All three feet lay perfectly flat. There is great detailing on this, typical of the genius of Tufts, on the same level as Tiffany and other quality designers. It is in great shape with slight wear in the center, but overall good patina. There is some extra solder on the edge (see last two pictures). The manufacturers mark is “James W. Tufts, Boston, #4385”. It definitely needs a good polish! I paid $300 for this piece and have enjoyed it for many years.

Beautiful 11 inch Adelphi fancy bowl/centerpiece. Adorned with Grapes and Grape leaves encompassing around the entire bowl. This is so unique from the grape pattern to the swirl on the inside of the bowl this is truly different from anything that I have seen. I have not been able to find out the age but from information I have found about Adelphi they were only in business from 1890-1915. So. It is old. Please look at all the pictures! Elegant Antique Epergne/Centerpiece Sheffield Silver Plate& Crystal 1810-1820s Presented is an elegant centerpiece or epergne. It is old Sheffield silver fused plate with the original cut glass or crystal bowl. The stand is nicely decorated with a gadrooned detail at the base of the stand. Handsome paw feet, and ornamental flourishes. The whole piece is very well done! The glass is beautifully hand cut. It is decorated with diamond points and a lovely star burst design. The glass bowl is a good weight. It fits the silver plate framework perfectly. And we have no doubt that this is the original glass. The glass bowl has a good capacity and it is fairly deep(2 ½ inches) The epergne is very good quality. It has been professionally cleaned. Please scroll down to see our photographs. This great piece is from between 1810 and the 1820s. ... moreSo it is a good age! There are signs of soldering or reinforcements made over the years. The copper is showing through in a few places. But this does not detract from its regal appearance. There are no dents, no dings, and no problems of any kind. There are a few chips or flakes to the teeth of the glass bowl. But we don't feel any of the chips to the teeth are consequential. Overall it is in very good condition for being 200 years old. These are three very pretty little silver plate bowls that would be great for crafts or small centerpieces. The one on the left in the photo is a Reed& Barton Paul Revere miniature and has a top diameter of 3 inches and 1 3/4 inches tall. The one on the right is a Cheshire silver plate with a top diameter of 3 inches. It stands a bit taller at 2 1/8 inches. The one in the middle is my favorite. Antique Silver Plate Centerpiece with Three Rams Heads and Feet. This odd item has a triangular base and feet On top of the base are three ram's heads. Each supported by legs and hooves with garlands. The heads have garlands of roses between them. Note: As a farm veterinarian. I can say that the feet are very pretty but not particularly goatlike. To my eye, they look like a horse's hoof with a line down the center. I can imagine the artist's wife smacking her silversmith husband upside the head and saying, What are you thinking? Goats have cloven feet! And the artist, fearful of another swat, tried to fix the problem. On top is a circular flat bowl. So I would suppose this is a candy dish of sorts. At the very bottom are three silverplate screws holding it together. On the bottom of the base are the initials G.S. and what looks ... morelike an eye underneath a mitten and within an oval Despite spending a considerable amount of time with Dr. Google. I have no idea who G.S. is, or why there is an eye and a mitten on the base. Perhaps it isn't a mitten. There is some pitting in the bowl- I have tried to show this in the photos The rest of the item is in very nice condition. And will probably look even nicer with some cleaning. The trumpet vase stands 9.5 inches tall and 5.75 inches wide at the top. Antique Silver plate centerpiece bowl with swans and lions
This is a very nice Victorian silver plate centerpiece bowl that has swans with extended wings on each end and lions on the sides. There are chain swags between the swans and the lions. The bowl is 12 1/8 inches long. 7 7/8 inches wide and 6 ½ inches high to the top of the swans. The bowl is pierced near the top edge. The piece is marked with 3889 and a cross within a circle. We do not know the maker, but believe it is likely English and dates to the late 19 th century. There are some minor flaws including a tiny bit of pitting in the center. The bottom has a small dent.
