I recently discovered this wardrobe trunk buried in the rafters in the attic of a local farm house estate in a in nearby town. It stopped me dead in tracks and I had to literally pick my jaw up off the floor! There was no way I was leaving without this trunk. And lucky for me I had hubby to carry it out of the attic and down 3 flits of stairs! And now for the decription… This is a nice authentic period Wardrobe steamer trunk. It is signed on the exterior by the maker Oshkosh Trunk Company. I am unsure of the exact age. But it was clearly left where I had found it for a very very long time. If I had to guestimate I would say it is likely from the early 20 th century. It measures 40 x 22 x 20 inches and weighs 75 pounds respectfully. The exterior is covered with what appears to be a volcanized material with dozens of original brass. Nails, knobs Hinges, Lock and hardware. The lock comes with key and functions as designed. This trunk measures approximately 22" ... morelong X 14" wide X 15 1/2" high and it has two hinges in back that hold the lid securely to the base. There used to be sturdy leather handles on each side of the trunk but they are no longer intact, these can be purchased inexpensively on-line and they're fairly easy to replace. The corner protectors and hardware appear to be brass plated steel. There are two hasp type closures, one on each side of the lock and the lock needs to be bent just a little to close it securely. We tried the key and the locking mechanism seems to work properly but we didn't want to damage anything so it will arrive open with the key tucked in an envelope safely inside. The inside of the trunk is wood and there should be wood beneath the black material covering the outside(it is non-magnetic and we don't think it's metal) This little trunk is in very good condition and once it's restored it should be a beauty- perfect for your antique doll collection or as a gift for a very special grandchild. You see the condition, she definitely has character. The bare wood was once covered with a heavy type decorative paper, most of that is gone but you see some remnants of that in places. The original label was found in the trunk. It belonged to a gentleman in Escanaba Michigan. Maybe you can reincorporate the label back into a repurpose project(maybe lacqure it onto the top side? There is leather and metal construction incorporated into this little trunk. The leather handle is broken and the leather straps are gone with just some of their remnants being in place. EARLY ANTIQUE HAND FORGED IRON BLACKSMITHS TRUNK BLANKET CHEST LOCK AND HANDLES
This auction is for some early hand forged hardware from a chest or trunk. The lock is missing the sliding bar and one of the handles needs the ends hammered over as the original ends broke off that hold the back plate on. The lock is very neat in design and a good blacksmith could probably repair them.The lock measures 7" long x 4 1/8" wide and overall 2" thick. The handles are 6 3/4" long x 2 1/4" wide. Back plates are 3 3/4" long x 1 3/4" wide. Payment is expected within three days via PayPal. We are happy to combine shipping. We are easy to work with. Vintage Flat-top Small 20" Steamer Storage Trunk Chest Luggage Leather Handles
This listing is for a rare small vintage flat-top storage/travel trunk. The inside has been clear-coated to seal it and it has no strong or offensive odors. The trunk measures about 11-1/2" tall. 19-3/4" wide and 12" deep. It is still strong and sound, but does show damage from water, including staining. The outside has some scratches and tears from use over the years, including a small one on the bottom corner where the wood is exposed. The outer latches work as they should and sufficiently hold the trunk shut. The center latch closes but does not stay shut. We do not have the key to the lock. The leather handles seem to be in great shape. Cosmetically it has a nice rustic look and is a nice small size for storage or as a decorative piece. Vintage Riveted Aluminum Aviator Foot Locker/Trunk w/ Leather handles, Japan
Item pictured is the actual item offered. 30 1/2" long. 17" wide, 13 1/2" high. Plate rivited below latch on front says"K K YOSHIDA SEISAKUSHO- JAPAN" I'm not sure how old it is because my internet research conflicted. I found sources that called it a Japanese WW2 item and others that called it a U.S. military item(made in Japan) for use during Korea and Vietnam conflicts. It shows it's age but would polish up nicely. The interior is painted green and there is some paint loss. The tray divider is missing. The leather handles are in good shape. The latches have some play in them and don't lock down tightly. About the lock/hasp: It was locked when I bought it and I successfully picked the lock and removed it. This rosemalled miniature trunk has all of it's paint and is in great condition. These were American made in the manner of the old immigrant trunks from the early to mid 1800's from Norway and Sweden. The colors are primarily red and black with green. Yellow and blue accents and yellow striping. This little trunk measures 7"Long X 4" wide X 5" Tall.

Metal latch. Keyhole. But no key is included. Poor condition. One hinge on the back is broken. And only half of it remains. Much of the leather strapping and decoration has disintegrated and become lost. Primitive nail construction. Cracks in the wood, especially the top. The newspaper the trunk is lined with it dated 1830. Ithaca. Outer dimensions: 24" long. But the handles protrude about 5/8" on each side- 13.5" wide- 10.25" tall at front& rear. Antique Primitive Wood Chest Trunk Casket Sarcophagus Coffin Box Blue Handles
Antique wood box up for auction. Everyone keeps telling me that it is a childs casket. I will let you be the judge of that. I'm going to guess this piece at the early 1900s. The top does resemble a casket. As do the handles. The handles I believe are aluminum that are flaking gold paint. They will stick out when put in that position. The corners have metal brackets. The top has a locking mechanism. The whole thing has the original blue wash type paint that has rubs here and there. There were tools in it and it has an oil stain on the inside. 2 Vintage Old Cast Iron Rustic Tool Box Drop Handles Large 4" Trunk Chest Pulls
Here is a great pair of vintage cast iron drop pulls that came off an old blanket chest from the 1800's. They are 4 inches wide and 4 inches tall. When the handle is fully extended. It sticks out approximately 2 1/8 inches. These are the early 2 piece pulls where the handle lays in the slot and the mounting plate keeps it in place when bolted. They work properly and there is no apparent damage. They look like the have the original black paint still on them. We are including the old 8 screw bolts that were with these handles. Look at the pictures and what you see is what you get. Today's hardware is not nearly as nice as the vintage hardware is. They are a nice heavy cast and should last over another hundred years or so. We can ship these free to any of the lower 48 states. I hope someone can use these for their restoration or vintage ... morehome improvement.

Pair of Hand Forged Iron Antique Handles Pulls Early Trunk Drawer
I recently acquired a small collection of 18th and 19th century hardware. And these handles were included. They are hand forged wrought iron and measure approx. 7" from end to end. The drop to the handle is approx. 1 1/2" They may have been in a collection at one time, as one has the number 648 on it in white paint. As you can see in the last photo, one of the ends is slightly bent- I have not attempted to bend it back. A great pair of early handles. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Hi. You are bidding on this vintage lot of 4 empty cases/trunks for Barbie. Midge, etc. There is a hard to find one with two different pictures on the same trunk as shown. This case has nice hardware and rivets with no rust or darkening. All are in good display condition with handles and closures present. Please use Ebay magnifier to see closer details. Insides show age and play wear such as foxing, torn/missing cardboard, missing straps, missing drawers, etc. Some of the hardware shows light rust and darkening from age. This vase has excellent gold and plenty of it Vase is in excellent condition and doesn't have any chips or cracks The scene pictures boats on the Nile with pyramids in the background. There are palms trees along the shores with lots of plants and all are meticulously outlined with gold. There is also gold applied around the top and even inside of the opening. The sun is rising from behind the sand dunes and turning the sky a reddish color. There are gulls in flight and the scene continuous even around to the back of the vase. Vase measures six inches by five inches and has the M in a wreath Nippon backstamp.
