This is in excellent condition with no veneer loss. The wood is a walnut veneer and has a burled walnut inlay on front. There is a lock on this but I do not have a key. The cedar inside is like new and still has the cedar smell. The tray inside is in nice condition with purple felt(felt probably needs to be cleaned) This is 4' long and 19" tall. I'm not sure of the age- the company closed over 50 years ago. Since this is so large, I will only offer local pickup in Alexandria, Indiana.

But overall very good to excellent. No water stains. There is some minor shrinkage to the floating panels(top and sides) that seems to self adjust with more humidity as the weather changes. Awesome vintage minature maybe a salesman sample from back in the day. Companies would give these away to seniors in high school hoping the parents would by a larger version. Made of Cedar condition is good NOTHING broken chipped or cracked. The mirror is removable. It measures 12 inches long 4 inches deep and it is 10 inches tall. Note the wonderful little brass drawer pulls. Drawers slide in and out with ease, nothing warped. There are a couple of slight scratches, with a bees wax rub you would never notice them.

I received one when I graduated back in the 1960's. This is an unusual one that you hardly ever see. The basketball court is painted on the lid in black, green, and brown. This item is a vintage carved cedar wood chest-type box with a floral design and ridges on the ends. I think it is machine carved. It is too perfect to be hand-carved. I believe. It is very beautiful. It has dove-tailed corners and metal hinges and a fixture for a padlock. On the top in the center of the box is a home scene. The finish on the outside is varnished, but the inside is unfinished. There is a mirror on the inside lid with a border of roses, leaves, and vines in gold. It is 10-1/2" long by 6" wide, by 4" deep. This classic Chest is in good original condition. And it has a medium/dark red/brown stain finish color on the outside. See pictures. This gorgeous Cedar Chest has interes ting steel/m etal hi nges and riveting on the outside. And it has a s teel/metal lock on the front, see pictures. This Chest is finished all the way around. See pictures, so it can be displayed in the center of the room. This Chest is secure and sturdy with some small scratches here and there proper with its age and its wear& tear. See pictures. VINTAGE polished BRASS GOLD steamer TRUNK CHEST cedar lined COFFEE TABLE storage
This is a fantastic vintage cedar-lined brass trunk with wooden feet. It stands 18" high. Measurements of the trunk without feet are 30.5" x 16" x 16" The lock is no longer operational and stays closed with a magnet for convenience of use. It is heavy. Strong, sturdy and very usable. This is in used-vintage condition. The brass shows wear and use with scratches and tiny dings. Mostly concentrated on the top. The top looks to have been heavily used, but this adds to its vintage charm. The lock, metal handles and wooden feet also show wear. Overall, this is a great, hard to find vintage piece!
