Four separate stacks with this bookcase-a graduated unit with 3 different sizes. Note the top unit has a leaded glass door. Original labels on the interior and nice leopard bands on the sides. Super finish which is smooth and even. The interior height of the units is 13.5. 11.5, and two which are 9.5. The overall size of the piece is 34 wide, 12 deep, and 57.5 high. I don't think you will find a nicer four stack unit. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. It is typical to the victorian era and is made from a lovely pine. The bookcase is in its original finish which is in good condition or alternatively this item could be stripped and waxed. The bookcase would look well in both an old or modern property filled with many books almost in any downstairs room. The bookcase is in two pieces with the bottom section standing on a square plinth supporting the main section where there are two large doors. These doors have two panels and a shelf behind for storage. The top sits neatly upon the base and is slightly set back having two large glazed doors. The ... moredoors have a lovely beaded section with the most wonderful stain glass corners to both doors. The glass is a red and yellow colour. The top has a standard graduated cornice and behind the doors there is room for storage. Our restorer will get a key sorted for the doors to lock. The height is 205cm. ~ Bookcase Made Of The Oak From HMS Foudroyant- Lord Horatio Nelsons Flagship 1799-1801 ~ This oak open revolving bookcase. Was manufactured from the oak and copper from HMS Foudroyant, Nelson's flagship from the 6th of June 1799 until the end of June 1801. The bookcase was produced by Goodall of Manchester. And bears an inscribed copper plaque to top stating its source using salved materials. The bookcase has 3 shelves and rotates on a spindle. ~ Dimensions ~ The piece has a height 29 inches(73.5cm) And measures 20.5 inches by 20.5 inches(52cm) ~ Condition ~ There is a crack to the top of the piece. Some of the boards are slightly worn by age, it revolves with a bit of play but the piece appears to be in otherwise good condition. ~ HMS Foudroyant ~ HMS Foudroyant was an 80-gun third rate of the Royal Navy. One of only two British-built ... more80-gun ships of the period(the other was HMS Caesar(1793) Foudroyant was built at Plymouth Dockyard and launched on 31 March 1798.Note 1] Foudroyant served Nelson as his flagship from 6 June 1799 until the end of June 1801. Foudroyant had a long and successful career. And although she was not involved in any major fleet action, she did provide invaluable service to numerous admirals throughout her 17 years on active service. In her last years she was used as a boy's training vessel. In June 1897 she was towed to Blackpool. On 16 June 1897 during a violent storm. She parted a cable and dragging the remaining anchor, went ashore on Blackpool Sands, damaging Blackpool North Pier in the process. The Blackpool lifeboat was able to rescue all 27 of her crew. Antica Salsiera in Porcellana bianca, Primi 900
Elegante Salsiera in fine Porcellana bianca presumibilmente di fattura italiana e databile nei primi anni del 900. Come spesso si riscontra per gli oggetti d'uso. Ma anche in considerazione dell'ètà dell'oggetto, la Salsiera non presenta marchi di alcun genere, ma come accennato, abbiamo motivo di credere che si tratti di manifattura italiana. L'oggetto si compone di due elementi, una ciotola ed un coperchio, misura circa 17 centimetri di diametro per un altezza di 11 centimetri. Come si evince dalle foto, la Salsiera è conservata in ottimo stato ad eccezione di una piccola sbeccatura ai margini del bordo esterno. This is a gorgeous case piece furniture that has never been restored; there are imperfections so it not for one who is meticulous regarding their pieces(read condition below and view all photos) Decorative reed-n-tie molding on the frames and ribbon archery bow and arrow motif on the bottom of the doors. Roundels molding place on the corners of the case piece, supported by turdor legs. It will come in pieces and requires assembling, base, side panels, pair of doors, top and two backboards. Another beautiful piece of Italian Renaissance furniture. This is over 100 years old and in amazing condition for the age. The original owner of this piece purchased it in Italy. This piece is a two drawer trestle style library table and it comes with two tooled leather chairs. It stands 30.5" high. Has a length of 63.5" and a width of 31 7/8" The chairs have a back height of 41.25" and the seat height is 20" This is constructed from oak and other woods. The top of the table is a thin piece of wood with framing around and underneath it. The edge is finished with a detailed skirt molding all the way around. The trestle style legs are carved with great detail and end at a nicely carved claw foot on each side. The center board is also carved. Vintage antique MATCHING pair quartered oak sliding door Danner bookcases-14555
I have sold a lot of Danner sliding door bookcases over the years but this is the first time I have ever had a matching pair of 3 stack cases. I believe these quartersawn oak cases have been together since leaving the factory in in Ohio in the early part of the 20th century. In super original condition-we have carefully waxed each section and they look truly beautiful with a smooth and even finish. All twelve of the sliding doors operate easily and all have their original(wavy) glass. Note the beading work along the top of each case. They all also contain their original adjustable oak shelves. Up for auction is a beautiful Victorian era black lacquered wood sliding book stand. This is a great piece and have never seen one similar. It is made of hardwood and beautifully lacquered in black and embellished with gold detailing and painted on each end are Lily of the Valley flowers. This beautiful little Victorian book rack used to belong to my grandmother who died back in 1966 and has sat in storage in my parents garage not seeing the light of day for almost 47 years. Check the photos closely for there is some crazing to the lacquer which is typical and one side where the hinges are screwed to the end.
