I have available two vintage wooden Luggage Stands(other stand is listed in a separate listing- check it out- I am always happy to combine items for shipping cost savings) This one has a light brown finish- the wood is possibly maple or pine. The three sturdy straps are made from a heavy canvas. When extended, the stand measures 20 inches tall and the top measures 16 x 20 inches. It folds up for handy storage when not in use. Bought from John Wanamaker Department Store in New York. The serial number is 793314. It has a Hotel Savoia Majestic. Genova, Italy label on the left side& part of a Cunard White label on the lid. The main latch catch has: 149 New Bond St. London on the left side& 70 Champs Elysess on the right side. It measures aprox 27 3/4" L X 8 3/4" H X 17 1/4" W. There are some scratches& wear but all in all very good shape for it's age. After all it was used as luggage on cruise ships& hotels. We visited the Louis ... moreVuitton Shop at Lenox Mall in Atlanta. Ga. was informed that Louis Vuitton can replace the missing handle. It does have the tray. There is some staining inside& pieces of tape on the lid. 2. The middle size was purchased at Marshall Fields. Pre 1950's? It has EPW handpainted on each end. The serial# is 793347. This one also has 149 New Bond St. London on the left side& 70 Champs Elysess on the right side of the main latch catch. It measures 29 3/4 L X 8 1/2" H X 18 1/8" W. There are also pieces of tape on the inside lid. There is some age related wear& scratches. It used as luggage on cruises& hotels& has some staining inside. It does have the tray. 3. The largest& newest of the three. It also has EPW handpainted on each end. The serial# is 907716. The handle has some wear. But the trunk itself has very little. The inside has little or no wear at all. Looks new. I checked at the LV store in Atlanta& found the same size bag listed for over $7.800.00. Not sure of the age maybe the 70's or 80's. Here is an awesome old suitcase. It is an attractive Tweed& Leather Styling with a Bakelite Handle in the Tan/ Braown tones. The Suitcase does exhibit some amount of scratches and scuffs to the body and there are no keys to it. It opens ands closes nicely. All the hardware is perfectly in tact. This suitcase is the large 25" x 15" x 9" case that will makes it a terrific choice for display and really terrific as the base of a stacking set. I use suitcases and pic-nic baskets in my home and have each one filled.One with tablecloths. One with tableware items such as napkin rings, cocktail forks, salad& ice tongs as well as some table decorations for centerpieces and another case has assorted cloth napkins. Here we have an incredible hunter green wardrobe trunk made by the Dread-Naught Luggage Company of Petersberg. Virginia around the 1930's. The interior has been completely recovered in a stunning ivory/ cream satin fabric. It has a locking mechanism for the drawers in addition to the exterior lock and the keys are included for both. The exterior has the wear and tear you would expect for its age and the leather handle is worn and torn as well, all of which add to its antique character. The top latch is off, but we have it; someone who is handy could probably easily re-attach it. The lower latch and lock keep it securely closed without it. 1930's small vintage antique travel train makeup case luggage
Antique vintage train case from 1930's or 40's with mirror. Beautiful faux crocodile deep cognac/burgundy color. Gorgeous display item! Does have wear as shown in pictures. ANTIQUE AVIATOR BY WHEARY 1900's SUITCASE Luggage Case, Vintage
For your consideration is an Antique Aviator by Wheary Suitcase from the 1930s with initials! The suitcase is a nice old find. I cant find another like it. From a little research I've found that this brand is from the early 1930s. The case is in great shape for its age. The handle is in tact but only one lock fastens completelty(Original Key Included but does not seem to function) The bottom four corners are covered by thick leather. Normal wear for its age.
