Vintage Sheridan Silverplate Paul Revere Pedestal / Footed Large Bowl 12” by 6”
I have here a Vintage Sheridan Silverplate Paul Revere Pedestal/ Footed Style Large 12” by 6” Bowl. This very large bowl measures 12” in diameter at the top and 6 ½” at its pedestal bottom. It stands some 6” high. It is a BIG Silver Paul Revere Bowl(which is why the shipping is so high. It weighs A LOT! My mother gave me this bowl and it is just too big for my small New York City apartment! As you can see from the pictures. It is VERY TARNSIHED( dusty) but I think with a good polishing it would look great! I don’t think it was every really used for anything except display. My mother had it sitting on top of a china closet for 20 years which is why it is so tarnished and dusty. On the very bottom it says“Sheridan Silverplated” with the Sheridan Crown. I have up for sale a beautiful vintage Derby Silver Co Art Nouveau 9-3/4" tall Silverplate Compote Pedestal Bowl. The bowl is stamped with patent date June 14.1904 and stamp number 1281. The bottom stamp is shown upclose in pic#4. It is in Excellent Condition- no damages- any wear is normal and most minor. There is some light surface tarnish and the interior has tarnish and toning as shown in pic#6. Antique Silverplate Pedestal Centerpiece Bowl (Rogers?)
This auction offers a silver plated centerpiece fruit bowl obtained from a Hartford. Connecticut estate. This bowl is perfectly formed for making beautiful arrangements of fruit. This item measures approximately 10" in diameter and 7" tall and has a handle. It depicts hummingbirds and bees and displays a floral motif resembling canterbury bells. There is a finely designed edging. I am unclear as to the maker as the signature is not clear, however an RO can be seen along with the hallmark of a fisted hand with electricity with the words triple plated. Numbered 1633. See photos(I can assume Rogers/International Silver as Meriden, CT is close to Hartford, CT) I was told that the owner had this bowl resilvered in the 1960's and that appears to be true as there are the initials H/D etched close by the original signature. Striking silverplate repousse pedestal bowl by Barbour Silver Co/International. Model number 3803. So marked on reverse. Likely dates from the 1920s. Diameter of top rim: almost 8.25 inches. Diameter of pedestal base: 5 inches. Overall height about 2.5 inches. Seems taller. Exterior is adorned with Dutch-themed repousse scenes in scrolled cartouches. They are quite precisely detailed: folks are strolling. Playing the violin, smoking a pipe, carrying a closed umbrella. Houses, trees, bridges and an occasional windmill are in the background. Condition: minor utensilwear to interior. Bowl is in the round. No denting to base rim. Two small dimples to interior. Plate in excellent shape-has not been polished into oblivion. Pay no attention to the colors on the repousse-they are reflections.
