Normal 0 0 1 2 16 1 1 19 11.1539 0 0 0 Item Description- Beautiful French Art Deco lamp. Signed Degué lampshade. Wrought and hammered iron lamp base, Bakelite lamp holder and switch. Hand made from thick. Pressed glass between 1926- 1936 in France, this is an excellent example of famous Degué glass, signed and guaranteed original. The lampshade or'tulipe' has a deep geometric and stylised floral design- classic Degue- and is mostly frosted with polished clear highlights. The lamp is 40 cms or 16 inches tall. Is 15 cms/ 6 inches across and wheighs 1.5 kg/ 3.3 pounds The glass is in great condition. There is a very tiny fleabite on the rim(pic 10) and a shallow hairline crack visable on one side of the glass only(pic 11) I have had to look very hard for these. They are hardly noticeable, do not affect the stability of the ... moreglass and I only mention them for accuracy. The base is painted iron and is in good. Aged condition. The paint is missing in places either through age or design and this adds to its charm. Included in the sale is modern wiring suitable for 110v. 220v or 240v fitted with a European B22 lamp holder. This can easily be replaced or converted to another size depending on your needs. Artist Information- Degué was the signature given to the stunning glassware produced by David Guéron in France between 1926– 1936. Specializing in Art Deco lighting and vases. Stylish Antique French Art Deco Bronze Dear and Marble Table Lamp, 1920s-30s
Here on offer is a stylish antique French art deco bronze dear and marble table lamp. Dating to the 1920s to 1930s. This gorgeous table lamp was purchased many years ago in a Parisian antique market. The marble base is a beautiful soft pink colour. The dear is beautifully modelled in bronze with a strong dynamic quality that is typical of the art deco period. Sadly the antlers are damaged and there is an area of damage on the deers side. Please see the photos. It stands securely on the base. The lamp and shade support are almost certainly the original. But the cable is a later replacement and is wired for use in France, the plug fitting is continental. I would strongly recommend that an electrician inspects the light before use. 1920s EXCEPTIONAL! Vintage Embroidery w/French Knots,urn,flowers
This 24 1/2" x 20" beauty is even more striking in person. The colours are equally vivid on the front and back(second pic is the back) Let me start by saying that I am a proffesional picture framer and one of the more exciting parts of the business is carefully removing the layers to discover any provenance. As you can see. there was a scrap of paper stuck to the rabbit glue. after a lot of research and translation. I found that it came from a pre 1930's book from Germany. In the old days framers would use whatever was available to them(archival and acid free wasn't thought of then) Though the piece seems French to me. I guess Europe is a small and integral land, so I would not bet my life on it either way. I have never seen such an abundance of French knots with an incredible intensity for its age. The last picture is how ... moreit was found at an estate. The frame was not in great shape and it was flattening the texture. And adding to that there was the annoying factor of reflections and postal fees, so it's better all around this way. You will note the tack that I removed the rust off to reveal a unique design. The nails were also an indication of its age. So much more. But I won't bore you with the details. Just hope someone loves. 1920s HENRI FARNY Paris French Bb CLARINET w/Case - NEEDS RESTORATION WORK/TLC
For sale is a vintage"Henri Farny" wooden clarinet. The clarinet is stamped"Henri Farny& Cie Paris" The Henri Farny name was used as an import name on French clarinets sold in the US(and possibly other countries) in the first half of the 20th century. From the case manufacture I believe this is a 1920s or 30s example. The clarinet body itself is in good shape with no cracks or damage. The keys are all a nasty green color and need heavy polishing/cleaning. The body joints all need new corking. And the keys all need repadding. The metal ring on the bell is loose, as well. The keys all move properly but I think they need oiling and adjusting. From comparisons of the instrument to others I have deduced that this is a Boehm system clarinet. Probably in the key of Bb, though to be honest without playin g it I cannot determine ... morethe key. Aside from the company name I cannot find a n in dicat ion of key. It comes with an old. Worn mouthpiece, ligature, mouthpiece cover, and a box of old used Vandoren reeds. The case is in below average condition and is missing the handle. Tho ugh it still serves the function of holding the instrument. One of the case lat ches doesn't work as well as it should. Overview of issues Keys an d body need a good cleaning( and polishing for keys) Metal ring on bell moves loosely The connecting parts on the body joints need new cork(on both joints) All keys need new pads It may seem like it has a whole grocery list of i ssues. But mos t of them I b elieve are standard jobs for someone who is a woodwind spe cialist. It mainly needs padding. Corking, and cleaning as far as I can tell. Because of the age and characteric s of the instrument I think it would be a good candidate for kl ezmer music or early jazz.

Antique French 1920s Male Mannequin, Paris Label, Wooden Arms, All Original
Rare antique French male mannequin. Circa 1920s. It is extremely rare to find a male form of this period, and I could not find a comparable mannequin and struggled to find an example from the Pilmans Paris maker. The mannequin has composition legs. Hands and head. His torso appears to be made of reinforced fiberboard which is covered in fabric and is designed so he may pivot his upper body slightly. The torso is stamped“Pilmans, Paris” in red. The arms are wooden and swivel and pivot for lifelike poses; they are attached to the torso at the shoulders and held fast with adjustable wooden nuts reached through the little door in his chest. The mannequin wears his original leather shoes, and the pole mounting him to his octagonal metal stand slides up through a hole in the left shoe. The head sits loosely on a wooden post built into the neck. ... moreHe stands upright solidly. The mannequin is in overall good condition. But does show his age and could use cosmetic repairs. The legs show light chips in the paint. The fabric on the torso has a couple of small tears(pictured, on his back) His head shows numerous cracks and scratches, which I think add to his character and testify to his age. One hand shows damage, with two fingers significantly affected; in the proper hands, I don’t believe repair would be difficult. Finally, the right leg shows a crack(pictured) which again could be patched or just covered in a trouser leg. Personally, if I was to keep him, I wouldn’t do any repairs save perhaps the hand- I prefer his seasoned aesthetic. Measurements: Approximately 5’10” inches tall. 17” shoulders, 38” chest, 32” waist. Here I am offering another item another item among estate sale of a Holocaust Survivor. This is a fine French 1920s heart charm pendant. It is hand made in 18k yellow ornate gold in heart shape. 12 small diamonds are set in this pendant. Diamond is April BIRTHSTONE… The pendant measures a bit less than 5/8 inch long include the bail by a bit less than ½ inch width. It weights almost 1.9 grams; and is in wonderful condition. Please note that pictures of jewelry. Specially the ones that involve precious stones are very difficult to obtain. Very often(too often maybe) when these pictures are displayed in a monitor the result is diamonds show darker than they actually are when the fact is they aren't, or some light effects can be seen. DESCRIPTION: Offered here is a truly amazing super-rare vintage antique Art Deco 1920's fully hallmarked French continental sterling silver(and possibly gold) Paste, topaz and lapis bracelet in wonderful ... moresound condition with the exception of missing stones(see full description continued below) This is a really top quality piece with so many unbelievable intricate details! In trying to research this bracelet on the Internet. I was only able to find 2 others of differing designs but apparently by the same maker and both bracelets were listed at over $1000! THE CONSTRUCTION- This flapper bracelet is heavy and substantial weighing a whopping 48.3 grams and has a width of about 1-1/4 inches at the widest point. The length is 7-3/8 inches. It is beautifully made and designed with a total of 11 hinges and is a very articulated piece! It is quite thick as well with a pierced open-work design along all the side edges. The closure is a well constructed hidden tongue-in-groove clasp. The tongue portion is gold(see hallmarks section below) and is also hinged. It can be seen in the photo with the ruler which also shows the intricacy of the back side. THE DESIGN- This bracelet consists of 3 large silver panels with geometric cut-out designs.
