It is very good condition, with a few very light surface scratches ... moreon it from general use, but it has been well taken care of and the finish is excellent condition. The chest has a polished pink granite top that just simply sits on top and has mitered angle corners. There are a couple of small chips in the granite at the edges. I am unsure of the age of the chest but would guess that it dates to 1920s to 1940 at the latest. It has glass drawer pulls, and has dovetail joints on the drawers, as well as a complex dovetail joint at the top, joining the framework together. The top drawer has a small, divided area on the right, and the other two drawers are simple large open drawers with plenty of storage space. The chest is 30" tall, 30" long, and 21.

So my appologies. Here we go again. This listing is for a really quite spectacular circa 1850 very elaborate apprentice cabinet circa 1850 or so. The cabinet measures 19 inches high by 16 inches across and 8 inches deep. 48 by 40 by 20 cm) The cabinet has 4 wallpaper lined drawers. Each drawer has a brass escutcheon and two round wood pulls each with a brass star. The cabinet is mahogany with the top. Front and both sides covered in marquetry work. The marquetry work is at least 6 different woods including olive and fruit woods. The drawers are flanked by columns with fancy capitals and bases. The whole sits on 4 bun feet. As you can see by the photographs the cabinet is a really beautiful example of"proof" that an apprentice had achieved mastery of his cabinet making skills. The condition is also exceptional for it's age and virtually untouched as far as restorations or repairs. The drawers maintain their original wall paper interiors. There are two relatively pieces of marquetry work missing on the top but otherwise the cabinet is in really fine shape. Shipping anywhere in the US via UPS Ground with full insurance is $30.00. The chair shown is offered elsewhere in our collection Item# 110105PII25 This is a remarkably preserved English Chippendale Period Kneehole Desk. Circa 1740-50. It is crafted of well figured solid single boards of Mahogany on the top and sides- there is no veneer on this desk, just solid boards of full grain mahogany. A simply molded edge runs the perimeter of the top, each corner scalloped. Each drawer is hand dovetailed front and back, with thin oak frame construction and thin oak drawer bottoms- all drawers are fully original and lack any adjustments and restorations to the secondary construction. Glowing hand forged brass hardware adorns each drawer. Appearing to have never been removed from the piece. Inside each drawer, as well as the tiny door in the kneehole area, silver metal locks are secured and functional. Each lock appears to be original, each uniquely cut on the right hand corner for all small drawers- it would appear the craftsman was presented with the challenge of making the lock of his choice fit the small space in conjunction with the pull hardware, and overcame this but cutting the corners of each lock. Hand made screws are visible throughout the lock hardware. While we cannot say for certain if the key is original, it is of the period, hand made and very similar in metal color to that of the locks. Each drawer is lip-molded and slides flawlessly in and out of the desk. Just below the top drawer is a secret drawer compartment. Appearing to be part of the frame design, but actually pulls outward smoothly as an extra hand dovetailed drawer. This is a unique addition for the craftsman to make, as many of these knee hole desks are without such innovations. The wide top drawer pulls out to reveal a full dust shelf. American Federal Period Red Painted Chest of Drawers Connecticut c. 1780-1800 Item# 120102ZMP25 This is a rather fine American Federal Period Red Painted Maple Chest of Drawers. Almost certainly Connecticut c. 1780-1800. It is an absolute work of art with a somewhat early and crusty red and black painted surface over the maple primary woods. The broad single board top projects over the case, finishing in soft molded edges of the solid over four graduated drawers. Each drawer features original hand cast batwing hardware and faux-keyhole escutcheons with numerous layers of original and later paints- one picture below shows a faux-keyhole escutcheon removed from the case, depicting the gritty surface behind it as well as detailed closeups of the back of the hardware. Each drawer is hand dovetailed with broad and rough dovetails. The drawer frame ... moreand bottom crafted of white pine. The bottom is deeply chamfered to rabbet into the frame, and each drawer bottom is nailed at the back, though many nails are later with only a few originals. Each drawer is divided by drawer blades that through-dovetail into and through the side of the case and backed by pine drawer runners nailed inside the case with rose head iron nails(one drawer runner top right replaced) The bottom of the case is uniquely designed. Sliding into rabbets in the sides of the case along the entire bottom, locking at the front with an exposed through-dovetail. The top, likewise built to last, is joined at the top with a sliding dovetail joint that allows the top to expand and shrink easily without causing cracking or pressure. The back of the case features two board construction, one board being incredibly wide at 20" the second board being 13" wide with a soft ovular flow between the back feet. Antique Style TV or Entertainment Center, Which Look Like A Chest Of Drawers
This is a very walnut entertainment or tv cabinet made in England circa 1950. It sits on bracket feet and has brass handles, l think at some time one of the brass handle drops have been changed, but every thing else is all original, there is satinwood inlay to the front and top. The front pulls up and pushed back so you can either watch tv or have a music center in there. Measurements are 34 wide. 36 high, 19 1/2 deep. There are few light scratches to the top but looks fine.

It's in excellent condition for it's age. Needing only a few touch-ups. Some of the'Gold' that is on top& bottom of chest including the legs needs touching up where it has flaked off. Standing in front of(facing) ... morethe chest. The right side front corner just below the gold'rope' on down needs some cream touch up. The top is nice& smooth although there's 3 tiny little'pits' size of the point on a tooth pick. It looks great without any of these fixes, I am just trying to be as detailed as possible so there are no surprises when it arrives at your door. Please carefully look at pictures as they will'describe' it's condition better than my words can. The only'hardware' is drawer pulls& they look original. Everything else is wood. I don't see where any nails were used at all. As far as history on this all I can tell you is I purchased it from a gentleman that said his mother had bought this at an antique store in the mid west back in the 70's. After researching the internet& from what he told me It's most likely from the 1940 to the 50's. Again that's just a guess. I couldn't really find another one like it. Antique German Hanau Solid Silver Novelty Chest of Drawers Shape Trinket by Friedrich Reusswig 1910 This Antique Novelty Shape Trinket Box measures approximately 1 7/8 inches or 48 mm across the length of its lower body from side to side by just under 1 1/2 inches or 37 mm across the width of its lid from the hinge to the front and it stands 1 1/2 inches or 39 mm tall to the top of its lid when closed. The box is made from solid silver that has been internally gilded or gold plated in the delightful novelty form of a 17th century European chest of drawers that stands on four scroll shaped legs and it has two false drawers in the front of its body. The entire outer body has been wonderfully embossed or raised relief and engrave decorated with scrolls, flowers, lattice, foliage, birds and cherubs at play and the box has a five section piano ... morehinged lid on the top of its body, the edges of the lid overhang the body for ease of opening and the box has Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram. Although we have found no silver marks as such the box has been tested and it is guaranteed as being made from solid silver however the internal base of the body has been impressed with the German Hanau silversmith or makers marks of Friedrich Reusswig whose marks are recorded as being used from 1903- 1926 again as photographed below, I estimate that this novelty miniature chest of drawers shape trinket box was made circa 1910. The condition is used and near Mint for its age. The box has No Large Dents. No Splits, No Cracks, No Holes and No Repairs that I can find, the box or chest of drawers stand upright, the decoration and definition is very crisp, the lid opens with ease and closes tightly, the internal gilding is a really good colour with only minimal wear, the impressed makers marks are still legible although as the trinket box is a used antique it does have the obvious signs that it was hand made and it has one tiny dent in the rear left corner of the lid edge along with some extremely minor

It has a nice form and it dates to the 19th century- the turned knobs look like 1860s. But there are old wire nails so maybe 1880s. The drawers are nicely dovetailed. Note the interesting case with the bottom drawer; a lock installation was started but never finished, and I believe this was absolutely original to the piece when constructed. The piece measures 10 3/4 inches tall and 10 3/8 inches wide across the top. The dresser is in good antique condition. The old finish looks original. As shown in the pictures. This is another item I am listing for a neighbor/friend. His parents purchased this at an auction about 40 yrs ago and at that time it was said to be about 100 yrs old. Here is a large antique solid wood 10 drawer chest which I believe was for prints or drawings based on the size of the drawers. Also would be great to store a relic collection in. Measures 70-3/8" long X 33-1/4" deep X 36-3/4" tall. The inside drawer measurment is 28-3/8" X 25" This chest has some deep scratches across the top& the RH side panel is an added piece of particle board because it had been mounted against something else at one time. The left side still has its original side panel. I do not have any pics of that side because its sitting against the wall& I cant move it right now to get the pics. The chest could stand to be refinished primarily because of the deep scratches on the top& discoloration on the legs. Outside of the deep scratched in the top& the added side& normal wear.
