This is a vintage wooden Thorens music box. It has 3 songs and 36 notes. The songs are"Home Sweet Home" Blue Danube" and"The Last Rose of Summer" It has a section inside with hand-painted green leaves. It's quite pretty with a lot of character The dimensions are approximately 8" wide x 5.5" deep x 8" tall. I'm selling it AS IS because I can't figure out how to get inside it to see if it works. The movement looks to be in particularly nice condition. But I'd guess it needs a bit of oiling after being in storage for so long. Original finish from the factory. The previous owner collected a few pieces from this line and we are offering them now. Good condition with very well preserved original finish and very strong and sturdy with no structural issues. Made by the Drexel Furniture Company. They had quite a reputation and their furniture will last forever because of the strong leadership. Materials and proud craftsmanship in that era at this firm. C. 1820-40; almost untouched condition Item# 1401ETP11PP This is a nearly untouched example of early Americana. An austere and unembellished blanket chest from the second quarter of the nineteenth-century. The top is a single solid plank of thick poplar with molding applied to the edges using cut iron nails, lifting over original cut and forged iron strap hinges(retaining original screws) to reveal a tidy interior with a small till on the left. An iron lock used to be attached to the inside, this and the clasp now absent. The clean lines of the front of the case are accentuated by the exposed dovetailing following from the sides through the original bracket feet. The ... moreentire surface retains a wonderfully patinated early red paint, almost certainly original. While many households do not have a need for blanket chests today. We've seen some very successful integration of these forms into period and primitively styled decors as entertainment stands(being of perfect width to compliment a television) and as a table flanked by a pair of chairs, perhaps in front of the window. None are missing, so it had to be moved. Also, the brass studs on the left are not as evenly spaced as the right side. The back and bottom of the chest are a dark green. I believe the sides that display the fruit are painted black but that may be because of the painted design. The sides are dark green also. The gold trim is painted also. The chest measures 14 inches wide by 5 inches tall. There is some scratches and the top is slightly marred but overall in good condition. I just found that on the back at the base, one stud is missing from each side. See the 6th photo. One may be broken and not missing. 18th Century Pennsylvania Pine Red Painted Dovetailed Chippendale Blanket Chest
Antique 18th Century Pennsylvania Red Painted Blanket Chest Made of pine. Features 6 board dovetail construction with beaded edge lid. Dovetail bracket feet which are slightly splayed and seen rarely. Appears to be original red paint which has been varnished over at one pint. Hinges are slightly loose and need some attention if you will be opening and closing the lid a lot. Top has a small split near the back edge and there is a bump on the front left beaded edging. Also has a water mark. No key for the lock. Has some mostly illegible writing inside top lid. Measures 26 1/2" wide x 18" deep x 23" high. A good solid chest with minimal damages and repairs. The all drawers have metal knobs a knob and is very shallow where the other drawers also have knobs but are much deeper. The overall measurements are Depth 13" front to back. Width 24" across front. Antique Hand Painted Pennsylvania Dutch German Wedding Blanket Trunk Chest
This is a beautiful antique hand painted chest or trunk. It is decorated on 4 sides with flowers. The flower painting is in pretty good shape on the sides and on the top. The escutcheon is very unique. The trunk measures roughly 46 inches wide by 23 inches deep by 25 inches high. It has been passed down in my family for several generations. I can remember it always being in a guest bedroom in my grandparents home and they were art and antique collectors. I am in the process of downsizing and I have quite a few pieces to sell. I would estimate late 18th to early 19th century. The hardware and lock are iron and the locking mechanism is very primitive in design. I do not have a key. The paint is in good condition but there is some wear on the corners and edges. The interior is in pretty good shape. The boards are solid. Country Pine Folk Painted 1840's Antique Immigrant Trunk or Chest. Hand crafted in northern Europe in the 1840's. This picturesque immigrant trunk or chest is wormy pine with hand painted floral motifs resembling traditional Scandinavian rosemaling. Hand planed with hand cut corner dovetails. This furniture has a beautiful old finish. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina. The interior is very clean. There is a compartment with a lift lid for valuables. Hand wrought iron mounts and handles are original, there are losses to the banding as shown. A 19th century painted blanket chest. Dovetailed throughout, in need of restoration or display as is. The surface is very worn and dry and we believe it to be original. Working lock and key. The hinges, while old, are replacements; the lock we believe is original. There is significant damage/loss to the bun feet. Lots of dings, scratches, wear and tear. Repairs to the area around the hinges on the back of the piece. The piece measures approximately 15" tall(including 2" bun feet) 27" wide, and 14.25" deep. Beautiful Antique German Pennsylvania Hand Painted Trunk Chest For sale is a beautiful antique hand painted chest or trunk. It is decorated on 4 sides with flowers. The painting appears to be on top of a gesso or tempera of sorts. The flower painting is very nice and in pretty good shape on the sides but worn on the top. The escutcheon is very unique. The trunk measures roughly 46.5 inches wide by 23.5 inches deep by 23.5 inches high. It shows a good deal of age because it is very old. I am not certain but would estimate late 18th to early 19th century. It is possible that it is older since the joints and hardware are similar to chests claiming to be early to mid 1700s. The hardware and lock are iron and the locking mechanism is very primitive in design. I do not have a key. The iron hinges could use a little straightening. There are square ... moreand round nails holding it together. Some of the nails for the hinges have been replaced with screws. The paint is cracked and peeling and missing and dirty. The interior of the trunk shows mostly red. The lid has a label and a picture of cupids. The label in in German but I don't think it has anything to do with the origin or maker of the trunk. There is a small lidded storage compartment on the left side. The ball feet appear to be correct. One toward the back shows deterioration. There are some random areas that show past termite activity or worm holes. I am not sure. The boards are solid. Though. Chinese Japanese Painted High Relief Wood Tansu Chest Cabinet Calligraphy Poem! This is a magnificent antique Chinese Japanese Tansu chest cabinet with some densely grained heavy wood painted in red and masterfully executed with Oriental scenes in amazing raised relief which exhibits much skill from earlier era quality. It features Chinese Japanese calligraphy poems on all decorated raised relief scenes. I do not believe the cutouts in the back of this gorgeous chest are original to the piece but were added at some later date for electronics and wiring things. It has great form and outstanding all different Asian high relief decoration scenes on all front and side panels. It features brass criss crossing mesh cage in the top panel doors. It measures 33 inches(83.82 cm) tall by 26 inches(66 cm) top panel width by 17 inches(43 cm) top panel ... moredepth. It weighs about 54 pounds(24.5 Kg) by itself without any packing materials. Here's what I stated about this special and rare chest's condition: Some small material loss in spots in raised relief painting. A few long scratch marks showing exposed wood beneath. Some dings. Dents, nicks, and small chips, but overall all intact with nothing broken and very appealing and very heavy strong wood construction able to withstand a great amount of weight. I do not believe cutouts in backside of chest are original piece but were made for electronic wires and plugs at a later date. The chest is solid wood and has safety hinges that lower the lid slowly. It is about 20 and 3/4ths inches wide by 12 and 1/8th inches deep by 14 inches tall and extremely well constructed. My daughter called it her treasure chest and used it to hold her special items when she was young- jewelry. American Girl doll clothes and accessories. Stuffed animals- anything that she really loved. Picture 1 makes the chest look white. While the other pictures show its real color. It is in very good condition but does have some scratches on the top.

We found this lovely piece at an estate auction years ago but never had the right place for it so it's time to let it find a better home. We have no information on age; it was crafted in China. Some information with artist mark is on felt-lined bottom. The hinged wooden chest measures 18" X 10" X 8-1/2" high The painted background is a distressed antique gold; floral crests around all sides are painted in browns. Green, touches of red, accented with metallic gold. A nicely cast bronze lion head with ring forms the handle. The exterior of the box appears to be covered/wrapped with what has the appearance and feel of leather but we're not certain of that. May be faux- rubbed corners, etc. reveal a white substance under the painting. The sides show stitching and nail heads where the wrap has been folded over. In addition ... moreit looks like there is an antique wash and clear coating on the entire piece. The surface has crack lines(similar to porcelain crazing) which in our opinion adds to the feel of an old chest. The interior is lined in what we think is paper designed to look like green fabric with phoenix designs. CONDITION: previously owned. Age unknown. Interior is pristine, some rubbing on exterior corners and a nick on the front near the bottom

This is a beautiful primitive immigrant's trunk. This is a very large trunk measuring 55"Wx32"Hx24"Deep with a curved top. It has dark green painted planks with hand stenciled flowers. Also stenciled on the front is the initials"BLD" and the date"1849" The trunk has hand forged metal straps. Handles and an original keyhole with the old fashioned metal key. The key and latch still works. Construction includes wooden pegs and dove tailed joints. The inside of the trunk is the original whitewashed wood with built in box storage area. Kids HAND PAINTED Nautical 5-drawer Chest by Art For Kids
This is a FANTASTIC 5 drawer wooden chest by Art For Kids. A fine furnishings line for kids. It is hand painted in a beautiful nautical scene with a lighthouse and sailboats. The finish is in an antique white finish with a natural rustic look to the edges. It measures 37x36x21 This is my favorite kids furniture we had for our boys. Sadly. My little boys are not toddlers anymore. It has normal wear and tear. See pics for detail. You'll see in the top on the right side that the rustic edge has a little bit more rustic look to it.
