The piece measures 72” long, 14” deep, and 54” tall. The three doors each measure 19.75” x 48” and there are 12 adjustable shelves measuring approximately 10.75” x 22.75” Overall this piece is in excellent condition. With only a few minor chips along the outer edges. 1800 curved glass bookcase / inlaid marketry drop front secretary desk unusual
hello. i have a nice old antique drop front secretary. the wood would seem to be mahogany. And some mahogany veneer. marketry front from an estate sale. Just down the road, i will tell you all that i know about it. a bit of damage. But it appears to have it all. and the damage is all minor) nice beveled mirror& shelf. a lead glass top section( missing an inside shelf) a curved glass door on the left( bookshelf) side. the glass is wavy and i am certain it is original. a drop front secretary( a bit of veneer loss on the surface) but look at the inlay in the center. original pigeon holes inside of the desk( one drawer is missing a tiny brass knob inside) the drawer directly beneath the desk is burl wood and it has a serpentine( curved) front. the other 3 drawers. 2 bottom and the small one over the desk are flat front) i do not have a 2 ... moredollar key that fits. also 2 of the original locks are missing the bookcase shelves are curved front. But i think perhaps the pulls are not original. a spot of white paint on the frame of the door is easily removed. and 2 bits of veneer to replace on the desk front. it had casters on the bottom, but they are no longer with this piece of furniture. it is easy to find 4 more. i have not cleaned the dust off this unusual piece. i just got it yesterday. it would seem to have the original finish and save for the pulls( and they may be original as well. it is exactly as it was made. perhaps victorian. Perhaps a little later. i WILL NOT SHIP this item. you may come and get it yourself. you may send someone to fetch it for you. on this matter i am firm. it is large and heavy. mom& jon are getting me some measurements now. height is 74 inches width( across the front) is 44" depth is 15" curved glass and frame 20" across and 49 1/2" high green leaded glass is 20" by 17 1/2" beveled mirror is about 17 1/

This is a superb quality french rose wood bookcase but could be used as a display cabinet. Showcase many different uses. The wood is a really amazing quality solid rosewood. This has been used as a TV cabinet they has the TV into the center. At some time it has been recovered inside with a fabric. this comes in several parts so I had to take the fabric out to dismantle the piece. It has 3 glass doors which open with a solid rosewood panel to the bottom. The center has 2 wooden shelves either side they have 3 shelves. This has many uses and also could have fabric put back inside to highlight any thing that is displayed inside. This was made in France circa 1890. There doesn't seem to be a makers label, but again the quality is superb. Measurements are 92 wide 92 high 18 deep.

This is a vintage bakers rack I purchased at the Brooklyn Flea about a year ago. I have decided to build built ins so I will not have a spot for it. It is in excellent condition. Dimensions are 54" wide. 20" deep, 66" tall. None of the stuff on the shelves are included. We added small plywood"feet" to keep this up off the basement floor. these are easily removed. This Teak wood bookcase was removed 3 months ago from a historic 100+ year old building at 25 Western Ave. in Petaluma. CA. building is pictured above) This was one of a group of bookcases that were brought over to America on a cargo ship and ended up on the third floor of this office building(up 6 flights of stairs) The third floor had been home to VolCafe' Coffee Inc. which is a coffee bean importer, for the last 30 years. A very fine antique. Circa 1880's, simple Eastlake style solid walnut two door bookcase over two drawer base. One piece construction. There are four walnut fronted maple adjustable shelves, the interior back boards also of maple. The panels on the two drawers, and the cornice panel, are burl walnut veneer. The doors retain the original wavy glass panels, and the lock. The drawers have their locks and original hardware. The sides of the walnut case are recessed panels. It is on iron casters. The furniture measures 81" tall by 45-1/2" wide by 16-1/2" the shelves 10-1/2 deep. Excellent condition: original finish, walnut boards without chip or cracks, burl veneer complete. Both glass panels without damage.

This is a superb oak French bookcase. Circa 1885. Some very fine carving all over this piece with leafs, berries, flowers, etc. in an overall organic motif. Sometimes called a hunt board by some dealers. Interior has been covered by the previous owner in reddish material; I have left it on as he looks nice but can be removed if you like. Three shelves are all movable on this two piece cabinet. Drawer pulls are carved integral to the drawer fronts. Note the bottom doors are different carvings from each other in heavy relief(shelf in bottom section) Carvings on this piece are in excellent condition with just the expected minor rub or loss. 52785 ANTIQUE 1890s BROWN MAHOGANY & MAPLE 48" 2 DOOR OVER 2 DRAWER BOOKCASE
A very nice antique. Circa 1890's- 1900's, mahogany solid, mahogany veneers, and mahogany stained maple, two door bookcase. There are eight adjustable shelves, with grooves for plates if desired. There are two ogee drawers with brass knobs below bookcase. The case is on casters. Bookcase measures 64" tall by 48" wide by 14" deep, each shelf 11-1/4" deep by 22" wide. Excellent condition: has been refinished, no chips or cracks to solids or veneers. Glass panel in right door is new replacement.
