Old Unusual Cast Iron Dish w/ Farm Boy Teasing Dog & Cat w/ Crayfish
Approx. 6 1/4" x 4 7/8" This unique decorative cast iron dish has wonderful detail and subject matter. A farm boy holds a crayfish in one hand and a dog in the other. A cat looks on from underneath. There is a bucket in the background and straw below. It is unmarked as to the maker but it is guaranteed to be old- at least 1930s. The bottom has a hint of gold paint, but the surface of the dish has lost all of its paint. It is not rusted, but is brown in color. The casting is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. vintage CAMBRIDGE glass compote. I think this color combination is called TOMATO, it's very unusual. looks like it was made in a three piece mold. i thought the yellow might be a variation of the vaseline glass/ uranium glass, but instead under the black light the red color showed as an unusual orange, as shown in a picture below. measurements- 6 7/8" high. 9 3/8" wide, the foot is 4 1/8" wide. condition- excellent undamaged but i do see a couple scratches to the interior of the bowl. I took close up pictures of both. no chips cracks hairlines etc, i do see plenty of trapped bubbles in the glass and manufacturing variations but a very good example of a hard to find item. thanks for looking- HAPPY BIDDING! This is an unusual Austrian high grade.935 Silver& Enamel Compact. The top cover has beautiful pierced silver floral work inset with a wonderful exotic bird of paradise in gorgeous enamel work. Beneath this appears to be a colourful fabric insert which might be petit point. The clasps and hinge are in good order. Opening to reveal a nice clean interior which retain a very light gilt finish- the bevelled mirror is in good condition showing only feint signs of aging with no cracks or chips to the glass. The base is black enamel in very good condition only minor surface marks. The interior of the box contains three art deco mirrored/timber levels that each hold 11 cigarettes x 3 rows– equals storage for 33 cigarettes. This is an Absolutely Beautiful Antique Hand Painted Dish or Plate from the Victorian Era hand blown of a frosted milk glass with pontil on back. It has Beautiful Hand Painted flowers on the front of Violets in Whites and Yellow with Green Leaf and Stems. This Beautifully Unusual dish is almost 8" hand blown of a frosted milk glass with an off shape as it appears to have been freeblown. The base has a protruding circle in the center that looks to be where it was blown from and plugged. What a Lovely Unusual piece of the past that would surely bring the Victorian feel to your home. Unusual Bordallo Pinheiro Creamer and Lidded Sugar Bowl BLUE Shamrocks Basket
Unusual vintage creamer and sugar set from the well known Portuguese pottery. Bordally Pinheiro. I love, love, love this set. The background is a creamy white basketweave pattern and then there are blue shamrocks applied and fired to incorporate the designe. The lid to the sugar jar has a raised shamrock as the handle. The handles on the bottom of the sugar bowl and on the creamer are designed to look like wrapped twigs. But the whimsical part is that the shamrocks and handles are done is a very pleasing blue, not quite navy but a dark bluish-gray color. What a great set for the French blue and white kitchen, to go with your earthenware everyday dishes, to complement your Lenox ivory china, etc. etc. The creamer is about 3.25" tall and about 4.75" from handle to lip of the spout. The sugar bowl is about 4.5" tall to the top ... moreof the lid's shamrock and about 5" from handle to handle. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. The bottom of each shows the typical minor scuffing from being moved around on the table. Both are stamped on the bottom as shown in the photos. This beautiful berry bowl and matching underplate is marked Crown Ducal. Made in England. This dates from the 1930s when chintzware was at it's heyday! This is the Ivory Chintz pattern with pretty roses in two colors and pretty Birds of Paradise. The bowl is slightly smaller in diameter than the underplate. Which measures approx. 10' in diameter. The underplate is excellent and has the full Crown Ducal mark, please see pictures. The berry bowl with it's holes to drain fresh berries, has a hairline that measures ... moreapprox 1' seen on the back. There is another line next to that which isn't a crack but the crazing has aligned itself there. There is a teeny tiny time of manufacture glaze pop, also on the back but on the rim and I believe the pop is what caused the crazing and the hairline. Please see picture below, but note the tiny little pop doesn't show. I don't think this detracts from this beautiful set whatsoever. Antique EAPG Unusual Yellow Color Diamond Pattern Jar
I get most of my items at estate auctions and sell them in an"as found" condition. I do no repairs. Alterations and very little cleaning. This is done in the belief that most buyers prefer to receive them as original as possible. Because the items I sell can come from anywhere. I can't guarantee they all come from smoke free environments. DESCRIPTION: This is a very old piece of glass and does show some light wear but no chips or other damage. The glass has a pale"Vaseline" appearance but I don't think it's Vaseline glass. It has an upper inner lip which makes me think it probably once had a lid and is possibly a sugar bowl. It also may be a jelly/jam jar. Like almost all antique glass of this type it does have irregularities and imperfections in the glass. It is about 3 3/8" in height. UNUSUAL BOWL with handle and YELLOW GLASS lid -antique, vintage, lovely
I am offering this unusual vintage glass bowl with a beautiful yellow glass lid. I am not a glass expert and do not know what type this is. I can guess it is fairly old from looking at the thickness of the glass itself. It is in very nice condition one tiny chip on the bowl and very slight one on the lid. It measures 5 inches across the top of the bowl and almost 2 inches tall. It appears to be about 1/4 inch in thickness. It looks like something that might be a type of Pyrex but I wouldn't want to test its oven tolerance. It's really a beauty. It must be fairly uncommon as I was unable to type it from anything on Ebay. If you purchase it after April 2 I will be unable to mail until after April 12. Thank you for your interest.
