With scenes of lovely flowers, birds of paradise, butterflies and dragons. The lid has a phoenix with clouds, in a circular border. This piece is in great overall condition. The hinge is tight and the box closes securely. The repousse is all very crisp. The upper border on the left side of the lid. Underneath the facing dragon is a brick pattern that differs from the floral pattern on the three other sides. This is not a repair. We are sure this is the original patterning, but we do not know why it was chosen. There are no dents, no dings, no breaks, no problems whatsoever. There is a Chinese character hallmark on the underside. The box's dimensions are 5 x 3.5 x 3 inches tall. This piece weighs 9.4 ounces or 268 grams. Good luck and bid with confidence.
