The size of the door is 1-1/8"thick x 72-1/4"long x 35-1/4"wide, that is not counting the stretcher boards holding the door together, counting them the door will about double in thickness. Some doors are more unique than others, some have the rusty strap hinges on them, others have the antique wooden slides to lock and open the door, and some just have some unique accessories on them, I would recommend looking and zooming in at the pictures to see the great detail and the unique characteristics of each door. The doors have been kiln dried. There is a picture of the front, back and a close up of the wood as well. The doors would have to be freighted out or picked up locally. Real Purple Gang Saloon antique wood door... Gangster Mob Prohibition
I have a very unique piece from the early 1900's era. This great find was one of the many treasures left behind in my old. Detroit building. In the 1920's my building belonged to the infamous Purple Gang. At that time the building was an old funeral home, used mainly as a front for their alcohol smuggling. MY building is located very close to the Detroit River where most of the smuggling was taking place, before it was then transported to the speakeasies, as well as other warehouses and locations for distribution. In the attic of the funeral home part of the building I found this great. Wooden half door. It has stiff weathered, aged hinges still attached. The wood is still very solid, with no splits or major cracks. Measures 27" wide with the hinges, and 35 1/2" tall. The finish is very aged and weathered. Penn Antique Restoration. 32"x 80"x1.75" Antique Interior Birch Door w/Wooden Louvers. Up for sale is a lovely. Antique, interior door salvaged from Northeastern Ohio. It is not a hollow door; the door weighs around 80lbs! It has a solid. Wooden core made of Douglas Fir covered with 1/8" birch veneers. The majority of the door is flush, without any ornamental detail. There is a panel in the bottom half of the door with horizontal, wooden, louvers acting as a vent. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Plus, the veneer work on this particular door is quite exquisite. The manufacturers quad-matched the veneer as if it were a fine piece of furniture. ... moreThey definitely don't make them like this anymore! Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. 31.5"x89" Antique Victorian Swinging Solid Fir Wood Interior Door 5 Raised Panel
Penn Antique Restoration. 31.5"x89" Antique Victorian Swinging Door w/5 Panels. Magnificent. Antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir, and is finished on one side and painted blue on the other. There are 5 raised panels on both sides of the door. Notice the chamfered(routed) edges with lark's tongue detail bordering every panel-what great Victorian style details! The door was converted at some point into a"swinging door. which means that it was installed with a spring-loaded, pivot hinge installed in it's bottom corner, and swung both forward and backward like a saloon style door. The door no longer has it's pivot hinge or push plates. However, just because it was used as a swinging door, doesn't mean that you have to. We could cut off the rounded ... moresides and trim the door to 30"W, or we could cut and then add to the sides to widen it to 32" or wider. We could also cut the height of the door to just above of the area where the hinge was installed(which would make the door 87 3/4" Or if you need the height or need it taller, we could plug the mortised area and even add to it. 30"x83" Antique Arts Crafts Swinging Solid Wood Interior Door Shaker Style Panel
Penn Antique Restoration. 30"x83"x1.75" Antique Arts& Crafts Swinging Door w/4 Panels. Wonderful. Arts& Crafts style antique door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door has a solid, oak core covered with 1/8" oak veneers on one side(green side) and 1/8" pine veneers on the other(beige side) Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Oak is a very dense wood and the door would've warped long ago if it weren't for its veneers. The door has a rare design featuring 4 recessed panels: 1 square panel on top and 3 long. Vertical panels below. Notice that there is no molding around the inner edges of the panels-shaker ... morestyle! The door was previously used as a"swinging door. which means that it had a spring-loaded, pivot hinge installed in it's bottom corner, and swung both forward and backward like a saloon style door. The door no longer has it's pivot hinge or push plates. However, just because it was used as a swinging door, doesn't mean that you have to. We could cut the height of the door to just above of the area where the hinge was installed, or if you need the height or need it taller, we could plug the mortised area and even add to it. Look at the last photos of another door that we modified as an example. Condition: The upper hinge stile corner has a fairly big break. However, the break is only on one side of the door. It looks worse than it actually is. The corner is still tight and the break is not structurally threatening. We could patch the break as well as make any other repairs that you see fit-email us for a quote. Otherwise. There are minor cosmetic blemishes from top to bottom, which are normal for a 100+ year old door. Antique Wood Five Panel Door From My 1912 Home Beautiful Condition Some Hardware
Up for auction is a beautiful 5 panel door that was between the kitchen and dining room of my home that was built in 1912. It has a gorgeous woodgrain pattern. I assume it to be oak. But I am not expert enough to verify that. I have included several pics to show the pattern. It is approximately 79" tall, 29.5" wide and 1&3/8" thick and weighs 50 lbs. The door has a solid wooden core made of Douglas Fir covered with 1/16" birch veneers. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/16" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. The center glass is flat. Tempered glass and the surrounding lites are beveled. The original, center lite was replaced with this one at some point. When it was replaced, the previous owner also replaced the molding that surrounded the glass with some thin strips of wood, not real molding. We could remove these strips, and make and add molding similar to what the rest of the windows ... morehave. Hardware: This door was originally a part of a pair of double doors. I'm not sure what happened to the other door. But the two were separated at some point. The other door had the knob and lock installed. And it was the one that was most frequently used. This was the stationary door in the pair. Which was locked in place with it's flushbolt(the vertical. Sliding door lock-see 3rd photo) for most of the time. 18th C RARE PRIMITIVE EARLY HORSE RANCH CORRAL WOOD GATE BARN DOOR BED HEADBOARD
this 18th century old early original primitive horse ranch corral wooden gate is an exceptional piece of very early horse farm history. it has the best true early aged surface. the hinge post is slightly longer so it tilts a bit when standing. total measurements are 69 1/4'h x 49 1/4'w x 2 7/8' in thickness and weighs about 90 pounds. one of its highlights is the built in sliding gate latch which i think is just great and love about it. it is in all original as found untouched condition. some insignificant minor wood losses and anomolies consistant with a piece of this age but it is in nice stable and solid condition. the upper curved board does have an very early split which has an old wire repair which does not affect the integrety at all and i think just adds to its authentic character. this would look awesome as wall hanging ... morefolk art or a standing piece anywhere that can accomodate room for it. this would especially make for the most unique stunning bed headboard. its being offered for a pick up however i can assist with frieght shipping arrangements.

Auctioning very old Pair of Chinese c.1700's Hand Carved Wood Door Panels of delightful 2 Birds in Trees looking at each other. E ach is 9.5" square. Two birds looking at each other from their perches in the trees. A truly amazing pair. They are Hand Carved Wood Door Panels which would have been displayed for luck on an entry door. And were taken from the entry door of an ancient home prior to construction of the 3 Gorges Dam in China, the world's largest dam over a mile wide. Wherein a huge area of land was flooded. Look around and you might see these types of quality in door panel carvings for $1,000 and more apiece and quite plain by comparison. Each of the pair is a finely carved solid piece of circular hardwood. And appears to be affixed to the flat square base of the panel, which is a different softer type of wood, and ... morepainted in ox blood and gold paint, which was traditional technique. These would have been on the front door of a very fine and prosperous family home. Dirty, have not cleaned, some wood losses mainly to the softer base wood, and a few cracks due to age of the wood, so please see photos. Antique Vintage Decorative Wood Coal Cast Iron Stove Door Part 1
This decorative cast iron stove door was found recently. It is very rusty so you can hardly see the original surface. But the wonderful embossed designs stand out dramatically, nevertheless. The door has nice mica windows. I'm not sure of the brand of stove that it was part of as there are no marks that I can see to identify it. Restoring this piece to a working stove would be great, but it could also be repurposed as interior or garden wall decor. The rusty patina is super attractive and I have left it as it was found. Measurements are about 16 1/2” overall width(including the hinge brackets) or 15 3/4" for just the door x 8" height. With a 1 5/8” depth. The framework that hold the windows in place may be missing a pc. Otherwise it looks to be in good condition. It is as seen in the photos so look closely.
