Gently used piece- good condition– NO major damage or defects; no dings, dents, cracks, or broken parts; does show some wear and tear(i.e. scratches throughout the piece, mainly on the bottom legs due to impact with a vacuum cleaner) The last 2 pictures show what type of imperfections to expect as far as scratches go. These are the 2 most severe examples of scratches present. You can expect some minimal scratching elsewhere. Please message me if you'd like additional pictures of a specific part or area. This piece is from Korea and is about 20 or so years old. The exterior design was handcrafted by a Korean artisan who cut each piece of mother of pearl and abalone shell to create the likeness of a peacock surrounded by a blooming bouquet of flowers and butterflies. Please note that the color of the mother of pearl changes depending on the light source- when under natural light. It has a silvery iridescent glow and under interior lighting(incandescent bulb) it has an amber glow. The entire piece is made out of wood painted with a black lacquer finish. The interior is wood also(unpainted) I believe pine, but I'm not exactly sure(it's definitely NOT particle board, though) and it features 2 separate sections(left& right) each with different smaller compartments inside, the details of which are described below. There are 2 sliding doors to access the right and left side and it does have a lock, but I no longer have the key. The size of the entire armoire is 7ft(L) x 6.25ft(H) x 2.25ft(D) approx. It disassembles into 6 major pieces(if I'm not mistaken) top section. 2 sliding doors, bottom section, left section and right section. The top section holds the entire piece together. Once this is pulled off, all the other pieces can be separated fairly easily as there aren't any hinges holding them together. LEFT SECTION Features 1

This handsome ornate oak armoire is called an“homme debout” standing man) and dates from the end of the 18 th century. It was bought by my great-grand mother in the 1930’s. It is 6'4" feet tall. 43 inches width and 19 inches depth. The armoire has been appraised by a French antique expert in 1999 before we moved to the US at 25.000 FF or 3,800 Euros/$4,900 US. The old finish is in very fine condition with glowing warm patina and just enough mars and wear for antique character. Waxed and polished. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its luster. The key is a handle only, the lock does not work and a modern magnetic latch keeps the door closed. Side panels are raised. Joints are secured with carved wooden pegs on this classic furniture from France. A hole was cut in the rough hewn back, presumably for a tv, now covered. Inside is a single later shelf, there are supports for additional shelves if desired or a closet pole could be installed. The crown lifts off for easier moving. The second thing that strikes you about this wardrobe is the colour and patination. The cabinetmaker that made this wardrobe chose some very good quality timbers for the job. This has resulted all these years later in a wardrobe with a gorgeous soft rich warm colour and patination that can only be attained by mahogany of this age and quality. Thirdly are the proportions. The design of this wardrobe is just right and the wardrobe benefits from having a good balance. Marcato con etichetta originale THONET-MUNDUS-BORLOVA sul retro del portavaso(come si puo' vedere dalla foto) Questo particolarissimo attaccapanni è dotato di 2 bracci laterali che in alto formano il caratteristico"riccio" perfettamente piegato e terminano in basso con l'attacco per gli abiti. La barra orizzontale superiore. Che termina con 2 pallini, può servire per appendere sciarpe, foulard, ecc. Scendendo verso il basso si trova un piano orizzontale semi-circolare che può servire come svuotatasche. Portavasi, portastatue,ecc. e una barretta semicircolare per appendere ombrelli,ecc. Ancora più in basso si trova l'area portaombrelli.Portabastoni delimitata da 8 graziosi fusilli. Sul fondo è ... moreposta la vaschetta rettangolare leggermente smussata. Questo modello di attaccapanni risalente circa al 1920 richiama in parte i modelli Thonet n° 10413 del 1907 e Kohn w675 del 1916. L'attaccapanni e' perfettamente restaurato. Completo in tutte le sue parti e di una bella tonalità. Vi si può appendere con sicurezza qualsiasi indumento. Può essere posizionato in qualunque ambiente perchè non occupa molto spazio. Marcato con cartiglio originale FISCHEL sotto il portaoggetti(come si puo' vedere dalla foto) Bellissimi e perfettamente piegati nella parte superiore i ricci dei 5 bracci dell'attaccapanni che in basso terminano con eleganti cornini. Caratteristiche Fischel le pigne in alto sopra i 2 supporti cilindrici laterali e i bottoncini sulle gambe. Bello il motivo a scudo nella parte centrale. Elegantissima la parte inferiore con i 2 grandi ricci laterali perfettamente piegati che sostengono il bastone portaombrelli riccamente lavorato e il piano portaoggetti. Sinuose le gambe laterali che presentano i tipici bottoncini Fischel. L'attaccapanni e' perfettamente restaurato e di un bel colore noce medio. Marcato a fuoco THONET in basso sotto a una delle 4 gambe(come si puo' vedere dalla foto) Visibile sul catalogo"CASA THONET" con il n° 1/10401. ho contrassegnato l'attaccapanni sulla pagina del catalogo con 2 freccette) Nella parte superiore dell'attaccapanni ci sono 8 bracci perfettamente piegati che hanno sulla parte superiore eleganti ricci e nella parte inferiore graziosi pallini per appendere gli abiti. Il corpo centrale dell'attaccapanni riccamente scanalto è dritto e perfettamente verticale. Nella parte inferiore. C'è il portaombrelli arricchito da 4 grossi ricci che si prolungano in doppie gambe perfettamente piegate che servono a sostenere tutto l'attaccapanni. 4 piedi perfetti sono posti in basso.
