This tin is 24" x 24" However it has been framed with wood making the medallion 29" x 29" and approx. 1 1/2" deep. It has a raised dome center approx. 1" deep making the medallion approx. 2 1/2" drop(see photo) Yes. It has many layers of paint, scratches, chipping& cracking, but it has been surface cleaned& sealed to not lose it's patina. He travels all over the United States salvaging as many of these old ceiling tins as he can. He then stencils a Southwest figure on them. This tin features 3 cowboys on horseback. Some of the old chippy paint can still be seen on the borders. He just blackens the center frame around the figures. It's a wonderful visual effect! Antique Vintage Large Double Metal Ceiling Tin Tile 24"X48" Ornate
Hi. Up for auction a nice antique ornate 24"X48" ceiling tin. Ok for starters I have arou nd 90 of these to sell with alot of crown molding. Corners& a center medallion. Bought these at a 90+ year old church auction, they built a new church and sold what they could out of old church. I will take pictures of each one so you will be getting the one you see in pic. They will all have nail holes and a few small bends or wavey places but all n all they are in great shape. I can't say what kind of paint is on it as far as lead or not because I'm not for sure. The last picture is just so you can see how well they look together, the auction is for just one tile. Milcor tin Ceiling tile-milwaukee corrugating
A fairly cool little piece of history here can now be yours! From my understanding this tin tile was used by salesman to market the Milcor(Milwaukee Corrugating) invisible joint" ceiling tiles. This one. As you can see fits in my hand, measures about 5 in. x 5 in. It was salvaged and I did strip the paint off of it because I was curious as to what it looked like.as salvaged tin it does have some dings and imperfections but is in overall terrific shape. A fantastic vintage blue tin ceiling tile with raised designs that has been converted into a wall hanging piece of art. All over is crackling and chipping in the pain adding a rustic almsot French look to it.
