Original cotton interior tag reads. MADE IN FRANCE" All hand done. A lot of work went into this intricate piece. The beads are small and white, with a lovely floral and architectural pattern along the waist line and bottom of the dress, front and back. Scoop neck. Drop waist. Fine French Art Deco Frosted Glass Vase with Dragonfly Motif 1920s/30s Unusual vase in pale turquoise-blue frosted glass. Decorated with dragonflies all around its surface. Dates from the 1920s or early 30s. Could have been made by a number of glass companies that flourished in the pre-War period. But there are no markings, so difficult to tell which one. Extremely pretty design and obviously of quality manufacture. Measurements: 5-1/4" high. 3-3/4" wide Condition: Very good. Apart from small abrasions round the lip, felt rather than seen. 1920s 1930s 1940s French Black Homburg Sz 7 click picture to enlarge A classic 1920s. 1930s, 1940s style black wool homburg from Paris, France. This hat came with a Parisienne newspaper page folded inside the leather hat band, probably to make the hat smaller, which dates the hat to July 1940. The hat is constructed with exceptionally fine thick wool furfelt, and has a grosgrain ribbon hatband around the classic crown. The hat is in very fine condition with very little sign of wear, with no moth damage, no fading, no fraying, and no stains on the inner leather hat band. Often seen on Matthew on our favorite Downton episodes, this style of hat was popular from the early 1920s right through to WWII when it was replaced by the fedora as the most popular men's hat. Edwardian 1920s Cream Silk Chiffon and Lace Elegant French Dress Sz 8-10 An original late Edwardian or early 1920s French flapper dress with elegant Edwardian lace detail. This classy dress is made of whisper thin silk chiffon in two layers- the top layer heavily decorated with matching silk lace and a plain chiffon lining. The lace is exquisite. There are two lace inserts on each side of the skirt that are very full and that make falls on each side of the dress. The lustrous silk lace gives the dress a pearl-like radiance that makes it perfect for an elegant event or even a wedding. The dress has a low V neck and the lining provides a sort of modesty strip but it is semi sheer with only one layer of chiffon and one can glimpse the decolletage through it. The long sleeves are fitted to the cuff. And also have lace decoration up the sleeve. ... moreThe dress is very well made, and the lining is attached at the shoulders to the outer part of the dress with all seams finished. The measurements(approximate) are bust(pit to pit) 38" waist 38" hips 38" shoulder to shoulder across the back 14" shoulder to hem 48"at the longest(falls) sleeves 15" These measurements are roughly equivalent to a US size 8. The dress is shown on my size 8 model and fits well. But because of the loose fit of the dress it could probably also fit up to a size 10. The condition of the dress is excellent, with two small specs on the front of the dress(around hip level near the lace on the left side) and 3 or 4 tiny holes behind the right shoulder- both are shown in the photos. Neither is noticeable, nor do they detract from the elegant beauty of this dress. The specs may well come out with cleaning. The tiny holes are not a sign of fabric weakness as the fabric is good and sound. Other than the things mentioned, there are no other rips, tears, holes, repairs, stains, or musty odors on the dress. Gorgeous sequin decorated purse of French make. Circa 1920s. The design is of classic Art Deco/Art Nouveau motif, with medallions of irridescent clear sequins sewn into a medallion shape on one side with swirling tendrils, and the other side, a pale red star burst surrounded by intricately sewn, tiny seed beads. More beads are sewn close to the bags brass clasp, which also has a short brass chain. Lined in black satin. Exquisitely made, a wonderful collectors piece. OOAK hand made original vintage 1920s opera coat. Black silk. With pleated detail. One size- it fits a medium up to a xxl. Measurements) 46" top to bottom x 50" wide(Condition) Good condition for age. Looks to be minimally worn. If at all. There are a few minor flaws: Bottom left side of coat shows two 1/8" moth holes.And also two 1/8" moth holes that are barely visible near the seam. Bottom right side of coat shows one moth hole that is less than 1" Back of neckline needs to be re stitched in one area. Which is a 5min quick fix. Priced to sell fast! Collectible rare item. Incredible French 1920s Silk Chiffon Burnout Velvet Art Deco Rose Flapper Dress Panels Incredible 1920s silk chiffon black burnout velvet flapper dress panels in a wonderful stylized rose art deco pattern. The panels are black velvet on black silk chiffon. I believe this to be a flapper dress that was under construction but never finished. There is a sleeveless dress top and a long narrow panel stitched together in the middle. The long panel is 60" x 20" a bit irregular on the width) with the seam dividing a 37" panel and a 29" panel. There is a small hole in the shorter panel about 6" from the seam which would disappear with a few stitches in black. The top has a rounded neck and the following approximate measurements: bust(pit to pit) 40" waist 40" shoulder to hem 20" The arm and neckholes and the ... morebottom hem are not finished. There are no holes in this piece. Nor in the longer narrow panel. These pieces would make an awesome flapper dress with some some black chiffon to fill in the rest. These are not reproductions, they are all original art deco silk burnout velvet flapper dress panels with a wonderful rose motif, only from Antiquarius Antiques. An original mid 1920s French flapper dress in ivory China silk with art deco floral silk overskirt and wide collar. And floating silk chiffon panels. This gorgeous confection is made of whisper thin China silk. The bodice has chiffon shoulders and short sleeves, and then a wide silk lace collar with an art deco floral pattern. The drop waist has a wide gathered China silk cummerbund. The skirt is attached below, and is straight to lower calf length. There is a silk lace overskirt that matches the wide collar, and then the dress has two long chiffon panels on each side. Both the lace and the chiffon panels are about a foot shorter than the China silk skirt underneath. Above each chiffon panel are three China silk roses. ... moreThere is a China silk lining in the bodice, and the dress fastens with a series of hooks and eyes in two layers on the left side of the bodice and down through the cummerbund to the top of the skirt. The dress is beautifully delicate in design and material, and reminds me of something that Tatiana, the Queen of the Fairies in Shakespeare's Midsummernights Dream, would wear. The dress is very well made and beautifully finished. The measurements(approximate) are bust(pit to pit) 38" natural waist 38" drop waist 38" hips 40" shoulder to shoulder across the back 15.5" shoulder to hem 51"at the longest sleeves 5" These measurements are roughly equivalent to a US size 6. The dress is shown on my size 6 model and fits well. But loose as a flapper dress should fit, with the cummerbund fitting well at the drop waist. The condition of the dress is excellent, and the only small flaws that I could find being a tiny eraser size hole in the back of the right shirt sleeve(shown in photo 3) and a very few tiny thread pulls in the silk lace. Other than the things mentioned, there are no other rips, tears, holes, repairs, stains, or musty odors on the dress.
