The inside partitions are wood also and there are 22 of these, of varying sizes. The wood used for this has a light stain and is beautifully grained. The case has magnetic closures and also has two hangers. There are a few light scratches on the case, also the original closing clasp has been changed and the tiny holes for this remain. The surface is very rusty so you can hardly see the original surface, but the wonderful embossed lettering still stands out dramatically. The item up for auction is one very cool very old lever handle. It appears to be made of copper(Boris bluish oxidation at nooks) and a dark hardwood. Perhaps mahogany. Please note I am not a metal or wood specialist. This is simply a presumption I've made. The maine shaft looks to be steel and the pin that holds the removable handle is shows rust. The handle is marked with the number 295 and what appears to be the word"Christiania. rvriler fabrik. The letters are very hard to read and I may have mid read them. For sale is a" STEWART" stove door. Found this all metal greyish and white door without the stove anywhere in sight. Awaits your project or decor. This door is for either an old gas or wood cooking stove and is in pretty good shape. There are no hinges and the back(see pictures) has'holes' where the hinges once were. Also is missing a couple bolts/screws(could be hinge related) The front does have some staining and rust spots(mainly around the edges) but otherwise looks nice. Has" STEWART" written right in the middle. About 19 1/2" long. 12 3/4" wide, and weighs around 10 1/2 pounds. A solid piece that I could not pass up and know someone has a great use for. The 6" long handle is intact and firmly attached. This door will certainly need some rehab work if it is once again going to be put on a stove ... morebut I think it could be a valuable addition. Antique Wood & Porcelain Door Bells Domed Push Button Ringers For Parts?
Here I have a lot of early wood backed porcelain domed door bell& parts! One is in very good condition with wood back and domed porcelain button push with the little dinger works and the others are incomplete. The largest is 2 1/2" round that has the wood back& inside dinger parts. The complete one is 2" round by 1" high. Then there is a 2" dinger part. 1 single porcelain dome button that has a flaw from the making on the top that looks like a chip but it is smooth and looks like it was made that way but one edge has a small chip to it but still will work fine if put in a wood back. The single button is 1/2" high. All will need wiring but the one that is complete is solid and could be wired as is. Great old finds! Thank u for looking!
