LG 14K ANTIQUE/ESTATE MULTI SAPPHIRES & DIAMOND UNUSUAL RING
This is a large 14K yellow gold unusual ring with multisapphires and 4.04ct. diamonds. The stones are well set and the setting is a unique oblong design with 4 sapphires on 2 sides and a larger sapphire set in the middle of the ring for a total of 9 sapphires! The 4 diamonds are set 2 above and 2 below the large oblong sapphire. The setting is detailed and unusual and has a rich feeling to it. The ring measures 20mm long and 15mm wide and 12mm tall! It's a size 7 1/2. But could be resized if necessary. It weighs 8 grams and is stamped 14K inside the shank. Our home is smoke free and kittty free. This ring will be bubble-wrapped and insured before being sent from our home to yours.

Japanese Order of the Sacred Treasure. 3rd Class Neck badge of the highest quality. Silver. Gilt and enamels. This badge has been modified from the standard neck badge suspension. It has been mounted to a buckle suspension, also of the highest quality jeweller's work. It is set so that the buckle is at an angle to accomodate a belt worn diagonally so that the badge sits in the correcect position. Obviously, it has been made to be worn on the shoulder strap on an officer's belt. The officer that had this badge modified must have also had the Order of the Rising Sun and the Order of the Golden Kite, also in the 3rd or a higher class. As three neck badges would not sit well, I believe this badge was made so the Order of the Sacred Treasure could be worn on the shoulder strap, and would be in it's correct position as the third order ... morein the neck position. The badge itself is the finest example I have ever seen, better than the average issue. The buckle mounting is superb work, the badge is held in place by prongs, set just like a diamond would be. The mount is entirely made of silver. Excellent condition.

Most Unusual Vintage Carved Butterscotch Bakelite Bangle Ever! Carved Daisies
Please be patient and read the entire description for your own benefit. O ffered is this vintage carved butterscotch Bakelite bangle bracelet. This measures 3 1/8" in diameter with a generous 2 5/8" opening and is 3/4" wide. Heavily carved daisies span all of the way around the bracelet. The interior is lined with a brass band. Enameled black accents have been added to give a very aged look. First and foremost: I have tested this piece for content all day long. Literally. Over and over. The test results yield shades of yellow from nearly orange to very light yellow. My husband and I both felt that the piece was either composed of copal or good old plastic; this is not the case. Does this not remind you of a typical 1970's-1980's Pier One Imports knock off bracelet? I sure thought the piece was just a retro piece of ... moreplastic. Especially with the interior brass band. But(it is not! Is this possibly a modern artisan piece re-purposed from old Bakelite? I see no markings. The yellow test results are not a result of dirt or dye; this is truly Bakelite. The best place to test this piece is along the edges. If you can. Use your nail to gently lift the brass band. The best yellow will yield right under the band. Now, be careful not to rub the brass and get a nice black streak as I did! Ha! Given the interior brass band or lining, tapping this against another object won't give a"tinking" sound. Hot water testing has never done a thing for anyone in our house. Maybe you have a decent nose. I did not use commercial 409 brand cleaner; I never, ever get decent results with 409. Unusual Black Bakelite & Branch Coral Large Brooch Pin
This wonderful vintage bakelite& branch coral brooch is 4 1/2" long and shaped like a leaf. There are holes in the brooch and the branch coral pieces are sewn onto the brooch through them. The bakelite has leaf veins carved in one edge& the bakelite is about 3/8" thick. The bakelite has the very shiny finish(which is perfect) and doesn't test with scrubbing bubbles; however. I held it carefully under barely running hot water& the pin does smell like bakelite. Been buying/selling vtg clothes& jewelry for nearly 50 years& I know that smell. 4 cast iron 5 inch wheels hit miss engine industrial cart Unusual Hub Design
A set of 4 cast iron wheels that were removed from a vintage platform scale. The wheels have an unusual split hub design. The wheels were bolted to the platform scale frame and the hub halves touched each other which allowed the wheels to rotate around them. The threads on the bolts do have some damage. The bolts can be replaced or a continues axle can be used. The wheels are 5 inches in diameter and the face of the wheel is 7/8 inch. The hole in the hubs are apr. 9/16 of an inch. The parts were given a basic cleaning to look for any damage. Cracks, etc. None were found. Will need further cleaning. Surface rust. Shipping will be 12.00 for a medium priority flat rate box. This violin is from an estate collection. Untouched for many many years. It has no label, but we believe that it was professionally made in the mid 1800's or earlier. It measures 19" long overall, with 7 wide x 12" long back(not including button) It features figured wood back and ribs, with dark varnish. The scroll is well carved, with what appears to be an extra tuning peg hole for an additonal string(see images) It has an ebony finger board, with unusual placement for nut. The"f-holes" are uniquely shaped(see images) The neck is very very short, and the tail piece is very very long, with very little room for normal bowing making us wonder if it is possibly designed for pizzcato only. It has purfling on the top, but none on the back. It displays nicely. Old Roth case included. No bow. Condition: As-found/ not played ... morein many years. Old varnish, with overall wear to edges. No sound post. No nut. The top is loose at the ribs near the neck(old glue/ see images) Case is in rough condition with overall wear, but will provide good protection in shipping. VERY UNUSUAL OLD LIKE TRENCH ART HAND MADE BRASS GOLD COLOR WOVEN WIRE HATPIN
This hatpin is 5" long and appears to be hand made by weaving strands of brass wire together. I do not know if it might be some kind of trench art or not. I was told it was possible. I do not think it is copper because it was tarnished and I cleaned it up a bit with a polishing cloth. There are no markings on it. It is 1" across at the head. It might have been more balloon shaped and I imagine that you could puff it up a bit if you knew how to do it. I just loved it because it was obviously hand made by someone with a steady hand and a lot of patience. I am going to be listing many hatpins from my collection. They have been in the china cupboard for decades and my children are not interested in them. I do not know the rules for rating hatpins. WW 1 Hallmarked Gold Sports Medal - Unusual & quite rare collecter's piece.
History: During 1914 to 1920. Primarily during the First World War(The Great War” or the“War to end all Wars” Seaford Camp in Sussex, England was a Canadian Training Area that provided accommodation for Reserve Battalions and served as the Headquarters of the Canadian Engineers Training Centre and the Canadian Machine Gun Depot. At the end of the war troops were assembled at Seaford prior to their return to Canada and demobilization. The Canadian Seaford Athletic Association(CSAA) was formed to encourage the troops to play sports(mostly baseball. It seems) in order to keep them fit, both before being shipped off to the front and after their tour, before being returned to Canada. Medals(or medallions) were awarded to those who did particularly well. Though it is unclear just what level of acheivement was required. The medals were made by Vaughtons ... moreLtd, in Birmingham– a firm established in 1819 and which is still in business, today– though their current staff were unable to provide any information about this particular medal. Description: The medal is approximately 25mm in diameter. 2mm thick and weighs about 10.5 grams(or 0.34 troy ounces) The back is engraved“Lt. W.A.R. Hadley– 1918” The various hallmarks indicated that the medal is 9 carat gold. It is in a maroon leather covered. Latched, presentation case, on a blue velvet field. The top-cover reads: CANADIAN SEAFORD ATHLETIC ASSOC'N. 1918" Condition: While the leather shows some wear. The case is, overall, in pretty good condition, given that it is now 95 years old. Both the hinge and the latch function perfectly. The medal is in quite good condition, with very few scratches, having been kept in it's case, for most of it's life. It would appear that some of the more serious marks are the scribed lines made by the engraver! The photos are of the actual medal& case on offer; so you can see the condition for yourself. Vintage. Large, Decorative, Copper Creel Fly Fishing Fish Basket I found this unusual. Large copper basket at an estate sale. I’ve spent quite a bit of time on the internet and have been unable to find anything even remotely like it. According to the previous owner, the basket is at least 60 years old. The basket has been crafted to look like a real fisherman’s Creel style fishing basket(except that there is not a hole in the top) The lid is hinged and has a leather tab on the front edge that closes over a copper screw. The basket has an adjustable leather strap and 2 copper hooks on the back which I assume are meant for displaying the piece on a wall or door(or on a fence outdoors? The basket is made completely out of copper(except for the leather strap; the top. Molded panel with the fish on it; and the acorns on the front) The copper strips ... morehave been woven just like the pieces of a real basket. The copper leaves are affixed to the basket with copper? wire. The top piece under the fish and the bottom panel of the basket are made of sheets of copper. Not sure what the Acorns& Fish Panel on the top of the basket are made out of- it’s not plastic and it’s not pottery. The top panel looks like it might be breakable. But I am not sure. The panel has been hand painted, and the fish is molded so that it has a“3-D” effect. The acorns are affixed to the basket with wires. The top fish panel appears to be glued on to the copper piece that is the hinged lid. The basket measures 12” x 9 ½” x 6 ¾” the leather strap is approximately 32” long and is ¾” wide. And has a wavy pattern on it. The basket weighs 4 pounds, 3 ounces. Basket would work well as a decorative item and or for storing fishing related items. Unusual Old Michigan Indian Birchbark Basket w/ Quills, Handle, & Recessed Foot
Up for auction is an unusual and quite large birchbark and quillwork basket made by a talented Native American artist from one of the Great Lakes Indian tribes. It is an older item- I would date it around 1930. This artifact is constructed of birchbark. And the sides are accented with a floral pattern made of white porcupine quills. Take a look at the construction on this basket. The artist cut the birchbark in geometric shapes to form a recessed"foot" for the basket to rest on, and the base rests at the narrow part of the basket's side. All of the rims(and there are a lot of rims throughout) are made of sweetgrass bound with the customary black thread binding. The rims on the handle are also lined in sweetgrass. This beautifully crafted and unusual old basket will make an outstanding addition to someone's collection. The ... morebasket. As noted, is a nice largish size. It measures 6" x 4" across at the rim, 3¾" deep, and 6½" tall to the top of the rounded handle. The handle is a bit warped. There's also damage to the quills on the sides with one side missing all of its quills, but this is the extent of the damage. I have taken photos of all sides, and as you can see, this unique artifact has an awesome display quality and is really well made.
