Heavily decorated with hand punched floral swags with bows around the outside of the bowl and having two open cartouche on either side the top finished with a good heavy roped edge and the inside being gilded. It stands on a round and decorated stepped foot which is weighted to make it more stable and stand firm when in use. The condition is very good with no dents or damage that I can see. The silver plating is still good with only a few scratches and specs missing all consistent with it's age. Be ready for any occasion with this versatile bowl. It can be used as a punch bowl. A champagne cooler, a wine cooler or a fantastic fruit bowl. The rim is perfectly round and t here are no dents or loss of silver plating. This is a vintage piece. So please, like with any used vintage piece expect light scratches and light tarnish. WALLACE Silverplate Punch Bowl on Low Pedestal/ Beverage Cooler with 12 Cups& Ladle. Simple elegance describes this set. It was never used. I unwrapped 9 of the cups for the first time. There are some fine scratches here& there with the worst at the bottom/ inside of the bowl- pic#s 8- 11. Any signs of wear were from handling from the estate liquidation at auction. Bowl and all 12 cups are stamped WALLACE. I do not think the ladle is Wallace as it is not stamped with any hallmark. It did, however come with the set. The cups are polished silverplate. In some of the photos, they appear to have rings- they do not. That is just interesting"feedback" from the silverplate shine and flash combination. The bowl stands 8 7/8" tall, has a rim diameter of 14" base diameter of 7" Each cup stands 2 1/4" tall, has ... morea rim diameter of 3 3/8" base diameter of 2" and holds 8 oz. We also have the matching under plate on auction which is marked with the makers mark. The punch bowl is very large with a 44 plus cup capacity. It stands 8.25 inches ... moretall and is 17 inches wide. There are no dark stains or pitting in the bottom of the bowl and no dents. The silver plate is shiny and the over sized grape clusters show beautiful patina and contrast. This is a very nice punch bowl but could also be used as a champagne or wine cooler and could easily hold 3 or 4 bottles. We will combine shipping when ever possible. Please remember that our items are mostly Victorian and always used. Never new or in new condition. They have sat on many tables, held by many loving hands and lived an eventful life. It has recently been polished although it could use a little extra elbow grease. There are a few minor pits in the inside bottom. They are not deep just a layer or two. It is hard to capture on camera well because of the glare and location and are not noticeable with ice and bottles inside the bowl.
