Indigenous Native American weft-faced textile. Region: Rio Mayo region. State of Sinaloa. Culture: Mayo. Approximate Age: Turn of the 19th century to early-20th century. Materials: Handspun natural and dyed sheep wool. Approximate Size: 89 inches(excluding 7-inch fringe on both ends) by 56 inches. Colors: The colors are a little richer than the photos suggest. Remarks: This special lot consists of a beautiful antique Mayo Indian blanket of historic style dating from the turn of the 19th century to the early-20th century. The vertical side bands are filled with sharply pointed. Serrated parallelograms. The off-white center field is filled with various interconnecting diamonds some of which are divided into four parts. for sale is a very nice serpentine quartersawn oak dresser with an intricate cut beveled mirror housed within its frame. to cut that mirror today with the bevel would cost a minimum of 800.00. at any rate this is a wonderful solid dresser with no issues to report other than the mirror is a bit smokey and has lost a wee bit of silver. it has great carving with much detail. the top is solid quartersawn oak of the highest quality. hardware is all original. the casters are new. the top is serpentine as well as the front. it is 50 inches wide at it widest point. 24 inches deep at the widest point. it is 82 inches tall being 36.5 inches to the top surface of the dresser. it has a claw type foot. i managed to dig this out of an upstairs bedroom set. i have included a few pictures of the bed. I'm selling it just as i found it. I don't see any holes or damage to the blanket. I could not find anything like this one on ebay anywhere. Super nice blanket. please see my other auctions. I do not know how to describe this horse blanket as I am a motorcycle parts salesman. Sadly my step-daughter's horse passed away after 15 wonderful years of it's life. Up for your consideration is an Antique blanket made in Mexico. This blanket measures 68" wide and 105" in length. It is very long and hangs on the floor when put on my queen bed. The first two pictures were taken inside. Then I hung it over my deck to get pictures of the true color. Sorry about the shadowing. I don't know a lot about Native American blankets. But this one is hand woven. It is made from wool. There are no moth eaten spots or repairs. Where the fringe is on the top and bottom edge, it looks like it is trying to come unloose, but it has not does so yet. Influence was perhaps from Pend'Oreille or Nez Perce culture. It appears to be two sided with the designs on a green background on one side and on a red background on the other. The little Pendleton tag normally found at the corner is gone. The blanket is rather large measuring 55" x 100" with 2" fringe added to either end. If not, they used a very thin thread that is no longer used. This blanket is super super beautiful and is an antique. It also has issues, from holes to more holes. The chest stands 24 inches high.20 wide and 42 inches long.It is assembled with what look to be hand forged nails(see example picture)the front and ends are 1 piece boards,some age cracks but vy solid piece,imagine the tree size which created single boards this size.The back is made up of 2 boards,so suspect it was up against a wall? Is painted gray all over and painted with scenes over top, front and one side. Other sides were started but not finished. On the top in the painting of the girl the date of 1948 has been painted in. Antique Tribal Blanket Weaving Southwest Rio Grande Indian?
Offered is a vintage old tribal wool blanket weaving. Possibly Rio Grande/ Indian? It has vivid black, cream, red, and orange colors. There is a medallion design in the center with a floral motif on each side of the design. There is a seam down the middle of the blanket, with fringe on each end of the weaving. The weft and warp are soft spun wool. I estimate this weaving to be from the early 1900's- 1925. This weaving is in very good condition. There are a few tiny moth nips, but nothing that detracts. There are small areas on both ends of the weaving where fringe is missing and some small areas of edge damage. There is no bleeding or fading. This auction is for a very beautiful hand made. ANTIQUE, NATIVE AMERICAN NAVAJO RUG. I am not a Navajo rug expert and I know very, very little about this one. I purchased it recently at an estate sale because I thought it was so lovely and unique. I don't know the age, but I believe it is quite old. It measures 58 1/2 x 35 1/2 inches(nearly 5 x 3 feet) It does show some wear and has some loose yarns here and there on the edges. Also it has a small hole that measures 3 x 11 1/2 inches(see photo) which could be repaired. Other than those things mentioned, I see no stains and the rug is quite clean and fresh. This is a very rare item and not many have come up for sale. This is a horse hair lap blanket used by the Amish in Central Illinois when they drove their carriages in the winter. The label on the back reads"Manufactured by Cownie Tanning Co. Des Moines. IA" circa 1880. Lined on back with dark green wool, and trimmed in lighter green felt. It measures 6' 3" X 4' 1" Because it is made from 1 horse hide, it is not symmetrical, so some areas may be a little smaller or larger than what is listed. I just measured from 1 point on the blanket. This would be the ultimate Western bed cover. Could be used as a rug, or hung over your stair rails, as Thomas Jefferson did at Monticello. Antique Vintage Handmade Hand Stitched Quilt Blanket Bear Paw Pattern Red Green! This is an antique quilt with a bear paw pattern. It is red and green in color. And the red fabric has a sort of berry pattern to it. This is very old- probably from the late 1800s or very early 1900s- and is all handmade and hand stitched. This appears to be a summer blanket, as it has very little batting and is quite thin(though not particularly thin) This measures 72" by 88" This is in good condition still. But please note that it is quite old. Some of the fabric- particularly the green fabric- is a little discolored and faded. An antique miniature chest with wonderful dovetail joints. Footed. It sits on 4 legs. 19 th Century. There is paint on the bottom. Original paint. Lovely warm patina. There are hints of green paint on the outside. This is a beautiful primitive. I measure just over 17 ¼ inches tall by about 26 ¾ inches wide by just under 14 inches deep. A hard to find size. Weighs about 24 pounds. It looks like both hinges have been moved a time or two. There is an inlay patch on the lid near the keyhole. The key hole is quite worn. I’m not sure of the type of wood. The lock is off. There is part of the lock loose on the inside. The box inside may be called a keeper or keepsake or candle box. All components of box show traces of having been gleaned from a fruit crate the box is in excellent shape, and measures 8" long by 3 3/4" wide and 3 1/4" tall. There are three tiny nail holes visible on top of box lid one in front center, and two on right side edge, which are remnants of when piece was a packing crate please see last photo. The front of box has a beautiful scallop design and still retains faint pencil layout lines. Original to the creation of the piece. Both sides of the mini blanket chest have footed arched features which join and compliment the scalloped arched front. The center stitching is coming undone in places. There a several small holes, and pet hairs present. I am guessing it has been washed. Antique Northen Ohio Blanket Mills Wool Blanket EARLY camping blanket huge!
This is a wonderful early Northern Ohio Blanket Mills wool blanket. It's very large measuring 7ft. 2in x 7ft. 2in. It has rustic brown hues with hunter green and mustard yellow stripes. It's absolutly gorgeous! It's in very good antique condition but does have a few patches as you can see in the photo's. It has a few small holes but nothing too significant. I found about 7 small holes(not p[atched) while inspecting the blanket. They are mostly very small and hard to find unless you are looking for them. There are however 2 that are about 1" in diameter. One is on the edge of the blanklet. It is very clean and has no odd odors. This is a very old very well made 100% wool blanket.would be great for decoration or to use! Hudson's Bay Blanket Antique 4 Point Green Wool Cowboy Era Label Removed
Hi. You are bidding on a very old blanket. The size is 88 inches by 67 inches. It fits a double bed. I think it is a Hudson's Bay Company blanket because of the weave. Positition and size of the label(which was removed) and the general style. However, it could be another company. This is one of the older ones you will find. The condition is OK but it does have moth tracks. A few of those tracks turned into tiny holes. They are not really visible unless you get up close and pull on them to see that there is a tiny hole. Nashua Quality antique vintage BLANKET Blue White Checks Stripes 144 x 60 Tag
Double Long antique/vintage"Nashua Quality" blanket measures approximately 144 inches long by 60 inches wide. The blanket has a tag in one corner with the words"Nashua Quality" It has a tag in another corner with some written numbers on it. Only one side of this tag is attached(see photo) The pattern of the blanket is shades of blue and white checks with some stripes on either side. I think the blanket is made of cotton but I'm not positive. There is a dark stain streak on the blanket(see photos 4 and 5) I did not try to clean this stain out of the blanket. Beautiful Hand Woven Blanket or rug? very thick and heavy. This came from a beautiful old farmhouse estate in Michigan.Measures 66" by 86" Hand woven wool blend? Has a scratchy wool feel, absolutely beautiful deer design, Color is fushia/white. No rips or tears, has some small loops added at one end that look like they were put there in later years. 2 small orangish stains in one area, I have not laundered this item, will leave that for the buyer, since this is such a rare and awesome piece.
