Ca 1920s H M White KING 1153 Band~Orchestra Piston Valve French Horn Key F & Eb
I’m not a musician and know very little about instruments. A little research leads me to believe this horn is a circa 1920s H.M. White KING Model 1153 Band& Orchestra piston valve horn in F. With rotary change to Eb, serial number 46992. The finish is darkened. And there are soft creases in the 11” bell, with a couple other small dents elsewhere. The valves move freely. VINTAGE FRENCH FLAPPER 1920S HALF DOLL HEAD BOUDOIR DOOR STOP UNUSUAL
This is a delightful vintage hand painted composition head with metal arms doll on an old Folgers Coffee can from old estate. I fell in love with this at an antique show and I ignored all her faults. IShe looks fabulous holding my door open. The can makes it heavy and I assume this is a door stop as I used it as one. The doll is very original with old dress. Old hair and original paint. It has damage to the fabric on the dress.See photo. Her forehead has some paint loss. She could use a trip to the hair parlor. Her head has been reattached but her pearls cover that up. See photo. Vintage c 1920s Biscuits La Paon Tin Box Faux Wood Look Belgian or French
Vintage Le Paon Biscuit Tin Interesting vintage biscuit tin from Belgium or France. It’s a smallish tube with a faux wood or faux tortoise shell look and faceted sides. It appears to date to the 1920s or so. Once contained Biscuits Le Paon. The vintage wear and patina includes some small areas of wear. Some scratches and scuffs, handling marks, some soiling, some minor dents/dings, etc. Small but noticeable dent on lid. Some wear around lid edge and lid lip. A couple larger worn areas at bottom of base. Metal rim around bottom has darkened. Two very dark drip marks inside. And interior crevice is very darkened. There are a few small rust spots inside. Bottom mostly dark with patina. Tin opens and closes fine with a little coaxing, as lid fits snugly down into tin. Again. Condition issues of note: Small but noticeable dent on lid. Two dark ... moredrips marks inside and crevice is very darkened all the way around. Some small rust spots inside. Possibly some rust starting here and there elsewhere. Open/close needs a little coaxing. Approximate size of tin is about 3.75” in diameter by about 6.5” tall. The tin is empty. If you like tins. RARE 1920's French Art Deco LIMOGES Egyptian Revival Chinoiserie Porcelain Inkwell Box Original and extremely rare art deco Egyptian Revival Limoges porcelain inkwell box depicting a seated pharaoh(perhaps Tutankhamun) dressed in sphinx headdress with posed right arm and clenched fist. This iconic image. Which has been associated with Ancient Egyptian antiquity for millennia, has been interpreted here by the famous French porcelain factory, Limoges. With vivid colouring and sleek shape. This box reflects Egyptian flair with French whimsy as the colours and the designs employed are more Oriental/Chinoiserie rather than classically Egyptian. Interior of base is flat and can be used to house your favourite ink pots if you wish to use this box as an inkwell. The box is signed AF. Which stands for Andre Francois, who with Paroutaud Freres ... morestarted the La Seynie Porcelain factory in Limoges in 1895. A similar box is currently being sold for a whopping $5,200! 1920s Peach Silk Wraparound French Flapper Dress with Ruffles for Restoration Sz M click picture to enlarge An original 1920s French flapper dress. The dress is an unusual style of wraparound. It has a risqué low plunging neckline. An inner peach raw silk lining with a narrow lace hem, and an outer silk crepe layer decorated with two layers of flouncey ruffles on the sleeves and on the lower part of the skirt. Imagine the stories this dress could tell! There are also narrow ruffles along the outer edge of the wraparound, which ties inside to the lining on the right(as you wear it) and on the outside on the left with long matching silk satin ties anchored by a lovely pink satin rose and 3 green satin leaves.The dress is very well made, and the lining is sewn to the outer crepe part of the dress so that all the edges are finished. The ... moremeasurements(approximate) are bust 38" Hips 38" at the drop waist) shoulder to shoulder across the back 16" shoulder to hem 41.5" The dress is shown on my size 8 model and fits well. But could be adjusted for sizing considerably simply by moving the ties. The condition of the dress requires restoration, and this is such a wonderful dress it is certainly worthy of restoration. Both the silk lining and the silk crepe are for the most part in good strong condition. There are some minor flaws which include some tiny pinholes here and there, a small area of spec-like marks on the back right shoulder, a small mark near the crossover tie, a couple of small tears under the upper flounce at the back- all of these are pictured. However, the main flaw is the underarms, which show deterioration, even though the silk all around them is strong. I believe a good seamstress could repair the dress, perhaps by inserting a piece of matching silk under the crepe and fusing it to the older part of the dress under the arms. The dress was dry cleaned and the deterioration occurred as a result of the dry cleaning, and the rest of the dress came through with flying colors. However, th

Only found 2 in all my search for this item. French Man” maker’s mark on base. Probably made in France. Reproduction of 19th century ice water dripper for absinthe. 20” tall by 6” wide-base. Weighs approximately 6 pounds In awesome condition. The glass is clear and no scratches detected. I replaced the seal and knob. Each independent tap works. With a knob on each arm delicately controlling the flow of the water or beverage. Has solid steel filter inside to keep ice from blocking the flow of beverage. Can be taken apart for cleaning. 1920s Perfume Atomiser, Electric Fan, Art Deco, French, Paris, Vintage, Antique?
Electric Perfume Atomiser My unusual French electric perfume atomiser. I acquired it from a perfume shop some time ago where it had been on display. It is so unusual that I have been unable to find another or any similar machine despite spending a huge amount of time on the internet. A very solid and well made instrument that appears to be from the 1920s and art-deco in design. The overall height is 39 cm. with the external parts being heavily chrome plated brass. There is a canister in the top half which has an external glass level gauge. The bottom half has an electric motor connected to a four blade fan 22 cm. in diameter. Above the fan blades is an electronic solenoid that releases drops of perfume onto a felt pad just behind the fan blades and the perfume is then drawn though by the much smaller fan in the centre. The whole assembly ... moresits in a polished aluminium cradle. I suspect that this machine has had very little or no use due to its perfect condition. It is contained within a very nice purpose made carry case with a carry handle which leads me to guess that this might have been a salesman`s sample to take to prospective customers. A unique piece of art-deco history which(with the exception of the case carry handle being repaired) is totally original. A fantastic ornament and great talking piece! And now for the small print. I have not plugged this machine into the mains to try it and would strongly advise that the new owner has it tested by a qualified electrician to verify its safety should you wish to use it. For this reason I have to advise that it is being sold for display purposes only. So as to absolve my self from any liabilities. I am sure you will understand why I have to make these comments. Rare 1920s Steiff Bully Bulldog Antique Stuffed French Mohair Bulldog German Toy
Adorable 4" Steiff"Bully" Bulldog toy from the 1930's. Early 1930's. This Steiff toy was one of the top 5 most popular creations during the 1920's and is still sought after today. Fashioned after a French bulldog, BULLY" is sitting. Head is jointed and dog is made from black and tan/white mohair. His face and muzzle area are tan velvet. He has very large brown and black glass eyes and his nose is embroidered. The mouth is sewn to give him a jowl. He still wears his original and traditional horsehair collar, which knots under his chin. The horsehair collar indicated the regal nature of the wearer and was a typical accessory of the 1920's. There would have been a small bell attached to the collar originally but that is missing here. Bully's embroidered nose is scuffed and missing threads and his left ... moreear is loose at the bottom along the seam. There is some mohair missing as is typical of his age but not bad and mostly a patch on his chest and around the seam on top of his back near his head and under his right leg. NO tag. Original old beautiful petite antique French carved walnut stand or chest which dates to the period 1920-1030. The tiny stand is remarkably sturdy despite its delicate appearance. The finish appears to be all-original. And in excellent condition given the age. The drawers show nice dovetailing. The stand is ALL WOOD, made when furniture was made by cabinetmakers. No cheap particle board here! Measurements are 12" x 11" x 29" high. The original marble insert was unfortunately broken, but could easily be replaced. See photos for detail. Fantastic pair of matching French side tables from the 1920's. Purchased recently from an antique auction house these tables are exquisite. Being antiques. The tables have a few minor flaws and at least one repair but considering they are almost 100 years old, the condition is relatively excellent. No structural problems or major cosmetic issues. 1920s French Burlesque Pink Silk Irish Crochet Slip Dress Mint Teddy Antique
Gorgeous antique circa 1920s french pink silk slip/ dress. Fabulous quality and near mint condition. Main body is composed of fantastically well preserved sheer pink silk. Collar. Shoulders and top of chest is a soft Irish crochet lace with a repeating floral diamond motif. The lace is finished on the collar and arms with a scalloped lace edge interwoven with adjustable pink ribbon. Collar ribbon finishes on back and may be tied in a bow. The bottom hem of the nighty finishes in a scalloped Irish crochet floral geometric pattern. Three opalescent mother of pearl buttons close up the"peek-a-boo" bottom at the crotch. Fabulous and very rare piece of exceptional male and quality. There are several very minor spots or stains in the pink silk. But they are so minimal as to be barely noticeable. This is an 11 inch high cardboard display case 6 1/2 inches wide with a pocket holding 6 packages of SANO SHAMPOOING. The writing is in French and German and the display was probably made in the 1920s- 1930s. The lithography is brilliant and the color is still sharp. With a 1920s"flapper" shown. The 6 packages in the display are unopened and still contain the original product. The cardboard display is weak and there is tape in the back. Each solid perfume container is painted Bakelite measuring 3/16” wide 3/4” high. The following solid perfumes are: Oeillet Malmaison(1923) Three flowers on white; Tabatchin- Yellow with Red Flowers) Le Baiser Du Faune(1928) Fawn Woman on Blue) Calendal(1929) Purple and Blue Flora around base and drum) 12- Smoking Spanish Woman on Red Pot; 23 Mountains. Stream, bridge, tower(Tout Les Alpes Scent) 5- Blue floral spray with green leaves on pink. All contain their original solid perfume which is quite strong. The containers are Bakelite and the painting is in very good condition with slight paint loss on some of them, but great overall design and execution. I think it is silver plated and there is a mark impressed in to the back that looks like"PWD" The lid vignette carries a beautiful chateau with its garden and pathway. The inner still has the metal hoop and mesh( and powder! The picture of the reverse side shows a yellow mark.this is not missing plate it looks the the remains of a price ticket and it will remove with polishing.
