Bucherer Blue Enamel Pendant Watch with Box & Necklace Stars Guilloche Ball vtg
There are 12 pics above plus an additional 15 photos below the description. Vintage Bucherer Pendant Watch with Necklace and Box Parts or Restoration Recent estate find. The pendant watch itself measures 3/4" wide. And it weighs 19.5 grams. The chain necklace measures 29" long, and it is marked Amerikaner. It all comes in this Bucherer box that I assume is original, but I could be wrong. Is there a holder or something of that sort missing from inside the box? I don't know. I have not opened this watch. But I am pretty sure that the inside is probably marked 925 for sterling. You all know better than I do. The hoop on the pendant has a tiny duck hallmark. This watch does not work. I can set the time. But I cannot get it to wind. I assume it is wound too tight, and there may be other problems as well. It is being offered as found ... morefor parts or restoration. To the naked eye. The crystal looks pretty good, but with a magnifier and bright light, you can definitely see a good deal of scratching to the crystal. The dial and hands look to be in great condition. The crown and silver have scratching. Pitting and related wear throughout. On the side of the watch, there is an approximate 1/4" area of roughness to the silver from a previous owner opening or at least trying to open the watch. Above this blemished area, there is an approximate 1/8" flake to the enamel(narrow chip, a bit whitish, but other than that- quite inconspicuous) Across from this imperfection, near the silver on the other side, there is another related area of roughness to the enamel(more minor and narrower- very close to the metal) If you try hard enough with a 10x magnifying loupe and bright light. You will find a few super tiny bites here and there to the enamel- nothing that is concerning. I noticed that the hoop on top of the pendant is not perfectly centered. It came in this Bailey Banks and Biddle box however I don't know if it's the original box. It weighs 16.8 grams and is marked sterling on the edge along with a hallmark. The leaf has interesting detailed sterling silver veining and the guilloche engraving shows through the translucent enamel. It is 1 3/8 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches tall. Both sides are decorated with light purple guilloche enamel as shown. The interior has a stippled finish and a heavy gold wash. It has a steel compression clasp and an interior fabric strap. Great condition overall, but you can see there is some slight chipping to the cobalt blue frame, which is kind of hard to see, the cobalt seems to be glass over enamel, anyway there is some slight chipping but it's hard to see. Tiny fleur de lis- at first I thought it was a cross but it's definately a fleur de lis. this is an extremely rare high end victorian handmade dresser box. the charm on the top is held by swirled bronze arms and is in a nice oval shape. its made from. Sterling silver with a wonderfully detailed blue guilloche enamel with a bone inlay and the border is a nicely carved faux tortoise shell in a bronze setting. the back has an oval hand hammered bronze floral design. the box is beautifully footed with very ornate swirled feet. the boxes sides have a great checkered raised pattern and is hand riveted to the bronze box with great copper rivets. it opens on a hinge in the back and the bottom lining is a light brown linen with a nice roping trim. the piece has a great patina from age. the bottom of the box is made from leather that has some ware as well as the top of the checkered box and front of the oval pendant. but overall in good ... moreshape for age. measures 4 3/4 by 4 3/4 by 2 3/4 inches extremely rare victorian handmade box. The silver metal is probably chrome plated. The brown leather suitcase and copper-coloured guilloche enamel pieces are complemented by a satin-lined brown interior. Which has the same radiating waves pattern of the guilloche enamel. There are pockets on each side and attachment straps also in brown leather with press studs to hold the pieces in place. The larger pieces are mounted on the satin lined interior. The set consists of: a mirror; a hairbrush; a clothes brush; a comb; four bottles and three manicure pieces. One small manicure piece is missing. The case has two lock fastenings but no keys– although these should be easy to replace. It carries the initials lightly stamped and painted of gothic letters AMB– these should be easy to remove. MEASUREMENTS: The suitcase is 45cm in length; 31cm in width and 15cm in depth.
