It is crafted of solid mahogany(top, sides, drawer fronts, drawer secondaries, columns) mahogany veneers(stile facings on right and left of drawers and drawer blades) white pine secondaries(back, bottom, interior blocking) rosewood(knobs) and unidentified stringer inlays(appear to be holly or satinwood) The top is rectangular in form. Projecting over the front and sides with tight turrets at the corners over spiral-turned columns- these complex formations transition from a series of tight ring turnings into the spiral balusters over tiny urns and completed with a series of complex ring turnings over cork feet. The columns define the chest, greatly elevating the form with tasteful embellishment that does not distract from the overall composition. The graduated two over three drawers retain their original rosewood knobs, these flanking the inverted tear-drop escutcheons and framed as a whole in the rectangular stringer inlays. Dovetail construction dominates the chest. Through dovetails securing the sides of the case to the bottom and presumably to the interior framing upon which the top is set(unable to verify without removing the top) The back board is deeply chamfered to slide into rabbets in the sides and is secured with glued blocks inside the case and tacks along the lower edge. Antique wooden miniature chest/ writing desk. Made well over 100 years ago. But exact date not known. 11.5 inches long; 8 inches tall; 5.5 inches front to back. May have been a salesman's sample and may have been a child's toy. Would make a wonderful jewellery box today. Beautifully constructed a long time ago. Long. Deep drawfront divided into two compartments, at the bottom, right accross the front. Above it is a much narrower/shallower drawer with no division. A desk/ writing surface above that and recessed behind is a set of 6 smaller draws, all but one divided into two sections. The draw pulls are made of natural material, we are not sure exactly what, and some have a little bite missing here and there(as shown in'photos) The draws are beautifully constructed with fine dovetails. A lovely 1800's small chest of drawers standing 17 inches tall. It is handmade and unsigned. It has all the original porcelain drawer pulls which are usually broken or missing some. It has age appropriate wear on the feet as shown in the photos. There are modern repairs on the hidden portions of the drawers. The nails holding the top are iron and square. Antique Faience Bough Bulb Pot Hand Painted Miniature Bombe Chest Commode
This listing is for an antique faience pottery bough pot in the shape of a miniature bombe chest or commode. The piece is hand painted and measures 9" across the back. 7 3/4" across the front, 4 1/2" front to back, and 5" tall. There are many openings on the top to make a lovely display for bouquets or for forcing bulbs, 13 openings for smaller bulbs(crocus) and 1 larger opening for hyacinths, daffodils, etc. It also displays well on its own. I have photographed the areas on the piece where there is missing paint and glaze from use, particularly on the corners and a chip on the underside of the top edge. Antique 1930s Art Deco Cedar Lane Hope Chest Miniature.
One of the oldest Cedar Lane miniature hope chests I have ever seen. Art Deco design from the 1930s. This box was fully restored. Outside of the box was cleaned and finished with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-polished to a soft lustre with 0000 steel wool and paste wax. The wood has beautiful straight line graining and coloring. The box is 9" long x 4" tall x 4 1/8" deep. These miniture chests were given to the purchasers of a full-sized one to use as jewelry boxes. This one came from the Rice-Pappenheimer Furniture Company. The Lane Furniture Company was established in 1912 in Altavista. Virginia. It still has a functioning lock, but no key. Wonderful Antique Salesmans Sample Miniature BLANKET CHEST WOODEN 1800's
This is a wonderful antique primitive miniature wooden blanket chest with bun feet. It is in lovely condition with appropriate patina. It measures 8 1/2' long 5 1/4' wide and stands 5 1/2' tall. The maker created a wooden locking mechanism so that the drawer can stay secure with only the lid opening. You can see the peg in the photos. In the up position the drawer opens an closes, in the down position it stays secure. There is a lock though I don't have the key. There is nice shrinkage in the wood that I believe is pine and maybe walnut. I just am not sure, I don't know wood well enough to state a fact. 19th C ANTIQUE MINIATURE CHEST DOCUMENT BOX FOLKSY PAINT DECORATED SQUARE NAILS
Up for your consideration is a folksy early paint decorated miniature blanket chest or document box. The paint is old within 20 years of chest being made. It's thin layer that has adhered to the chest very well and is very strong. There is some paint droplets on top, that are not original as shown in photo#2. It is constructed from solid black walnut with square nails. Its very heavy weighing about 12 lbs. It measures 17 1/4" Long By 10 1/4 deep( top) 10 1/2" deep(bottom) and stands 11 1/2" tall. It has age related stress wear by hinges. See photos, but it has no hairlines that run the entire lenght of top bottom or sides. 2 Antique Miniature Salesman Sample Dresser Chest Drawers Vanity Doll Furniture?
Up for auction are 2 Antique Miniature Dresser. With pull out drawers and mirrors. Very solidly made! I am not quite sure as to the exact origin of these piece as if it was manufactured as a piece of doll furniture or if it was to be presented as a salesman sample. I think that they where saleman samplers, because the estate sale I purchased them at there was no kids toys or kids item sold at the sale. The larger dresser measures approximately 9 3/4" tall x 6 3/4" wide x 4 3/8" deep. It is solidly constructed of a fine hardwood( looks like oak wood to me) It features a mirror, but over many years, it lossing most of it refecting material around its edges(see pictures) it features 2 pull out drawers, but the one drawer is missing 2 of it wooden knob drawer pulls( see picture) The smaller dresser measures approximately 7" ... moretall x 6 3/4" wide x 3 1/2" deep. It is also solidly constructed of a fine hardwood( that also looks like oak wood to me) It features asmaller mirror, but over many years, it lost some of it refecting material in the bottom middle area(see pictures) it features 2 pull out drawers and has all of its drawers pulles. Both are in nice condition for its age. It does exhibit some loss/ wear to their mirrors and mising 2 drawers pulls, plus a few very small specks of white paint, that are not real noticeable. A couple very neat old pieces, these dresser would look amazing in any collection or doll house. Presented for your consideration is this Antique small blanket chest. This chest is a small chest measuring approximately 20" wide x 11 1/2" deep x 9" tall. This chest appears to have been handmade with primitive wood and hardware. I am unsure as to the exact original purpose of this chest as it may have been a salesman sample for a salesman to display to perspective buyers. It features its original tray insert inside. Overall this chest is in nice condition for its age. It does exhibit wear associated with age however it also features a one of a kind look that can only be accomplished through years of service. Antique Korean storage miniature chest coin ton kwe 19th
This Korean chest is 21 inches wide. 12 inches tall and 12 inches deep. Half of the top lifts up to provide access to the chest. The chest is likely made of pine, but we are not certain about that. The inside of the box is lined on the bottom with old paper. We have the brass lock in the shape of a fish but it does not work readily. The hardware is brass or bronze. There is some wear to the finish on the top. This is likely a coin chest though usually the lid on the top is wider than the one on this chest. The chest dates to the 19 th century. The chest has an age crack on the bottom.

This is a beautiful and quite rare antique miniature chest of drawers. It appears to be a furniture salesman's sample. The style appears to be an 18th century style. This piece is quite old and appears to be at least early 19th century and possibly earlier. Many of the drawers appear to be made from pieces of wooden antique cigar boxes. The chest of drawers measures 14" tall x 9 3/4" wide at widest point x 6" deep not including the handles. It has wear from use but overall has a great antique style and looks amazing. First off the photos are terrible and does not show the true color. So it will look much better in true life. This fine little chest is all hand made with a great paint decorated pattern. Shields. The box is pine and nailed together using square nails with a few round head that are later additions. I would date this box in the last quarter of the 19th century. It has some type of a side catch to keep the top from falling back when opened, one side is broke. The finish is all alligator and adds to the great look. The proportions of the box are great in form. Box measures 13” long, 6 5/8" deep and stands 6" tall. There are 12 photos for your viewing as well as a good guide ... morefor the condition. American Federal Miniature Spice Box Antique Chest Drawers, Boston MA c. 1805-15
CHEST OF DRAWERS ANTIQUE CHAIRS TABLES BRONZE SCULPTURES FINE PAINTINGS SCHOOL OF ORIGIN SUBJECT LAMPS. LIGHTING American Federal Mahogany Miniature Four Drawer Spice Chest Boston. Massachusetts c. 1805-15- Oak Leaf Basket Inlay White Pine and Mahogany secondaries; Mahogany primaries; Rosewood bun feet; Mixed wood inlay Item# 120009UQR12 This is a beautiful miniature chest of drawers from the American Federal Period. Probably Massachusetts c. 1805-15. With a well preserved surface under a later polishing, the overall character of the oxidized and dark finish against the fine ribbed mahogany grains of the chest is compelling to say the least. The projecting top is a solid board with an ovular inlaid basket overflowing of oak-leafage with other foliage over an ebonized ground. The sides of the case dovetail into the floor of the chest and are ... morenailed to the top, stretched against the three drawer blades that tenon into either side of the case. The face of the chest is a perfectly graduated set of four drawers, each with a pair of original carved knobs over a ribbed mahogany facade, each dovetailed front and back with a white pine bottom, chamfered around the edges along the underside. While we can't decipher the inscription, the bottom drawer has a teal tone scrolling that might shed light on the history of the object with further research The back of the chest is a single board of white pine, a hand planed replaced piece that is affixed attached to the chest with replaced interior blocking lining the inside. The chest rests over turned and round Rosewood bun feet that tenon through and into the bottom of the chest. A very nice find for any serious collector of period miniature boxes. With clean lines and very careful craftsmanship, this is an investment grade selection for collectors of period Federal furniture. The replaced backboard and blocking may cause some pause for the purist, but the crisp and somewhat uncommon inlaid top coupled with pristine craftsmanship make this one of the finer miniature boxes we&

Rare 19th century French Napoleon III era(mid-1800's) salesman sample-sized miniature bombe style commode or chest. Beautiful marquetry inlay over the serpentine-shaped sides. Gilt ormolu accenting, drawer pulls and original marble top. Two small scratches-near bottom middle of top drawer and top middle of bottom drawer. Small chip on bottom right of top drawer(see photo) Marble top has come unglued. Very good condition. No missing pulls or accents. No chips in the marble top. 11" wide by 9 1/2" high by 6" deep. ANTIQUE MINIATURE OAK DOLL DRESSER CHEST OF DRAWERS SALESMAN SAMPLE SCROLL FRONT Beautiful miniature oak 3 drawer dresser. Most likely for a doll house but could be a salesman sample based on the quality scroll work on the drawer faces. This piece was all hand made and put together with nails. Each drawer has wonderful flowing design of acanthus leaves pressed into the face. Each drawer also has great wooden pulls. Based on the 2 holes in the back of the top this most likely had a mirror. Condition wise the is in very good shape for it's age. The drawers all ... moreslide open smooothly and fit nicely into the case. As mentioned there are two holes in the top that held a mirror which unfortunately I do not have. These could easily be filled with oak plugs or covered with a nice runner. The left side does have what appears to be a piece that started to tear out of the wood right along the grain. I think this was a flaw in the wood as the piece is only separated down about 1/2" and is solid below that and tight against the side. The nail at the bottom is not holding it on. That nail is holding the side to the rail. The top drawer bottom does have a piece that has separated but has been glued back on and is tight. The bottom drawer has piece that came off the side but this can easily be glued back on. This does have a few old worm holes in the middle drawer front and the back but no evidence any recent activity. Please see my photos for clarity and ask questions if you have any other concerns.
