I am not positive of the boxes origin but I believe this is Folk Art. There ... moreare hand painted tulips on the edges and hand painted white flowers used in early American art. The measurements are 17 inches wide or long. 9 1/2 inches in height, and 7 1/2 inches deep. The chest/ Box weighs 11 pounds. It does have wear which is to be expected for it's age. The paint on the flowers have faded in some places, there are a few cracks on the wood, one is on the bottom(does not go all the way through, and one is on the inside of the lid. Wood shrinks with age and cracks are normal. There are a few places where wood has chipped off(one on the foot) the lock is missing and there is a heavy patina especially the places that would get the most use(by the handles. The front side has a darker patina(see 2nd picture) than the back side, it was probably sitting up against a wall and was covered on the top. The feet did have felt pads at one time. The rivets(or nails) are old type nails. It is made very well, it is very heavy and sturdy and it closes fine. It is a very beautiful piece whatever its origin is and the paint job is intricate and looks like it was very time consuming. Please email with any questions I will be glad to help. Antique or vintage black trunk chest suitcase Shwayer (predecessor to Samsonite)
Vintage travel trunk by Shwayder Trunk Co. Denver. Black with three latches(no key) and two straps. Kind of rough shape. One side is kind of is pushed in or dented but there's no actual tear or breakage. There are also some rough edges and nics(see images) The interior is in pretty good condition. Shwayder made these in the early part of the 20th century. The company became Samsonite in the 1940s. This chest measures 26" long x 13" wide x 8" deep. Shipping is $20 to 48 states. It says that there were 40 metal packs inside, each 1/2 pound. The inside label is in very nice condition, with no damage or stains. The metal lining in the chest is likely to keep the contents in an air tight environment. The exterior of the chest shows a lot of age wear, but the chest is tight and strong. There is a sliding wood compartment in the top of each open side box with a drawer underneath. The mirror slides out. The chest weighs 13 1/4 lbs without packing. The chest closed is 12 3/4" x 10 3/8" x 7 7/8" high. When open with the mirror is 17 1/2" high x 23 1/4" with side boxes open. Mirror with frame is 10 5/8" x 7 3/4" wide. For your consideration a wall or table 3 drawer chest or cabinet. I purchased this at an antique mall to use with a wall grouping that I had. It ended up being a little too big for the grouping and I ended up finding a smaller one so.I am listing. I love the piece but cannot find a spot for it in my home. I really don't know if this is old or not. It has been painted and I can tell that it is metal. The drawers open although the second drawer sticks a little. You could put things in the drawers for display or not. You can hang on the wall(there is a hole at top for hanging) or set on a table or whatever. If you decorate with a primitive decor then you could sand it a little for the antique look. This cabinet measures 12" wide x 15 1/2" high x 3" deep. Cabinet is very solid with two top cabinet doors and two pull drawers at the bottom. I love the design of the two top cabinet doors. MINIATURE CEDAR CHEST I purchased this hand-made cedar chest from an antique store in the 80's. I don't know exactly how old it is but it could be from the 50's. If you notice on the inside. It isn't perfect but it sure does look nice on a desk or a shelf. If has solid copper strips on the top and on the front as well as a copper design that looks like a fake keyhole. Even the back hinges are made of copper. It has little handles on the sides. Measurements: L: 10 3/4" The lid is 11 1/2" long from end to end H: 5 1/8" W: 6 3/8"

This is a vintage Lane cedar chest that has a light walnut finish. I am selling it in"as found condtion" There are 2 dings in the top and some minor scaring. Both can be easily repaired. The chest has the original warrenty tag and key envelope tacked to the inside of the lid. The key is also with the envelope. The interior is super clean. The chest measures 44" wide. 17" deep, and 18 1/2" tall. There are bracket feet at the bottom and decorative chippendale pulls on the front along with a line of small round knobs. Here we have today is something really unique. A great estate find. Here we have a handmade toy storage piece in the shape of an old truck from the 1950's-1960's. This great piece is very special, it is one piece, it is 52 1/2" long, the cab is 16" long, it is 28" tall and 17" wide. Truck has wheels on the bottom for easy moving, and as you will see from the photo, they are old. Everything is nice and tight, piece shows average wear, tear, bumps and scrapes for it's age. This would make a great gift for that special someone for the holidays! I could not find and makers marks so I do not know who made this wonderful item.
