It is QUITE UNUSUAL with ornate metal work on ALL 4 CORNERS on the TOP of the chest.as well as ALL 4 CORNERS on the FRONT of the chest. Both front doors also have a metal SHIELD decoration and one side has a key lock which I do not have the key for. Nor do I know if it works.but looks very classy with all the Victorian Fancy Hardware. When opened. It reveals 3 drawers ~ 1 larger bottom one and 2 smaller side ones. It also has an open space to the right of the smaller drawers. The HANDLES on the 3 drawers are ORNATE with UNUSUAL DROP BAIL PULLS! ONE pull is MISSING. There is one pull which is unattached and as there is some metal damage to the 2 other handles. It will need some fixing.but still acceptable for its age in my opinion. Back is made of 2 pieces of wood and is not split. Just age seperation. The bottom is covered in old felt. CONDITION: ONE SIDE of the cabinet/chest has a center split in the wood. La parte superiore dotata di 8 bracci è girevole ed estraibile. I ricci della cappelliera sono perfettamente piegati nella parte superiore; in quella inferiore terminano con graziosi pallini. 2 cerchi perfetti collegano gli 8 bracci. Nella parte inferiore c'è un bellissimo portaombrelli dotato di 4 grossi ricci perfettamente piegati attorno ad un cerchio che serve da attacco per gli ombrelli. Caratteristiche Thonet sono anche le pigne ai due estremi inferiore e superiore dell'asta centrale. L'attaccapanni e' perfettamente restaurato in tutte le sue parti. His gorgeous super high end French Armoire from the early 1700s has large marror doors on large steal henges. With fancy hand carved simbils on the top& midle of the doors. I added a matching cabinet from the same period and same hard heavy oak wood that fitted in there perfectly with four little screws. Used it for the last 15yrs to lock up my silver and gold, extremely functional& desirable. Size 28" deep, 57" wide, 86" tall. I'm starting the bid at $1400. Which is less then half of what I paid for it in the 1990s. This is an incredible piece of furniture to own. Should retail for around $5k to $7k. Every surface shows tool and planing marks. Carved wooden pegs secure the corners. Crown and doors are removable for easier moving of this historic furniture from southern France. The old finish is in very fine condition with warm antique patina. Waxed and buffed. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm glow. Antique French Serpentine Louis XV pre 18th Century foot stool/rest ottoman
Hi! This is an authentic pre 18th century antique from France. It has wonderfully curvaceous legs and is hand carved out of solid wood. No veneers or partical board like the reproductions. The bottom is constructed of plank boards held together with wooden pegs. Metal brackets were added recently for extra support. I believe the upholstery as well as the nail heads to be original. This is a beautiful Louis XV Walnut French armoire. It stands tall and proud and is an impressive piece with rich texture to the wood finish. The motif looks like an eye at the top and an eye on the bottom- quite unusual! The armoire is 24" deep. 54" 4'5" wide, 91" 7'7" tall. We are unsure of the weight but estimate at around 175lbs. It's been very well cared for in a smoke free home. There are minor marks here and there and it looks like the back right leg was repaired a long time ago. Missing the key. This Antique Wedding Shrunk was bought in Germany from a local Antique Dealer. It is estimated to have been made in 1776. This type of Wardrobe was given as a wedding gift. They are very rare as many of the German Antiques were used as firewood during the wars. This piece is appraised for replacement at $10.000.00. This piece is very fragile d/t it's age and would be best to be picked up and not shipped. Style and beauty of this piece, especially with the Ormolu piece on top and feet. I believe the wood is walnut. The wood on the doors and drawers are a burled pattern. There are matching two nightstands. Twin beds and dresser/ commode which will be listed separately. This piece is in very good condition. Especially considering its age. I have included photographs of a missing piece(which I have) on the mirrored door and two spots on the legs where apparently my previous shih tzu chewed a bit. I did not even know these existed until I took these photos. I’m sure a professional refinisher could make quick fixes of these. This beautiful armoire is in excellent condition and would have been a cherished heirloom for a bride and her new husband during the 18th Century in the Normandy Region of France. Much care and detail has gone into the production of this piece to accentuate its' magnificent appearance. Mahogany wood with a beautiful finish presents a piece anyone would love to have in their home to store or display their most cherished items. This distinctive armoire is a reproduction of very high quality with attention to detail and is a one owner piece. The cabinet measures 84"H 48"W 22"D. 3 shelves 20" deep provide for storage or display of items. Small electrical supply provision was made in back of cabinet but no shelves have been removed from the piece. Buyer makes all shipping arrangements.

Italian 1770 Antique Walnut Armoire or Closet. Original Iron Lock& Hardware. This magnificent armoire was hand carved about 1770 in northern Italy of solid walnut with burl panels and inlaid banding. The old finish is very well preserved with warm antique patina and just enough mars and shrinkage separations from age for character. Waxed and buffed. All that is needed to maintain its warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Hand hewn. Planing marks plus hand cut dovetail joinery show the work of a master craftsman. The wrought iron giant lock and key are original and work. Hand wrought hinges and pulls are beautiful. This European furniture can be disassembled for moving. Removable pine shelves inside are later. Interior depth is 21, functional for a closet.
