Description For your consideration. A stunning, vintage(1920s) Cobalt Blue Teapot made by the Hall China Company. This particular pot shape is called the French Teapot and was one of the earliest pots to be added to the Gold Decorated line. This style teapot is a perfect example of Hall's decorating diversity. The gold decorations on some of these french pots exhibit excellent craftsmanship. The two most frequently found gold decorations are the"Daisy" from the Gold Label Line and the gold"French Flower" decoration. The French pot was made in several different sizes beginning with the smallest, at one whole cup, to the largest, the stunning 12 cup pot. French Jeweled & Enameled Purse 1920s gilded brocade
Up for Auction is a stunning French Evening Purse. This purse is most likely from the 1920s. It is in unbelievable shape! The body of the purse is a silk brocade in a gold metallic shade with floral designs that match the exquisite floral enameling and gemstone detail on the frame of the purse. The floral enameling on the frame is amazing and in perfect shape. It is surrounded by 4 gem cabochons in green and red. The enameling is only on one side of the frame. The gilded frame has a beautiful floral scrolling and has a gorgeous gilded chain handle. The scrolled kiss clasp has beautiful detailing with the finishing touch of green jade looking glass caps on the kiss clasp tops. Inside the purse it is lined in I believe it's called a silk shantung. In a warm beige coffee color. There's 3-4 areas where there are small separations in the ... moresilk. Original 1920s French. Ladies cloche hat. A very rare example of an original French black gabardine ladies low brimmed cloche hat complete with an original Art Deco bakelite hat flash. This is a fabulous and stylish example of a French Art Deco cloche. It is formed on a sisal base. I can date this hat perfectly as it came complete with an original French newspaper article about cloche hats dated December 1929. The front is exceptional. The gabardine folds carefully around the crown and triangular pleats trim the front in true Deco style. The Art Deco hat flash(a fabulous bakelite collectable in its own right) sits to the side. Just fabulous and so rare in this condition. This is a fabulous collectors piece as well as being totally wearable. The inner lining is in black silk and is original. For auction is a vintage powder compact from the Art Deco period. Made in France. The domed glass top has very pretty butterfly wings encased inside. Very attractive and bright. The case is made from metal with a gilt type finish and engine turned base. The butterfly wings seem to be in good condition odd patches around edge, see pics. Lid shuts down ok. WWI - Pre WWII French Green Canvas Utility Messenger Bag 1920s 30s
This bag came from a house where the boy was in the Scouts in the early 1930's. It looks like he used this bag for his American Red Cross efforts as a youth. All of the buckles are marked FRANCE. He did mark the bag with his name in several areas. But all of them are on the inside of the bag with the exception of the strap.
