I am unsure of the exact age or manufacture of the piece. It features a gorgeous crown molding around the top, for a majestic finished look. The piece also features an embossed carving of scrolling vines, capped with a shell motif at the top of the door. The mirror features a a one inch bevel around the perimeter.

It is solid cherrywood throughout(except the back panel) With a striking classic cherry finish. It has a recent professionally done restoration and it is in excellent antique/restored condition. All parts are solid and fit together as they should although the top trim piece sags a bit in the middle(see photos) The doors open and close smoothly. All original hinges and solid brass hardware. As you can see on the pictures, the carvings are related to the Catholic religion. An excellent example of handmade workmanship, produced for a cloister between 1790- 1830. It has survived two world wars and has been completely restored.
