most of her dolls and doll items. This is an awesome unusual definitely unique steamer trunk most likely for a girl to keep her doll clothes in. There is an upper wood tray covered in paper that sits on an inner ledge. The inside of lid is lined with a nice royal blue paper. It definitely has a bit of that musty antique smell that says this piece is old. The Lock has the words Eagle Lock Terryville CT which definitely shows the age and quality of the piece and US made. The trunk is made from wood. With metal strapping, nice metal corner hardware and worn leather straps. The trimming is in Faux grained metal in shades of red and yellow. I haven't seen a trunk like this one online or on ebay. Vintage 1950s Cass Toys Metal Doll Trunk DETAILS. This is a vintage doll trunk by Cass toys from the 1950s. It is 14" long. 7” wide, and 7.5" deep. The aqua blue metal case has black edges and gold tone metal clamps and closure, and a clear plastic handle attached to the top end. The inside is lined with white/red print paper. It has one drawer with small knob handle, and a metal rod attached at the top above the drawer for hanging up doll clothes. Red Metal doll case trunk vintage. Worcester Massachusetts
This red metal doll case is in excellent condition. It has shiny brass colored hinges. Latch& corner braces. There are some scratches& a few dents on the outside& some sort of stains on the inside paper lining. Most dents are on one side, the back panel. All the hinges, braces& nails are tight& free of rust. I do not know what decade the case is from but based on some research I'm pretty sure its 1950's. When latched shut. The case measures approximately 16" tall x 8.25" wide x 7.5" deep. The interior of the left compartment is divided lengthwise. The top hanging section measures about 13-1/8" tall x 7-1/8" wide x 3-5/8" A metal loop for doll hangers is fixed to the top. The left compartment also has a removable accessory drawer on the bottom that measures about 7-1/8" wide x ... more2" tall x 3-1/2" deep. The right compartment is 15.25" tall. It is full size with the original ribbon for securing the doll. Some stains on the paper liner. Looks like adhesive stains but I can't be certain. It is not sticky to the touch. Very faint odor in the case but it is not a musty or mildew smell. Odor is not strong but I feel it should be noted. The handle on top is white plastic& is still securely fastened. The metal latch on the side has these words imprinted: Worcester T&S Rochdale Massachusetts.

Very old all wood 1942 vintage trunk. It has lost most of the paint and someone has put vintage superheroes stickers all over it many. Many years ago. All the hardware is metal including the latches, corners and all the ends. One corner piece is missing. The handles on the sides are wood. All the hinges and latches work. Inside lid reads Shwyder Bros Inc 1942. If you look closely at the pictures of the lid you can see there is also some stencil letter writing. Red Barbie Case You are looking at a gently used red Worcester Rochdale Mass Barbie or doll storage case. This case is in excellent condition with moderate signs of wear. There are some minor scuffs and scratches. But no big or deep ones. One side has a longer, not very noticeable dent. The latches and hinges work great. The handle is still securely on with no issues. There are pretty brass hinges, lock and corner braces on all sides. The pink inside is in great condition with no stains or rips. I am not sure when this box dates back to. The chest is rusty on the surface. But seems to be solid. It is lined on the inside with paper. The lock on the outside has the word Yale on it. Vintage miniature lead metal black elephant on base-Trunk up-Unusual
This little elephant is lead and heavy. Is 1" high to his back and 1-1/2" to his upturned trunk(good luck) He is standing on a large daisy flower. He has been around in my family for years but I have no idea whether he was part of something else or just stands around on the flower all day. He was painted at one time. He has crossed tusks which look like one conjoined tusk in the pictures. He has a few tiny bits of paint missing but he is nicely formed and his tail curves around his back legs. Inside is very clean and nice with no odors, rips or tears, I peeked in before I closed the lid. Would be a nice trunk for someone that is familiar with locks and could open it. Very rare military Naval Officers metal trunk chest. Believed late 19th or turn of century. Strong steel construction can carry a large weight. Handles to each side and brass hasp to lock and original brass name plate engraved J B Hewitt R.N. the original owners name bolted through to top. Fair Condition. Vintage Patina. Surfacewear and aged bending. The lid opens and closes fine although fibre gasket has perished away in the main so no longer watertight. Handles and hinges in good order. No key but hasp can be locked with padlock. This trunk has been in my family for many years in use as a garage tool box and never restored. The original owner J.B.Hewitt John Benjamin Hewitt of the Royal Navy but fairly certain it was Officer JB Hewitt who gets the Africa medal as he was in the Boer war as an engineer lieutenant aboard HMS Highflyer. And ... moreis mentioned in dispatches as an engineering commander, later he received the victory medal in the first world war, he appears in the retired lists 1922 to 1944(when he must have died) as an engineering captain. ANTIQUE VINTAGE CARPENTER SEAMAN TRUNK METAL WOODEN TOOL CHEST STORAGE BOX
This is a heavy duty gauge steel trunk with an all metal body including the metal bottom and with the wooden inside. It measures approximately 32" x 8" x 10 1/4" tall and that's not measuring the handles. It was very well built it weights about 18 lbs and 10 oz. There are no markings on it who made it. I don't know the age of it. If any one who knows about these can share more info with me about this item, I would greatly appreciate it. Black paint is chippy with some rust showing through especially on the bottom but there seem to be no holes and etc. It can be used for different things including to store carpenter tools as can be seen on pics. Its great for storing hand made saws. hand made saws in the pictures are not included in this auction) Thanks for looking.

Vintage 1969 "The World Of Barbie" Metal Doll Trunk by Mattel
Vintage Barbie Doll Trunk made in 1969 by Mattel. Inc. This vintage trunk appears to be rare since I could find similar metal doll trunks online but not this exact one. The trunk measures 14" high, 11.5" wide, and 7.25" deep and is in very good condition. Some cleaning will need to be done. There are a few light surface scratches but these are almost negligible The front and back are adorned with a red, green, and blue psychedelic flower design surrounding images of Barbie and her friends. The inside has a small plastic cabinet, a clothes line and a hanger. This is a wonderful addition to any Barbie collection.
