Your holiday table will look even more festive with the addition of this beautiful. Vintage silverplate, three footed serving bowl with lid. It is stamped"Countess International Silver Company 6262" on the bottom. It measures 11 1/2" in diameter. The diameter of the well is 8" It stands 3" high, not including the lid. It is about 6" high with the lid, but not including the handle. Add another 2" for the ornate handle. There are some minor scratches and two small dings on the lid. There is no liner. A good polishing will add to its shine.

INTERNATIONAL SILVER Vintage Countess Retired Pattern Hexagonal Centerpiece Silverplate Hollowware Pedestal Bowl This item is a gorgeous vintage silverplate hollowware pedestal centerpiece bowl in the discontinued Countess# 232 pattern by International Silver. This bowl is a substantial piece for display or use as a centerpiece. The last photo shows the bowl filled with some beaded fruit that I have listed as a separate item on eBay and that picture was taken before I polished the bowl. The top border of the bowl is a six-sided hexagonal shape with raised repousee pattern of flowers. Leaves and scrolls. The sides of the bowl are scalloped down to a flat bottom with an engraved laurel type wreath design in the center. This lovely centerpiece bowl measures 6 1/8” high by 11 3/8” across point to point and 10 7/8” across side to side on the hexagonal ... morerim. The pedestal measures 4 13/16” across the base and is 3 15/16” tall. There are no maker’s marks on this piece. The plating is in good condition with a few minor blemishes and hairline surface scratches from years of gentle use. There are some dark spots on the inside of the pedestal and on the underside of the bowl again on the inside of the pedestal. I have tried to show these blemishes in the photos. Please take the pictures as a part of the description of this piece. In researching this bowl. I found a website that offers replacement pieces for many items that had two of this same bowl selling for $ 89.95 and showing that it had been $ 139.95. And there is one listed on eBay that is discounted in the mid-$ 70 s. The shipping cost of this piece includes a fee for shipping insurance.
