Great Vintage Antique Leather Luggage Handle & Straps, Garters, Trunk
This is a really cool estate find. It's an antique or vintage luggage handle with side leather straps and two long loose straps. The handle part measures 11" long by about 1-1/4" wide. It has nice flower studs holding the handle to the brace and the only marking I can find are embossed flowers on the buckle flags. The leather straps are about 40" long. Then there are two 35" long separate straps that are marked suede top. Genuine Cowhide and CODE Garter something something. Overall very good condition for it's age. All the leather is still pretty strong. I don't know that I'd trust this on actual heavy luggage but for display it's perfect. Really nice vintage example. I will combine on shipping but rates have gone up again. And now BOTH Ebay and Paypal are charging us a final value fee, a final value ... morefee on shipping, listing fees and income tax so I have to add a bit to the shipping to cover. Not sure if the outside has been restored. The wood stain is medium dark color. Leather handle still intact though showing cracking. Metal trim. Measures approx 9.5" x 14" x 7" tall. There is no key. There is a latch which secures the lid down which likely may have been an after thought. One hinge on the back is coming loose. So you'll want to reattach it. Inside there is period paper and wear as you can see. Some stains on the bottom likely can be cleaned better. Smells nice inside. This is a gorgeous dresser. Faux Alligator vintage green train case suitcase kitsch 1950s antique luggage
Here's the coolest thing. A green fake alligator embossed old train case from probably a 1950s luggage set. It is made by Superlite. It is stitched. And has brass coated hinges, latches, corner supports, and feet bumps. Inside we go immediately opposite color to bright red and a mirror. There happen to be a couple vinyl belts that were to secure sundry bottles as this was commonly referred to as a train case, but was actually used to take make-up and use as a mini-vanity for a little home away from home. There is some wear from use outside in the way of scuffs, scrapes, and chipped away or cracked leather spots. Also the base of the handle has cracked away leather. Still this displays well with a mostly glossy finish to the glorious green. Inside there is soiling and stains from spills in use. You are bidding to purchase an amazing primitive antique steamer trunk that is unmarked. But reminds me of the Louis Vuitton ones. And covered with a textured substance that reminds me of leather. But I’m not sure that’s what it is. I appreciate any information you can provide about this well-traveled piece of history. It is wooden and has rounded corners and measures approximately 33 x 21 x 13 inches and has leather strap handles on the ends for easy carrying. One end of the strap is secured to the trunk and the other end will slide back and forth to a metal stop so that the leather handle will lay flat when not in use and pulls out for a comfortable grip when moving it. This case features a rounded wooden trim with metal(possibly brass) guards on the corners. It has 3 metal hinges to hold the lid in place and a metal trim band around the ... morelid and along the front side corners. There are several labels or stickers on this case. Some of them read: On the right end: HAMBURG-AMEWRIKA LINIE D. DEUTSCHLAND(I believe this is the Hamburg-American lines) Another one also reads HAMBURG AMERIKA LINIE A third one on that end is worn but is also from Hamburg America Line(per the logo) A forth one on that end says OBERSEE-GEPACK-NR. Vintage Antique Burberry Luggage
This item is a authentic vintage burberry storage trunk in top condition with very few minor scratches in the wood which are unnoticeable from a short distance. This is a rare vintage trunk that survived decades with almost no damage and came from a smoke free home. The antique trunks outer design is not the common burberry nova check pattern. It is the older"classic burberry nova check" pattern that was introduced in the 1920s,they are similar, with a few differences. The background has a light yellow undertone, and the vertical lines are a light pink unlike the newer pattern where the lines are red. I took an up close photo to show the specific detail on the pattern. The classic Nova Check pattern does not have the faded knight insignia like the newer pattern. If there are any deviation from these well-known patterns it is an ... moreindication that the item is fake. The classic nova check is on a vinyl coated canvas and the parallel and horizontal lines align perfectly from top to bottom with no inconsistencies in the design.as shown in the picture) which verifies its authenticity. The trunk has all the pieces of metal hardware still attached which are the signature burberry gold and silver tone color. The stitching up and down on the straps and handle align perfectly in a straight even line with no inconsistencies or loose stitches. Loose stitching and poor alignment are an indication of a fake. From the top to the bottom the trunk measures 12 inches tall and from front to back it measures 13 inches. On the top of the trunk it measures 22 inches from left to right. The gold flip lock has little wear and the burberry knight holding the B Prorsum flag can somewhat still be seen etched into the hardware. which is seen in the up close photograph. This is a rare. Beautiful piece of artwork that would accent any home and would look great in a window display in any boutique or store. The North Building, built as Sassoon House, originally housed the Cathay Hotel and is today the Fairmont Peace Hotel. It was built by Sir Victor Sassoon of the famous Jewish families that prospered in Shanghai. The Sassoon’s dominated Shanghai business and real estate in the early 20th century. His family had extensive business in Hong Kong. Shanghai and Calcutta. The Cathay was first high rise building built by Sassoon and was designed by P& T Architects Limited(Palmer and Turner) with a reinforced concrete structure. Construction began in 1926 and completed in 1929. It rests on hundreds of Douglas firs, sunk into the mud, for the Bund is reclaimed swamp-land. Most of the building features granite facing, with the ninth floor and the roof surfaced with terracotta. Vintage Framed Label This piece appears to be a smaller version of a popular work of religious art from around 1900-1905. It is a colorful and artistic combination of the Lord's Prayer and the Ten Commandments. Unique for its time. It used varying size types, bold colors and vignettes around the border. Several larger versions exist. But I believe this small format to be quite rare. It appears to be printed on a gummed-back label typically used on a trunk or luggage. The piece is framed in a gold-painted wood frame. Much younger than the art piece itself. The frame measures about 5 1/2" x 6 1/4" and the label is about 3 1/8" x 4" It seems to be in very good to excellent condition. With no apparent damage.

Item description- On offer today I have the most charming small metal steamer trunk which I assume would have been used for hand luggage etc. Please note I do not have a key for it- I am unsure too it's age- Item condition- This item is in sound condition with some wear and tear in keeping with it's age and being used.
