This is a beautiful walnut victorian bed circa 1880 that I had enlarged to fit a queen size mattress. The bed has a nice tall headboard and curved end footboard. The side rails are nice and wide. The bed was completely restored when I had it enlarged for the mattress.The headboard measures 77" tall at the top of the center crest. It is 69" wide at the side finial section and the main section is 65 3/4" wide. The footboard is 34" tall at the center and 65 3/4" wide with the nice curved end feature. The side rails are 20 1/2" wide at the top. 10" wide at the center, and 12" wide at the foot. The headboard has a nice crescent shaped center accented with applied circular molding with a nice carved applicate in the middle.There are 2 large and 2 small finials on the headboard. Be sure to add me to your! SIMPLE NATURAL ELEGANCE describes this 1860's era bed acquired at a Missouri Century Farm. The headboard. Foot, and side rails are all solid walnut. The 53 inch wide. 45 inch high headboard has a top row of small oblong shapes with v's cut out between them, and a round circle carved in the top of each shape, which contrasts with the simple applied horizontal lengths on the rest of the headboard and foot. A slat framework is attached to the inside of each side board; slats are not included. The side boards have a metal slide which hooks into the headboard and foot. The bed is easily assembled. Rare Drexel Declaration Walnut Hutch/Open Cupboard ~ Kipp Stewart
Very Rare Drexel Declaration Hutch/Buffet Designed by Kipp Stewart and Stewart MacDougall in the 1950's. Made of oiled walnut with rosewood accents. Has original white porcelain pulls. The buffet is listed in the original catalog as item# 851-110 and has the original automatic interior light. It measures 48 1/2" wide, 20" deep and 31" high. The hutch top however is elusive and is not listed in any catalog that I have found and I have never seen this piece advertised for sale. It is clearly marked as Declaration and has an item# of 851-210. It has the lovely rosewood accents on each side near the top and has the original textured white glass shelf inserts. It is fastened to the buffet by screws and a metal tab. Has a very Danish Modern look to it with the flared peaks at each side. It measures 11" deep at the bottom ... moreand tapers to about 6 1/2" at the top. It is 48 1/2" wide and stands 35 1/2" to the top of the flare. The bottom shelf is about 8 1/2" deep, the top one is about 6 1/2" deep. Neither shelf has a plate rail. I would rate the condition of this piece as excellent. The hardware on the bottom right door does not appear to latch properly but it opens and closes just fine. Up to you whether to replace or not. This is the Quintessential Mid Century Modern Tension Pole Lamp. Very Unique and stunning Design and in excellent working condition There are 2 shades( Lights) They are made of a Brass Frame with linen covered fiberglass and Wood trim on the outside of the shades. The metal on the shades. And top and bottom pole I believe is Brass. The center section of the pole is wood(I believe it's walnut. But not certain) It has a rotary turn on/off switch. Turn the switch once for one light, turn it again for the other light and again for both. It's designed to fit an approximately 8 foot ceiling. The tension spring at the top is tight and working properly.You set the disk on the ceiling and move the rest under it to set the tension. There is some tarnish on the brass. It has been quite a journey since then. After he passed away in 1971. His son this seller took over the business and has worked on well over 100 organs since then in Morton, Illinois, Galesburg, Illinois and now located in Altona, Illinois. This is walnut victorian marble turtle top table circa 1880. It has the original finish and original white marble. The table is the perfect size table to use in a hall or other small area where a lamp is needed. With the wall flush design it will fit nicely in a tight spot. The table weasures 34" wide at the back. 26" wide at the front, 16 3/4" deep at the center of the marble, and 28 1/4" tall to the top of the marble. The table sits on 4 brass rollers. Both the front and back legs are nicely carved as are the 4 stretchers and apron. At the center of the stretcher there is a finial on the top and bottom. On the apron front is a carved acorn. The original finish has some spots that have alligator but I like to keep the original finish when ever possible. Restored English military chest Circa 1970 Burled walnut veneers Brass hardware Bracket feet Dovetailed drawers Sturdy, Originally made around 1970 this military bachelors chest of drawers started out its life as a plain mahogany chest that was used in the barracks of the English RAF. When the chest was decommissioned a cabinet maker in England purchased it and restored it to the beautiful chest you see here today. He added thick burled walnut veneers to the top and drawer fronts accented with a black line decal and added sturdy ... morebracket feet. The new brass drawer pulls were also part of this restoration process. The result is a gorgeous dresser with a rich history and modern functionality. The sides of the dresser are still the original mahogany which show some signs of their age as you can see from the pictures. Each drawer also has dovetailed joints showing that this chest was constructed properly. At 32.75" tall this bachelors chest can be used to fill several functions around the home. It would function well in an foyer as the burled walnut has such an eye-catching quality. If you have a tall bed this chest is excellent as a bedside chest. All the drawers have dovetail joints. The right side drawers have wood pulls and the desk is craftsman style. The front and sides of the desk are paneled and in great shape. There is a pen tray in the center drawer and adjustable dividers in the bottom right side drawer. There are some scratches and spots on the desktop ... moreas well as a ink stain and what appears to be a cigarette burn. The overall condition is great. These imperfections just add to the character of this great desk. I do not know the maker or exact date the desk was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. The desk measures 31 1/8 inches tall, 42 1/8 inches side to side and 32 1/8 inches front to back. It weighs 112 pounds. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested.
