Antique Primitive Child's Wooden Chair Rustic
It looks like there was at leat four coats of paint on this chair before someone tried stripping it and stopped half was through. It is well made and even has some turnings on the back and front legs. It is still in solid condition. One leg does have a crack which I have included a picture of. It measures 20 inches tall and has a `11 inch wide seat.

It has a chipped carved Art Nouveau design on the top(pic#2) It has nicely turned spindles. This dates to the 1890s to early 1900s. It still retains a partial original makers label(pic#5) Unfortunately I cannot make out the maker as not all the label is in place(H.L. Day*ons& Co. Chairs) It is solid. Sturdy and usable. Has typical squeaks when rocking but is solid. Probably restored 10-20 years ago or so. The seat has a re-glued center split(pic#4) No breaks or repairs on the arms, legs or spindles. It looks like at least one of the screws in the back was replaced. Art Nouveau Crystal Glass Pitcher. Silver Overlay, Alvin Co. Silver is stamped"999/1000" and the mark for"Alvin Co" 3Pt. 3650-3. Heavy silver for the rim and overlay compared to similar silver overlay on glass. Nicely hand engraved. Monogram. A Gothic"K" I think, underneath the spout. Ground pontil to underside base. 2 Tumblers are included with the pitcher. They were together in the estate they came from. They appear to match but do not have any hand engraving to the overlay, nor are they marked. The glass appears the same color and quality. The 3 pieces are i n very good condition with no cracks. Chips or check to handle. We see no silver loss. Glass does have a few minor scratches when placed in a bright light but are hardly noticeable. I really don't know too much about this bag. It is styled in the classic doctors bag fashion. But the cloth insert looks to be like something a women would use. But it may just have been the taste of that doctor. Not sure what is made of. From a tear on the seam of the fabric I can tell it was insulated by a brittle type of thick cardboard. The outside is tough, has some bends, a part of the seem is beginning to seperate from the top metal frame. Has both clasp and is a pretty cool piece, but it does have some wear it accumulated over its years of travel. You can see a small place where the doctor once did a stitch repair, pretty cool. Fantastic flea market find! INDUSTRIAL STEAMPUNK vibe. Black leather bag with edge detailing. Brown leather handle. Bottom hinged with 4 metal ball feet. In nice antique condition. There is some wear to the leather handle and a few scuffs but other than that it’s in great shape. Push button latch functions well and the interior is clean. Exterior of case measures 13 1/2” w by 5” deep by 6 1/2” tall Not sure what it was originally used for. Inside has compartment with a silver hook clasp that measures 6 1/2” x 5 1/2” fits 4 x 5 negatives nicely. perhaps a photographer’s accessory bag? The section next to it has cut-outs in the leather that look like it was intended to secure a sharp instrument. Writing utensil or maybe music reeds. Antique Silver Plate Condiment Cruet Holder Oil & Vinegar Shaker English
Oil and Vinegar Condiment Cruet Up for auction a very old antique condiment cruet holder/ oil& Vinegar. Shaker and jam/ mustard jar. This has a silver plate base and hand cut glass. The bottom tray or holder is silver plated. It is stamped E.P(a picture of a pig) GURMAROID REG(some registered mark) 8681. This was my Grandmothers or her mother's and my grandmother is over 100 years old. I believe this is hand cut glass because of the irregularity in the cut shape of the stoppers which are not round or even. The two tallest bottles are around 6" tall and the other two are 5-1/2" and 3-5/8" Width of the bottles are 1-3/4" and the silver stand is 8-1/2" tall. There is a chip on one of the stoppers as shown in the picture. A tiny flea bite is visible in the top of the stopper and there is a small chip on the top ... moreof the hinged bottle. The spoon is solid silver and the best I can make out it reads AS SSB AFGHAN SILVER with a S with a small BS inside it. The spoon may not be original but it has aways been in the set far as I can remember. Make sure you look at the picture carefully because this is the part you will be receiving. All sales are final. Antique Victorian Kerosene Hall Lamp 1800's. This lamp was converted to Electric. It measures 10" from top of brass sitting on glass to bottom brass piece. The largest cercumference is 23" around. From top of chain to bottom of lamp is 27" There are tiny chips on top outer rim. Very tiny. There are no cracks. It is a Red Ruby Swirled Glass, Beautiful! Now the great story behind this lovely lamp. We purchased from the Estate of Red Roettis. The aurthor of"L. G. Wright Glass Company" He co-authored with James Measell. He was liquidating his Huge Glass collection. Now this item was purchased by him at the Estate of Molly Brown(Unsinkable Molly Brown. Titanic) At one time I believe in 1932. There was an Auction at her home in Denver Colorado before they turned it into a Museum. Mr. Roettis purchased this and another ... morehanging lamp. We don't have proof of this but was just told this at Mr. Roettis Estate sale when we purchased it and another lamp he bought at Molly Brown's home. We are not ready to let go of both lamps but are willing to part with one. Great piece of history and a Beautiful Lamp. The original furnishing where auctioned off in 1932 when Molly died in New York. There is a bit of Titanic memorabilia in the home. It is a dug-out(29" long) hand-carved& hand-made folk art canoe or primitive long-boat made of solid wood and with g e ometric carvings of triangles and"V-shapes" which are recessed into wood-these carvings are inlaid with old clay deposits-much of the white clay has fallen out of these old recessed carvings-please see pics. There are also carved shapes along the sides and top of the boat(see pics) Th is folk art canoe has no repairs or restoration and is in its all-original antique condition. Th is boat was found at a local New England estat e and I am uncertain of its origins. Boat is long and measures approx. 29" long x 3/5" tall x 2.25" wide, the center is carved out as a real dug- out canoe would have been. T here are carved out holes placed along the top which I believe has once held oars or paddles to pilot the fishing canoe. These paddles could be hand-made by someone and if and when they were placed in canoe would look lovely and complete the folk art work of art which is quite primitive and beautiful. Antique 1800's Victorian Sailor's Folk Art Shell Valentine Whimsey
This auction is for a sweet little Victorian era sailor's shell valentine! The shells are mounted on a piece of heavy weight. Diamond shape cardboard that is trimmed in a decorative paper. The piece measures 4" x 6" and is decked out in a variety of pretty and some very different shells. I wish I could identify these beauties! The shells around the edge have the most wonderful greenish/pink opalescence. Which shows up in photo 4 and photo 7! I've taken close up photos of the unusual shells with the triangular polka dot designs! I've never seen anything like them! The large shell in the middle also has a lovely opalescence. There are some other little bits sprinkled in amongst the shells; such as some green and red"seeds" and perhaps a little piece of fossil. Issues: This piece is quite sound. The remaining ... moreshells are securely attached. Unfortunately. It isn't in perfect condition. I count four places that look like there are shells missing. I also count two shells along the edge that are missing a significant piece. It is a little dusty; but not bad. I wish the piece was signed! Overall. Marked JOSEPH KINZINGER and the date 1836(the year the Alamo fell) with fantastic natural dark honey aged patina. I have shown this piece to a couple of experts in this specialized field, and the consensus is that the horn is carved in an 18th century style, and that the name and date were recorded later; probably a presentation or commemorative occasion such as a hand me down from a father to his son. It is also possible the entire ... morehorn was carved in 1836 in the 18th century style by an"old timer" who was commemorating his travels for his family and posterity. This scrimshawed was accomplished and skilled; this not being his first horn that he decorated. The detail of the scrimshaw is exceptional, and the content extremely interesting. The experts also admired the natural dark honey untouched aged patina; one saying the remarkable color variations are the best he's ever seen. This profuse and finely scrimshawed horn tells a story, with dozens of individual images. It is a foregone conclusion that this scrimshawed was recording his journeys, and was undoubtedly aboard the 3 masted ship portrayed on the horn that took him to the African and Indian continents. Click picture to enlarge Example of Mark click picture to enlarge Description SCARE EARLY CFH LIMOGES BOWLS UNUSUAL AND HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE The photos simply do not do justice to these Aesthetic Movement beauties. They are outstanding in every way! The finest quality porcelain. Crisp colors on a white ground, outstanding aesthetic movement design, and in amazing condition. Set of SIX very early Charles Field Haviland 9 1/2" rimmed bowls. Each with a different hand painted design with gold detailing, featuring Japanese influenced birds and floral motifs. Gently scalloped gold gilt borders. Marked on the bases with very early CF Haviland marks. The printed letters CFH in green and the early"lifesaver" mark in blue. That ... morewould places these bowls around the 1870's. Predating the 1881 sale to Gerard, Dufraisseix& Morel(GDM) I am not a Haviland expert. But with the strong Asian influence in style and motif, these seem to be a precursor to"Foins et Papillion" commonly referred to as Meadow Visitors. CONDITION: About as good as you will ever find in porcelain bowls that are over 130 years old. No chips. Cracks or crazing that I can see. Bowl#1: In the center of the bowl. There is just a small area(about 1/4" where there may be just a touch of wear to the surface glaze(almost impossible to see) On one spot in white ground on rim, I can feel a few tiny bumps under the glaze, as made. Some wear in a 5" long area along the gold gilt rim, but only on the side view; looking from the top it is fine. Bowl#2: I suspect that there is wear to the tiny gold detailing on the birds and flowers. Although without seeing how it originally looked, I am not 100% sure. Gold rim is great, with just a very small area in the side view(about 1/2" with a little wear. A few other miniscule irregularities, most likely as made. Bowl#3: Just some minor wear at a few spots along the gold rim. But

Up for auction are two antique earthenware Aesthetic Movement black transferware small rectangular dishes or bowls that I believe are made by A. Bros(G.L. Ashworth& Bros. of Staffordshire. England. They are off-white with black flowers and leaves. Each dish is 4 3/8" by 2 7/8" and 7/8" tall. The condition is very good with no chips or cracks. There are a few glaze pops(see photos) Even though these do not have the Ashworth mark, they do have the printed number 10(and 2) to mark the pattern and the pattern is identical to one that I currently have listed, which is a matching brown transferware platter or tray. Up for auction is an antique earthenware Aesthetic Movement brown transferware platter made by A. Bros(G.L. Ashworth& Bros. of Staffordshire. England. It is off-white with brown flowers, leaves, fronds and a large moth. It is 13 1/2" by 10 1/4" and the rim edge is raised to 1 1/4" The condition is very good with no chips or cracks. There are a few dings to the rim edges(see photos) and utensil wear marks consistent with age and use. It has the impressed Ashworth mark and crown and the brown printed marks with the name of the maker and pattern name. This mark was in use from 1862 to 1890.
