Austrian guilloche enamel and silver cigarette or card case of heavy weight made by Georg A. Scheid during the late 1800s or very early 1900s. This piece was made during the turn of the 20th century. The top of the silver box is covered with machine turned designs covered with a layer of translucent, shimmering blue enamel. The case closes tight, with a great spring loaded hinge. The interior has a deep gold wash and two bars for stringing an elastic piece across if so desired. The inside is marked with Georg A. Scheids hallmark. The Austrian Minerva head mark for.900 purity silver and some import marks for Germany. This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age. As ... moreyou can see in the photographs below. Stunning Vintage Foster& Bailey Sterling Art Deco Guilloche Enamel Compact 925 STERLING ENAMEL ART DECO COMPACT This compact is a stunning example of Art Deco style from the 1920's or earlier It is a gorgeous work of art. It was made by Foster& Bailey out of solid sterling silver and is marked twice as such. Once on the inside and also on the finger chain. The lid of the compact is opaque red. Green, white and yellow enamel with a black enamel background. It is reminiscent of oranges and cherries with leaves or a stain glass window. The sides and the back are white translucent Guilloche enamel. On the inside it has rouge and face powder that are unused and still wrapped in tissue with the powder puff. Inside the compact it is in 10 condition. Outside it is an 8 or 9 as there looks like two spots of repaired enamel. Only noticeable ... moreon close inspection. The compact has a octogon shape, with stunning machine engineer turnings on the top center. The compact is about 2 1/4" across. The compact has the guilloche on both the top and bottom. Would make a lovely Valentine's Day gift! Up for bid is a beautiful Cobalt Blue Guilloche Enamel Sterling Silver Compact in lovelt condition. It is marked inside. Under the swivel shaker plate, 1857 AUSTRIA STERLING SILVER 925" with one more marking after 925 that I can't make out. The enamel is in good shape. With minor scratches from use, and a chip and hairline crack at the hinge(see photos) Cut into the center of the enamel is what looks like a silver basket of flowers with what appears to be ivory inlaid in the base of the basket. Hinge works perfectly, but lid is tight to close. Possible misaligned, but it does stay closed. Swivel shaker plate is removable and fully functional and is stamped AUSTRIA. The mirror is beveled glass. It looks like the original silver behind the glass has separated. But the glass is intact with ... moreno chips or cracks. I do not clean it because I don't want anyone upset that the patina is gone. The salt dish is 2" across and the shaker is 1 1/2" high. The complete set weighs 1.7 ounces on my postal scale. It has a metal mesh base and an enameled rose in the center. It measures 3" by 2.25" and is in good condition. The clasp works perfectly. Vintage Aksel Holmsen spoon, sterling with glowing enamel, guilloche
This is a beautiful Askel Holmsen sugar spoon that dates from the 1960s. The enamel is perfect on the face; it has three chips on the reverse which are shown in the photos. It remains a lovely example of Norwegian silver and enamel. It's a very decorative piece. Hallmarks for Holmsen and for Norway are clear on the reverse.

You are bidding on a lovely French enamel hand mirror from the 1920's.The mirror has enamel handpainted roses in the center. With lots of gold filigree and pearls with dark blue stones on the outer edge.This mirror measures 2 3/4" long and 2" wide. It is in very good condition. Still has the original beveled mirror. It has black marks on the mirror from age, that are shown in the pictures. If you wanted you could easily have the mirror replaced. There is a teal colored tassel that looks to be original as well. The tassel is 5" long.

Vintage Guilloche Enamel La Mode Small Doublet Dompact
This is small 2 x 2 1/8 inches pretty floral guilloche enamel on the top Double sides inside- power on one side rouge on t he other- the mirror is highly polished metal. The back has quite a bit of wear scuffs and scratches the finish is not as sturdy as the enamel on the front. There is some small areas of darkening on the metal trim. Still a nice in better than good condition for its age and use. I am always happy to combine shipping and give a discounted rate when possible. It depends on the items purchased.
