Paint scratches, loss, dings, dents, surface rust. The cooler has 2 metal chrome side handles and a built in bottle opener. It measures 17 3/4" wide across the front, 13" front to back at the side and 15 7/8" shy just under 16" The metal handle swings well and also locks the top lid in place. The interior is galvanized and it retains it's original drain plug. The front and back read"Coca Cola trade mark in bottles" and reads"Process Refrigerator Co Loiusville, KY" on one side. Antique Haskell Bros Leather Stagecoach-Auto Travel Trunk/Coffee Table Chest&Key
This is a rare find as you don't find sole tooled leather trunks made by the Haskell Brothers Trunk Makers of Chicago very often. The original wood strips and metal"feet" are in good working order. The lock was made by Excelcior Lock and has a patent date of 1864. There is a key which"almost" turns the lock and guessing some lubrication may fix it? I have done nothing to the leather except wipe the dust off. Straps are missing and one handle and strap retainer is inside the trunk. One end is stenceled'Rochester. Minn' Neat trunk which could be used to store bedding at the foot of your bed or even a coffee table(no inside odor) If refurbished it would make a nice travel chest on the back of your vintage automobile. Quite large at approximately 30 1/2" by 17 1/2" by 18 1/2" tall and it weighs approx ... more40 pounds. P lease look closely at the pictures. Measuring approx 36ins(94cms) x 17ins(43cms) deep x 18ins(46cms) it is a traditional steamer type trunk having protective studded bands on the edges, with metal corner protectors, twin locks at the front with a central clasp. There is a leather carrying handle at either end. It is finished in a blue/black colour with an attractive patina to it. The catches work well but are a little stiff and there is no key for the locks. I nternally it has the original lchequered lining material. It is in good general condition but has a few signs of use as one might imagine. With scuffs, nicks, scratches and so on and there is a tear to the top and another smaller ... moreone, but nothing detracting and all very characterful! An old original fab steamer chest with lots of metal banding and end cap brackets. It is a original steamer chest from circa 1900's and would have been used on the ships of old Metal handles at each side. Front locks and clasps there is no longer any key for the middle lock long gone. Four hardwood slats on top with one at the front and back also. It is approx. half the height of the standard ones. So would be great for any room in the house to make a great look and not take up to much space. The chest has a nice shiny bri wax finish. Genuine antique travel trunk that has been painted in a delicate shade of duck egg blue and had the interior completely stripped of old paper to reveal the beautiful beech wood. There has been no woodworm at all. Useful inner tray and new strong. Cotton rope handles. The paint is a chalk finish and at the moment is unwaxed. I can either leave it like this or give it a coat of fine wax- whatever the buyer prefers. The wooden interior has been left natural with no stain or wax. The inner edges of the trunk are left unpainted as it would prevent it from closing well. Dimensions are: 90cm long x 51.5cm deep x 32cm high. Genuine Antique Flat Top Steamer / Travel Trunk 2 Trays Storage Chest
Free local pick-up only. From a local M id S outh E state. this Antique Flat Top Steamer/ Travel TRUNK made between 1880 and 1920. After 1920. As trunks became mass-produced they were labeled with the"makers mark" Measures 36" length x 24 1/2" height x 21" width. This is a solid piece; all metal strapping, corner bindings& hardware is intact. The wood parts of the trunks structure are time worn but intact as well. The YALE lock is intact but there is no key. The two leather side carry straps have long since torn away- easy to replace with an old leather belt. Seldom found are the 2 interior trays that appear to be original to this piece. The top tray(photos#8& 9) has finger-hole lifts at each end; measures 33 1/2 length x 18" width x 4" depth. The tray flap-over lid is secured via 3 hinges on one ... moreside. The other would have been secured via the leather snap straps but again the leather has deteriorated away. The 2nd tray(photo#10) has what appears to be some sort of textile handle-straps to lift it out with; measures 35" length x 13 3/4" width x 7 1/2" deep. The interior of the trunk measures 19 1/2" overall depth. Understand that this truck is close to 100 years old and therefore smells old as well. Both the interior and the exterior of this trunk are genuinely time worn. A beautiful old aged piece as is or restore and make it your own. Up for bid is this awesome vintage steamer trunk. This amazing wardrobe-style chest normally stands upright on rollers and is pulled by a single handle on the top. The trunk is intended to travel on its wheels. But it also sits nicely on its side if desired. Once opened. The trunk reveals four drawers of varying sizes on one side. On the other side, a drape hangs over a small closet. A covered small suitcase box holds wooden hangers to be used in the closet- it fits into place to make a storage space at the bottom of the closet area. The top of the closet opens up. See pics. The interior of the trunk is all nicely lined. Including the drawers. The interior hardware and hangers are intact. There is a lock on the top drawer, I do not see a key for it, although the exterior lock on the trunk comes with its key. Based on the information on the ... moreexterior lock hardware. It was made by the Eagle Lock Company, Terryville, Conn USA, no. 56K12. I could find no other manufacturer identifiers on the trunk. The leather handle on the trunk is stamped with the number 16. The chest is black with what I would presume to be brass hardware on the exterior. The trunk is in very nice shape. The trunk is available for pickup only in Birmingham. Just the kind for antique decor such as coffee table. End table, etc. This has an olive green canvas exterior(appears original) metal and brass hardware, with wood slat reinforcement. There are rubs and dings apparent. The locking parts of the hasp latches are missing. The locking latch is original but does not lock and there is no key. The leather straps on the ends are gone. The bottom has been reinforced on the underside with galvanized sheet metal. The wooden inside is in fairly good condition with some tears in the original paper. ANTIQUE FLAT TOP STEAMER TRUNK TRAVEL CHEST. LATE 1800S-EARLY 1900S. MADE BY THE READING STEAMER TRUNK COMPANY. READING PENNSYLVANIA. Measures 32 1/2" long. 19" wide, and 22" tall. Still has the original paper label from the READING STEAMER TRUNK COMPANY, the makers of the trunk. Includes key that operates the lock correctly. But the lock latch bows outward from body of trunk. I haven't attempted to push the lock mechanism in to see if the lock latches the entire trunk, leaving that for the new owner to decide what to do. Side latches function correctly, securing the lid. All hardware appears to be intact and complete. Leather side handle straps are intact and secure, but they do have lots of surface cracking wear. Green and Black trunk with wood details. Includes original cardboard tray insert. The right side has a cardboard ... morelid cover. But that is bent, creased, torn at hinge, basically shot. Interior paper litho has water staining inside trnnk, and inside lid. Has some general scratch wear, surface wear from use. Some dents to the metal hardware, one left corner piece is banged up. I fell in love with this piece because it is extremely unique. The auctioneer said it was an antique gentleman's travel trunk. I have never seen one like this. It has no slip top that almost looks like sand paper. It has 2 drawers and one door and even the hardware is fantastic. The trunk is in excellent shape for it age. Dimensions are 31" L) x 17" W) x 13" H) Former owner's name has been stamped on the trunk lid and on the back of the trunk. The leather handle on one side is cracked and broken. On the other side it is missing. There is no key. There is one piece of metal hardware missing above the lock. There is a removable wood insert that rests in top of trunk. Exterior shows surface marks, scuffs, aged patina from use. Metal hardware has paint wear and some areas of surface rust where paint is worn off. Bottom underside of trunk has several areas where outer surface material is cracked, see pics for condition. Here's a Very Old. Antique Miniature Arch Top Trunk for Dolls. Please, see all the pics as they are an important part of the description. This is from the 1800s and from what I can gather, through a little research, it's probably from the 1850s to 1870s but, I'm not positive.you girls who collect these things will know by looking at it, immediately. It Measures 14" Long X 8 1/8" Front to Back X 9" Tall. Both the Trunk and the Tray are structurally sound with no loose joints or corner wiggling or racking.it's firm all around. The Latch is Original, I believe but the rear hinges look to be of a later date. The Original painted cotton cloth covering(over the wood) which is what they used back then(much the same as many full-sized trunks from back then) is torn and/or missing in several areas. I suppose this can ... morebe restored if so desired. There are two knot holes in one end of the trunk. These were not drilled by anybody.they are actual natural holes where the knots fell out a long time ago. The Original Interior Paper covering is well worn. There is no key and was lost probably a very long time ago. One of the Leather Handles is torn off but I have left it in the tray for you. Revolutionary War Era Pine Trunk Travel Chest Military Campaign Iron Hardware. We are selling a very old named military campaign chest from the revolutionary war era. This just is constructed with most unusual cuts of wood. The top. Sides and bottom all have one piece planks for construction. I believe this chest was all painted in a hand grain when it was made originally. The inside of the lid has most of the original hand grain still on it. There are a few small spots we can still see the original grain but 98% of it is gone. Chest was also repainted in a grayish color at one time, but most of that gray color is also gone. The iron hardware is all hand forged and mostly still there. The strap hinges were moved at one time is the pictures show. The lock is all may have iron,and in the locked position, with no key. There are remnants of leather ... morehandles on both sides of the chest. The chest has been Nailed and re-screwed and resecured many, many times. The newest nails in the chest look to be close to 100 years old. There are screws, original hand cut nails in the rectangular shape, and the very old, square handcut nails. The owners name was Capt. E. B. Jones. His name is on the front of the chest, the side of the chest, and looks like some other writing on the bottom of the chest which we can't make out. There is also a very small partial shipping label on the front in white paper that reads Cunard lines, NO. 7. The size of the chest is 28 1/4 x 17 x 16" This wonderful little wartime souvenir has all the properties of be in from the Civil War era. The chest is in very rough condition and you are buying it as is and shown. Please look close at the pictures as they are part of the description.
