This listing is for a Vintage. Wilcox, International Silver, Silverplate Double Vegetable Serving Bowl in the Spring Garden pattern. The Spring Garden was introduced in 1949 as a flatware pattern and due to it's popularity was released in a full Hollowware line. The pattern features a smooth rim with a wonderful floral pattern on the handles. The piece was likely produced in the 1950's. The bottom is marked"Wilcox International Silver 7112" and with the International"IS" in squares trademark. The pattern is very defined yet simple making it a great piece with near any silver serving set. The piece measures 12" by 8" on the bottom bowl. 1 1/2" high, 9 3/8" by 6 1/2" on the top bowl, 1 1/2" high and weighs 2 lbs together. This is a beautiful set with no dents. This is a gorgeous silver plate double vegetable bowl by Wallace Silver. La Reine# 1187 This piece is in amazing condition. With an EXTREMELY MINOR dimple on the lid. See pic. 9. I tried many times to capture the image. IT IS SO MINOR, approx 1/32 in. I had a very hard time, but wanted you to be aware. Other than that. And the fact that it needs a better cleaning and buffing, it's near perfect. Original label is intact and the piece is stamped W. Wallace under that and the pattern# 1187 under that. The inside of the dishes measure 9x6-1/2. overall measurements are 11-3/4x8-3/4& 3-1/2in. high. This exact item. Pre-owned condition sells for $ 119.00 on other internet sights. Unknown Maker Silverplate Double Serving Vegetable Bowl I believe this is unmarked Sheffield; during my research I found something similar and it was unsigned. However I cannot guarantee this to be Sheffield. It is beautifully detailed and great condition for its age. Bottom piece has cluster of roses around the outer rim; the top has the same cluster of roses around top which would be the bottom rim if using as a bowl. These same roses decorate both handles where they are attached to the bowl. Both pieces serve as bowls and both together are approx. 2 1/2" deep; individually top is 1 1/2" deep x 11" long x 8" wide(Oval) ~ Bottom is 12" long x 8 7/8" wide(oval) x 1 1/2" deep.
