A couple of the rubber foot caps are missing. Some of the rubber foot caps have worn through so that the metal has poked through the bottom(plan on buying new caps) Vinyl on both has some surface discoloration& wear and tears. They measure 15 1/4" in height& 20" square. The black frame looks pretty good. Some light rust and chipping as to be expected but much better than a lot of other similar pieces that I have seen. I'm a little obsessed with these little guys- I can't resist buying ... morethem when they look hideous and then sandblasting and repainting them to be beauties again. This is a smaller version of the Cosco stools. The seat and back are the original textured vinyl and are in good condition except on the seat, there is a small tear and could be fixed. You rarely see the vinyl in perfect condition since these chairs are from the 50's& 60's. The seat is 12" x 12" The height to the top of the seat is 22-1/2" tall and to the top of the back is 32" The metal back and the metal seat have been repainted and are in very nice condition. The chrome has some pitting in different areas but not bad at all. These chairs were made to be tough and after 50 years, there's still a lot of them around. He's ready for another 50 years- just needs a good home! This will be shipped with the back removed for cheaper shipping. It only has 4 screws. NICE CHAIR! This is ALL GLASS BEADS with a background of gorgeous yellow beads with swirling vines and pink& green flowers. I don't see any beads lacking. Though there may be a few, you are hard pressed to find them. If you are lucky enough to have a fine foot stool that would be pristine with a perfect top, here it is. The wood is a beautiful golden color English Pine. From the back it gives the appearance of being a very large barrel as it is made in a similar manner. This bench was purchased in the Massachusetts area about 50 years ago from an antique shop. The owner was told that it was an Irish Settle made in Ireland early 1800's. It appears to have been re-upholstered at some point- there is about 3" of padding that feels to be of foam. I have not lifted the fabric to be certain. But it does not feel to be down or horsehair etc. The fabric is a cut velvet jaquard. The oak is lovely, no cracks or splits, joinings are solid and strong. It is quite heavy at 65lbs. Period Antique Queen Anne footstool, vtg, pegged,wood,cloth,old furniture,stool
A Queen Anne style antique footstool being offered as found in the basement of an estate sale years ago. I purchased it with a full intent of having it restored and recovered. But it is untouched from when it was acquired. Since it is pegged, I thought that it may be period, but I am not an expert in this field. It probably is at least 19th century in age. My thoughts were that it was probably English, but I do not know the exact origin either. The four thick secondary woods appear to be pine. I am not sure of the legs, maybe chestnut? The pine forming the legs is quite thick measuring about 1 1/2" in thickness. The four sides appear to have peg holes for joining, yet the pegs are missing. Each leg appears to be made in 3 parts. The main part has a peg and is attached to the pine with the peg(a small crack is visible and I can see the ... morepeg) Each side piece of the leg is also attached with a peg. The stool is very sturdy, so I think someone has applied nails at a later period to provide strength. I definitely see nails. I believe that most of the nails on the sides were from old upholstery. There is a cloth top, but I think that the stuffing was applied ontop of the top. The stool measures about 18" in length, 15 1/2" in width and about 10" tall(now, without cushion top) It is in good condition as shown, but needs to be reworked to be functional and possibly refinished if that look is desired. It is being offered as found and untouched by me.

This is a rare and hard to find walnut victorian library ladder or library step circa 1880. When it folds open it has 2 steps and then a seat at the top. There are lathe turned stretchers that are side supports. The overall measurements are 30 1/2" tall. 15 3/4" wide, 12" deep at the top, and 24" deep at the base when the ladder is open. This piece is in original condition. There is a small amount of repair needed. The top seat has a slight warp in the rear. It can be used as is. It is structurally sturdy. The finish is original and can be cleaned or refinished. The seat and steps need small upholstery work. Original construction techniques including the use of shims to attach and tighten legs. One leg has been broken at the joint and reattached with a nail. Some worm holes consistent with age. A creative use for an old bed. This is an antique acorn top rope bed made from pine. It was converted into a bench. It is made from pine and has a rustic finish to it. It measures 56" long x 20" wide x 54" high. The height of the seat with 1" boards attached would be 22" It does not have any boards attached for the seat at the present time. For an additional $65.00 I will lightly sand. Stain and attach some rough pine boards to finish off the seat. This is in great condition with no signs of cracks or repairs. WONDERFUL CURVED BEDROOM BENCH DETAILED FRAME CABRIOLE LEGS REFINISHED FRAME
This is a beautiful elegant curved bedroom bench that would also work in the hall or in front of a bay window. The bench is circa 1880. The heavy frame is nicely carved and has cabriole legs. The frame has been refinished in a walnut finish. There is one foot that is loose and needs to have the screw tighten from the underneath of the frame when the upholstery is replaced and springs retied. I never reupholster furniture to resell because it is more times than not the wrong color. The upholstery is not horrible but appears to be from the 1940's and quite dated. This bench is quite large measuring 56" long. 17" deep at the ends, 15" deep at the center of the curve, 19" tall to the top of the fabric, and 16 1/2" tall to the top of the frame. It is a whopping 26" tall, 14.5" side-to-side and 14.5" front-to-back. This piano stool has claw feet, an intricate bottom support system of pillars and legs, and a swivel seat with a raised 10" backing for comfort. The seat swivels perfectly with no issues. The gap beneath the seat and the rest of the piano stool(where the swivel mechanism is) shows some glue work to secure the seat to the rest of the stool, and in no way interferes with the swivel mechanism. It is only visible when one turns the stool on its side and looks inside the gap; otherwise, it cannot be noticed. Here we have an antique mahogany constructed screw seat piano or organ stool made by the A. Merriam Company(they made pianos as well) based out of South Acton. Mass.the stool dates back to the 1890s, is very well made, sits very sturdy on the floor with no rocking.some of the features are: seat adjusts from 19" 23"using a hardened steel jack screw to spin the seat up/down. Seat is 14.5" diameter- has brass eagle claw feet.inbetween the talons is a solid crystal glass ball.all these are in nice shape- all spindles and supports are tight. Stool was never glued or obviously repaired- the bracket underneath the seat that secures the seat to the jack screw is in mint condition. Has no cracks or any other repair work done. Circa 1900 Gout Stool with embroider foot. Very old and very pretty Look!
You are bidding on an old gout stool. My dad says they use to roll gout foot on it to sooth the pain from Gout. I dont know how much of that I beleive but here it is. By the look of the carpentry and the embroider on it I believe it is very old and probably is alot older than I listed by the look of it. It has dark tacts on it that are hand pounded or made. They are not smooth but show that they are hand made. It was my mothers and she had it for a long long time. She loved antiques and I remember it when I was a kid at the foot of her bed. I am selling it for my dad now that my mother is gone. I hope you like it. The embroider is a phesant I think. 11 1/2" tall and 21" wide. It is actually very pretty. A Wonderful Mid 1800's Heavily Carved Peg Constucted Oak Bench From Scotland
This auction is for a wonderful old heavily carved oak bench from Scotland. It's a head turning doll. There is lot's& lots of carving on this bench. The patina is a beautiful dark oak. It's stable. Sturdy and quite heavy. It's put together with wooden"pegs" with a few of the older"flathead screws" and a few extra nails added from over the years. The craftsmanship on both the carving and the making of this bench is just wonderful, we seldom see items this old, this well made and still in good condition at anywhere what I would call a reasonable or affordable price. It could littery go into any room of your home. It would serve well a the foot of any bed. It would look wonderful in any entry or foyer. It is a nice looking functioning stool. There are no makers marks. It has ornate gold or brass colored feet. Three of them. It is 19" tall from floor to the top of the seat. It does not have a raising mechanism that I could locate. There is some slight wiggle to the seat but overall it is pretty in tact overall. Please see pictures. Others I could find while researching this seemed to be from the late 1800's. It has the unpolished brass claw feet. The glass balls have NO cracks and r in very good condition with bubbles. On the bottom of the glass feet are pads so they didn't get scratched or cracked. I will leave it up to the buyer to keep them on or remove them. On the underside it says TONK NEW YORK CHICAGO. There is what looks like a scratch on the main middle leg but is the way it came from the factory which is a flaw in the wood. Please look at the photos I've showed it in one of the pictures. Frist of all I am pretty sure this is rosewood. But it is what it is, which is beautiful medium color wood with what appears to be the original finish. It still retains the original wood seat trim! It is very sturdy and can be used as is. But I am very picky about my antiques and it is BEING SOLD AS A RESTORATION piece. ISSUES. SEE LAST FOUR PHOTOS 1. Repaired foot. Antique Machine Age Industrial Drafting Architect Wood & Cast Iron Swivel Stool
Here we have a really great late 1800s antique drafting table stool that is wood and cast iron. As you can see from photo 9 one leg has a crack in it and in photo 10 you can see an example of some cracking to the bent wood foot rest. If you look at photo 7 you will notice that only 3 of the 4 screw are the original ones but this stool is very sturdy when lowered like shown in photo 2. This stool also raises as shown in photo 5 but the seat becomes wobbly the higher that you go but the base is very solid. When at it's lowest this stool is about 30 inches tall. The foot rest is about 14 inches in diameter and the seat is about 14 1/2 inches in diameter. This item will ship FedEx ground so it can not be sent to PO Boxes. These are really neat. 3 are stamped with the numbers 392 the other 559 they each also have another set of numbers on them. They are in nice shape but have paint chips and cracks throughout, they all have castors on them, I put a cd in the first picture to give you an idea of size and the legs measure 21 5/8 inches long. I have for your consideration a Antique Cast Iron Footstool with a Needle Pointed Cover. Cast iron base is in black. There is some minor chipping to the paint and underneath there is evidence of a gold color paint. The top in upholstered in a vintage black ground needle point with oval beige center surrounded by flowers and leaves. The center of the oval beige has a bouquet of flowers done in petit point. Footstool in in very nice condition with no breaks or repairs. Needlepoint is very nicely executed. When needlepoint was placed onto the footstool. Some of the needlepoint canvas was left exposed, look at photo#8 for a closer look. It can only be seen if stool is turned upside down. Up for auction is an antique footstool with cast iron lion legs. Obviously the stool has been reupholstered over the years and is now sporting a green velvet fabric. The iron feet have also been spray painted gold. The stool measures 12-1/2 inches wide. 8-1/2 inches deep and 6-1/2 inches tall. Condition is good used and a little dusty.
